I’m keen on chess. It is a very

interesting and funny game

for 2 people. Chess is an

ancient intellectual game,

which has a long history. For

the game you need a board,

16 white pieces and 16 black

pieces (8 pawns , 2 rooks , 2

knights , 2 bishops , a queen

and a king). Each piece moves

in its own way. The task is to

“Our Family”

Hello! My name is Irina. I

like playing “My Family”.

This game is for girls. It can

be played by 2 people, or a

group of 6. In the game we

face many situations of adult

life. We marry, quarrel, work,

calculate the family budget,

go shopping and so on. If you

want to play, you need a dice

and gambling chips. You

throw the dice, make the steps

and do the task. The winner is

the player, who comes first to

the last cell of the field –

“Silver Wedding”.

“Monopoly”

Hello! I’m Anton. I love to

play “Monopoly”. This game

is for 2 people or a group of 6.

The game was invented in

1934 by an American –

Charles Darrow. The first

games were handmade, and

Darrow gave them to friends.

The object of the game is to

become the wealthiest player

through buying, renting and

selling property. One by one

players throw the dice, move

their tokens and do the tasks -

buy real estate or other

properties, -or pay rent, taxes,

"Go to Jail", etc. The game

can be very long. Let’s play?

“Chess”

Hello! My name is Pavel. I

love playing board games. My

favourite one is chess. It is

played by 2 people. It is an

ancient intellectual game. It

combines elements of sport,

science and art. It helps to

form personality, teaches to

think logically, to plan

actions, and develops

concentration. Each player

has 16 pieces (8 pawns , 2

rooks , 2 knights , 2 bishops ,

a queen and a king). The rules

are difficult, because they

move differently. The goal is

to checkmate the king of the

opponent – “Shah” = King,

“Mat” = died. So, we can

translate it as “The King is

dead”. It is a really great

game!
