Addition of PMUs

PMUs were artificially deployed in the baseline power system with increasing levels of penetrations (LOPP).

PMUs were installed in higher voltage substations. The rationale behind this approach is to mimic the way utilities will deploy PMUs.

A total of 143 PMUs were deployed corresponding to 470 phasordata analog points defined in the Oracle data source DB.

This consists of mixture of absolute values such as voltage and current angles, and difference values such as voltage angle difference and power factor angles. Current magnitudes were also defined.
