Weekends can be meaningful to some people. Day in and day out, people are keptbusy with tight schedules. Working parents must rush to the office while school-going children hurriedly go to schools early in the morning. Hence, it is during theweekends one finds time to do something.
Weekends are important to complete various tasks. Working mothers take up thisopportunity to clean the house, go marketing and complete any chores that areoverdue. School-going children take this opportunity to complete their school workor even catch up with their revision.
For in some families, weekends are their time to be together. They go out for
family outings like going for a picnic, shopping at the shopping complexes or evenspring cleaning the home.
On weekends, families have more time to relax. Family members can sit quietly tolisten to music or read a book. They can even laze around or sleep longer. This willenable them to catch up with lost sleep and reenergise for the coming week.
Weekends are an important time for big events and celebrations. Some peopletake this opportunity to organise parties, dinners and even social functions. Justlook at the restaurants during weekends, they are packed with wedding dinnersand birthday parties. There are also people who have gathered around tocelebrate and commemorate an important event.
Hobby enthusiasts would look forward to a weekend to catch up with their hobbies. There will be time for gardening, jogging, swimming or even playing badmintonwith friends and children. So, weekends are important for everyone.
