헤더윅 사진

자신 스스로를 3 차원적인 (3 Dimentional) 디자이너라고 부르며 , 재료와 아이디어 , 그리고 장소 (place) 에 특히 관심이 많은 것으로 알려져 있다 . 1994 년 헤더윜 스튜디오를 설립한 이래로 건축 , 조각 , 도시 구조물 (urban infra-structure), 제품 , 전시 등의 다양한 분야에서 디자인 프로젝트를 수행했다 . 작고 아담하게 생긴 헤더윅 스튜디오에서는 디자인 전공자들뿐 아니라 엔지니어 , 설계구조 전문가 , 건축가 등 다양한 배경을 가진 35 명의 팀원들이 다양한 아이디어와 재료 , 제조공정을 실험하고 연구한다 .

Established by Thomas Heatherwick in 1994, Heatherwick Studio is recognised for its work in architecture, urban infra-structure, sculpture, design and strategic thinking. Today a team of 170, including architects, designers and makers work from a combined studio and workshop in Kings Cross, London.

At the heart of the studio’s work is a profound commitment to finding innovative design solutions, with a dedication to artistic thinking and the latent potential of materials and craftsmanship.
