expenditure & clinical status of the patient. Adult Average daily nitrogen requirements: 0.16-0.35 g/kg/day (approximately 1-2 g of amino acids/kg/day). Infants Average daily nitrogen requirements: 0.35-0.45 g/kg/day (approximately 2-3 g of amino acids/kg/day). Average daily energy requirements: 25-40 kcal/kg/day.

禁忌 Renal failure in the absence of haemodialysis, haemofiltration or haemo-diafiltration. Severe liver disease. Amino acid metabolism disorder. Metabolic acidosis, hyperlactataemia. Adrenal insufficiency. Hyperosmolar coma.

注意事項 Solutions with an osmolarity > 800 mOsm/L should be infused via a central vein.
