    of 70F (21C) and a maximum of 85F (29C).CAUTION

The toasting of coated or buttered productssuch as garlic bread, cheese sandwiches andsweet rolls is NOT recommended. Residue willreduce toaster performance and could possiblyignite inside the toaster.

CAUTIONWhen setting up the unit for operation, makesure power to the unit i s off and the toaster is atroom temperature. Failure to do so could resultin personal injury.

TOAST FEED RAMPThe toast feed ramp is installed at the factory andcan be used in two positions. See Figure 6.

    1. When in the upright position, the toaster is set forautomatic feed. Bread products enter the toasterby placing them on the feed ramp and releasing.

    2. For manual feeding of product, tip the feed rampuntil it rests on top of the unit. In this positionbread products can be manually loaded byplacing directly on the conveyor belt.

CAUTIONSome exterior surfaces on the unit will get hot.Use caution when touch ing these areas to avoidinjury.

TOAST CRUMB TRAYInstall toast crumb tray directly below the conveyorbelt and below the stop pins. Insert until the front ofthe crumb tray meets the stop pins. See Figure 7.

CAUTIONTo avoid damage to the unit or injury to

For rear discharge install toaster chute from therear of the toaster with the curved end in, and the lipof the chute over the inside set of pins. SeeFigure 9.

    TQ-400, -800, -1200 & -1800 SERIESTQ-400, -800, -1200 and -1800 series toasters usea separate discharge chute and collector pan.

For front discharge install the chute first by placingthe curved end inward until the rear lip of the chuteis on the upper most set of pins and the front slotson the chute are on the inside set of pins. Positionthe collector pan, with the open end in first, over theremaining sets of pins. Align slanted notches overthe pins and lower into place. See Figure 10.
