Grade Recommendation: All Grades
The goals of this project are to gain an understanding of educational culture in other countries. To accomplish this, the students must become more aware of their own educational culture and use the tools provided by APEC to learn more about schools from other countries. Education cultures of students in other countries will be compared and contrasted to your own, and the exchange of ideas and experiences will be emphasized. Appreciating and understanding cultural differences around the world is the most significant objective for this international collaborative learning project.

APEC Cyber Academy is a great opportunity for students to learn about how the weather is different across the part of the planet known as the Pacific Rim. In this project, students will create web pages that discuss the climate in their region, and will report on their weather observation. Students will also report on severe weather and natural disasters that can occur in their region and come up with a preparedness plan.
