Abstract The objective of this research is to identify the organizational obstacles, the educational obstacles and obstacles of human to achieve academic accreditation in college of education at King Khalid University, and provide methods and assistances to overcome the obstacles from the perspective of faculty. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used a descriptive analytic method with a sample consisted of (50) members of faculty from college of education. Moreover, the researcher designed a questionnaire as research tool consisted of (57) items distributed into two dimensions: First one related to the obstacles to achieve academic accreditation at college of education from the perspective of faculty, and this dimension divided into 3 areas (organizational, educational, and human) obstacles. Second dimension related to the methods and assistances to overcome these obstacles from the perspective of the faculty. The research tool (questionnaire) was applied in the first semester of the academic year 1432 / 1433 AH. The results of the research indicated that the degree of approval of the obstacles in general was "I agree" with mean score (3,76), and the degree of approval of the methods and assistances generally was "strongly agree" with mean score (4,43). The obstacles were ranked in descending according to the degree of approval as following: educational obstacles with mean score (3,86), organizational obstacles with mean score (3,77), and obstacles of human with mean score (3,61). There is no statically significant differences at P < 0,05 level among the mean responses of the sample about the obstacles to achieve academic accreditation and the methods and assistances to overcome these obstacles, depending on the scientific degree variable and years of experience variable. In light of these findings , the researcher presented a number of recommendations including: - search for mechanisms for disseminating culture of academic accreditation among the academic administrative staff, faculty and students at the college and encourage them to participate in seminars and scientific conferences internally and externally. - search for new and various methods to increase financial resources of the college. - care of the college labs and learning resources through providing them with modern learning aids. - care of the faculty and their scientific researches, and give them encouraged stimulus. Finally, the researcher suggested that performing a study about the obstacles to achieve the institutional accreditation at the college of education and other colleges from the perspective of deans, vice-deans and administrators. And execution a study in the public education about the obstacles to achieve the school accreditation and methods to overcome from the perspective of teachers.
