Abstract

Experimental planting of larch seedlingswas carried out inLarixsibirica forest

fullydestroyed by Siberian silkmoth in green zone of Gachuurt village of Ulaanbaatar city. Two

years old larch seedlings were planted in the autumn and spring.The survival rate and annual

height growth of larch seedlings planted in the autumn were higher than seedlings planted in the

spring. Planted seedlings are exposed to a high risk of mortality from livestock.Therefore, it is

necessary to protect the forest plantation from grazing by fencing or by displacing livestock from

tree planting sites ofGachuurt village green zone.
