Biofuels
Mandatory blending of biofuels is set in Latvia:
– 5% of bioethanol to all 95 octane gasoline;
– 5% of RME biodiesel to all diesel fuel (except for the winter period);

Compulsory Oil Stocks
Full service purchased from Latvian and EU companies with annual announcement of an open
tender.
The total volume of storage are corresponding to at least the average daily net imports to 90 days.
The stocks are using the real products.
“Tickets” are not allowed.

Grey zone in fuels
Amount of fuel with unpaid taxes expected additional 10-20% of market!
- Open border with Russia and Belarus;
- Tax fraud schemes from EU countries;
- Ports, bunkering.
