<1st Speaker - 안수민>    Good afternoon. We are here to propose the business plan that our team worked on. The name of our company is 'Warmy&Clothy', or 'W&C' for short. We took its name from the target product that we are planning to manufacture.      Now I'm going to tell you about our product specifically. The product which we are going to produce is the tent and blanket using thrown away clothes and umbrella. Clothes and umbrella are gathered by placing a collection unit at apartment or house. These are picked up once a week and delivered to the factory. Also, if donator wants, they can send them to the factory directly by parcel service. Gathered clothes are classified to cotton and vinyl. In this process, clothes which are not appropriate to make tent and blanket are classified and donated to the orphanage.    Firstly, cotton material is used to make blanket. The entire concept of blanket is 'quilting.' We make blanket by joining small square cotton together which are cut off from each clothes.            Secondly, vinyl clothes and umbrella are used to make tent. Because clothes are used as the cover of the tent, it is much better if they are waterproof. Umbrella is assorted by umbrella ribs and vinyl. Umbrella ribs are used to make tent's support fixture, and vinyl is utilized to make tent's cover.     After making tent and blanket, these are sold to our customers by the form of package. It means that tent and blanket are going to be sold together.

<2nd speaker - 최자연>      I think you might be puzzled about who our customers are. The target customers of our company are ‘international relief organizations’. To promote your better understanding of what these organizations are, and why they are our target customers, I will give you some brief information regarding this area.      My team members and I got the motive of our business idea from the liberal arts class that I attend in this semester, which is ‘International Relief and Cooperative Development’. In that class, I learned about the situation of refugees around the world, and how these relief NGOs support them.       First of all, refugees are the people who flee to a foreign country to escape danger or persecution. International relief NGOs are the non government organizations that try to support the refugees who do not have food, water, shelter, or healthcare service. As refugees are deprived of necessities needed for their lives, many of them die during the evacuation period. In order to save their lives, many relief NGOs construct what is called

‘refugee camp’. Refugee camp is the place where relief NGOs or other related organizations build, to accommodate the refugees who are homeless. In refugee camps, refugees can live safely with the supplies such as tents, foods, water, blankets or etc, provided by relief NGOs.      Here’s what gets important. In order to build refugee camps, NGOs need supplies. Thus, they raise a fund from normal people around the world, and buy the supplies from private enterprises. This is where our team got the idea. We decided to plan a manufacturing business that engages in producing necessities that relief NGOs need. We plan to manufacture and sell the tents and blankets to relief NGOs who need our products for the refugees at the camp.

<3rd speaker - 이은주>    I’ll explain the advantages and effects of our product. The most important point is that we can kill two birds with one stone.     Because the source of our product is clothes which people in our country don’t wear, actually, we are not buying materials. As we collect those clothes from used clothes collection unit, we are recycling it into the new product. That means not only we can make no trash from worn out clothes but also we can produce a new thing from the “used ones”. Unlike normal aid companies, our company reduces the material cost. Therefore, we can sell products at cost that is as low as the prime cost.    Secondly, we have differentiated sales strategies from other companies. Commonly, most companies own its factory and shops too. Those companies sell their products in stores. However, our business would reduce the cost for shipping. We would not sell products in stores. We will make a direct dealing with the related international organizations. Therefore, we don't have to move the products to another place. In addition to it, it would be much cheaper than rival companies.     Lastly, I will explain what our main goal is. The eventual goal of the business is to help refugee camps. By providing cheaper aid than any other companies, we can improve their quality of lives and welfare.
