The purpose of the article is to provide a method for the analysis of proper names which is based on thequantitative comparison of different types of proper names. Having made such an analysis, a scholar canbetter understand the author’s intention and the model of reality the writer creates.

The article analyses the concept of Recreational Activity and its basic characteristics. The main purposeof the study is to explore teenagers’ preferences with regard to outdoor activities and to create a socialmodel of recreational activity. Special emphasis is placed on the transformation approach based criteriafor choosing recreation activities. The sociological study the article reviews shows what changes occur inthe structure of recreational activities.
