3) Identify and prioritize guidelines developed by international agencies related to chemical waste management. e.g. )Basel convention, PIC, POPs, METAP, EU, WHO)

4) Ensure that necessary G.L are in place and understood from the stockholders and properly implemented.

5) Ensure that all wastes and chemicals management steps are implemented properly according to related requirements and guidelines )import, manufacture, transport, collect, handle and disposal)

6) Ensure that Swaqa and other landfill sites are functioned properly according to per-set guidelines

7) Develop and sustain necessary data base for monitoring of chemicals and waste management e.g. )Jordan chemical safety webpage, Jordan hazardous substances management system, Jordan POPs Webpage, Expert database) in cooperation with awareness directorate .

1) Develop of national emergency plan for environmental protection and pollution control in emergency cases in cooperation with national emergency committees for environmental protection.

2) Ensure that the national emergency committee are properly function according to their responsibilities mentioned in the by law 26/2005.
