1902 충청남도 목천군 ( 현 천안 ) 에 태어남 Born in Jireongri , Chungcheongnamdo. (Chonan)

1905 을사능약 (Protectorate Treaty)

1915 이화 학당 보통과 2 학년편입 1918 이화 고등 보통학교 1 학년에 진학 (advance to Ewha High School first grade)

목천진명학교로부터 이화학당으로• 1916 년 시애리시 선교사의 알선으로 • 사촌언니 유예도와 함께 이화학당 보통과에 편입 . • 1918 년 보통과를 졸업 고등과 1 학년이 됨

반성문• 저는 1918 년 12 월 3 일 , 기숙사에서 잠을 자던 중 고학생이 만두 파는 소리를 듣고 이 엄동 설한에 얼마나 고생이 심할까 하는 불쌍한 생각이 들어 비상금을 털어 몰래 기숙사를 나왔습니다 . 그리고 만두를 사 오다가 들켰습니다 .

Letter of Apology

• On December 2nd, 1918, while sleeping in bed at the dormitory, I heard the voice of someone selling dumpling. He sounded like a struggling, poor student trying to earn money in this bitterest weather. I felt sorry for him. So I emptied my emergency money and sneaked out of the dormitory. I was caught as I was stealthily returning to the dormitory with the dumplings. I have defied the school rule. I am willing to receive any form of punishment. 저는 학당 규칙을 어겼으므로 어떤 벌이라도 달게 받겠습니다 .
