Strategic Structure

มนเปนวธการวเคราะหประโยคในภาษาองกฤษ

โครงสรางประโยคในภาษาองกฤษจะมอยทงหมด 5 แบบใหญๆเทานน ดงน

1 S + V ใชเมอ V. เปน VI ไมตองมกรรม

เชน I’m crying.

2 S + V + O ใชเมอ V. เปน VT มกรรม

เชน Hermione raped Harry.

3 S + V + O + O ใชเมอ V. เปน VT มกรรม 2 ตว คอ กรรมตรง และกรรมรอง ให

ทองวา “ตรงของ รองคน ถาคนอยหนาของ งนรองอยหนาตรง” โดยทวไป กรรมตรง คอ

สงของ และ กรรมรอง คอ คน และมกวางกรรมกรรมรองไวกอนกรรมตรง

เชน I gave him this car. (กรรมตรง คอ him กรรมรอง คอ car)

4 S + V + C ใชตามหลง V. ทเปน LV ไดแก feel, sound, taste, smell,

become, turn, get, grow, keep, go, come, look, appear, stay, remain,

seem, v.to be

เชน She looks terrific and she smells sweet.

5 S + V + O + C ใชตามหลง V. กลมพเศษ โดยจะตามดวยทง O แลวคอยตามดวย C

ไดแก find, think, have, get, make, render, like, set, let, leave, keep,

want, consider, regard, open, paint, name, call, appoint, prove,

v.of perception ( see, hear, smell, notice, observe, watch)

เชน These guys like her best.

การใช Strategic Structure

1 หา Verb แทของประโยค

-V.แทจะผนตาม Voice และ Tense

-V.แทจะตามหลง HV

-Non-Finite V. ไดแก Ving, V3, Vinf และ toINF ทอยโดดๆ ไมนบเปน V. แท

ของประโยค

2 หา Subject & Object สงทเปน S และ O ได คอ Noun, Pronoun, Noun

clause, Gerund(Ving), Question word + to INF

*Complement ไมนบเปน Object เพราะมนไมไดโดนท า

3 ตด Modifier (สวนขยาย) ไดแก

-Prepositional Phrasal

-Adjective Clause (Relative Clause)

*Complement ไมใช Modifier เพราะมนตดทงไมได

Verb Tree

Verb โดยทวไป สามารถแบงตามหนาทไดเปน 2 ประเภทใหญๆ คอ

1 Finite V. เปนกรยาแทในประโยค ผนตาม voice และ tense ซงจะมการผนรปตาม

ประธาน

2 Non-Finite V. เปนกรยาไมแทในประโยค มเอาไวขยายสวนอน

ชนดของ Verb แบงออกเปน 3 ชนด คอ

1 VT (Transitive Verb) = สกรรมกรยา (กรยาทตองการกรรม) ใชกบรปประโยค S +

V + O หรอ S + V + O + O

เชน I hate anything that flaps.

2 VI (Intransitive Verb) = อกรรมกรยา (กรยาทไมตองการกรรม) ใชกบรปประโยค

S + V

เชน She was crying in the classroom.

3 LV (Linking Verb) = คอกรยาทใชแทน v.to be ได สงทตามหลง LV จะไมใชกรรม

(O) แตเปน Complement (สวนเตมเตม) เปนรปประโยค S + V + C

เชน It tastes really good.

*บางครง V ตวหนงเปนไดทง 3 ชนด ตองดตามแตประโยคทมนอย ^^”

Special V. มนม V. กลมพเศษกลมหนง ทเปน Special V. คอ

1 เมออยในรป V. แท จะแปลวา “ท าให”

เชน This book interests me.

2 เมออยในรป V.to be + Ving จะแปลวา “นา”

เชน This book is interesting.

3 เมออยในรป V.to be + V3 จะแปลวา “รสก”

เชน I am interested in this book.

V. กลมน ไดแก annoy/disturb, frustrate, scare, exhaust/tire,

bore, terrify, convince, frighten/thrill/horrify, confuse/puzzle,

embarrass, disappoint, fascinate, amaze/astonish, entertain, excite,

surprise, charm, please/satisfy, irritate, interest, amuse, perplex,

worry, shock

โดยทวไปมอย 6 form แลวเอาไปประสมกน

1 Present V1

2 Past V2

3 Future will/shall + Vinf

4 Continuous v.to be + Ving

5 Perfect v.to have + V3

Present Simple Tense [ S. + V1 ]

1 General time พดถงเหตการณทถาวร หรอ สงทเกดขนเปนประจ า ซ าซาก หรอ

ตลอดเวลา

ใชกบ Adv. of time ตอไปน always, usually, often, once/twice a … ,

…times a …, never, hardly ever, hardly, barely, scarcely, rarely,

seldom, sometimes, at times, from time to time, occasionally, on

occasions, on and off, now and then, now and again, once in a

while, once in a blue moon

เชน Water boils at 100 degree Celsius.

2 Series of events พดถงเหตการณทตอเนอง

-พดถงเหตการณทเสรจแลว หรอทก าลงเกดขน ขณะทพด หรอเขยน (การสาธต,

การพากยกฬาเรว)

เชน Murphy passes to Owen. Owen to Beckham, Beckham back to Owen… and

Owen shoots- and it’s a goal.

-ค าแนะน า/ค าสง

เชน You go to that crossroad and turn left.

-พดถงเรองราวตางๆ (story) ปนการบรรยายและสรป ของละคร และเรองตางๆ

แบบไมเปนทางการ

เชน In Act 1, Hamlet meets the ghost of his father.

3 Future ใน Subordinate Clause (cl. with connector) ใชกบประโยคยอย ซง

จะหามเปน future เดดขาด

เชน I will call you when I arrive there

4 Simple V. มนจะม V. บางตวทใชใน continuous ไมได ตองใชในรป simple

เทานน ไดแก กรยาทเกยวกบการนกคด (idea) และกรยาทเกยวกบการชอบและไมชอบ

(like)

กรยากลมน ไดแก know, understand, believe, suppose, agree,

disagree, realize, notice, recognize, forget, remember, recall, like,

dislike, love, hate, detest, prefer, forgive, trust, wish, want, desire,

own, deserve, consist of, hear, think

เชน I love you.

*บางครง V. ในกลมน ใชในความหมายอน กไมจ าเปนวาตองเปน simple เสมอไป

เชน think ถาพดถงความคดเหน จะเปน simple แตถาพดถงการคดพจารณา อาจจะเปน

simple หรอ continuous กได

5 ใชกบประกาศอยางเปนทางการ

เชน Ladies and gentleman, I name this ship HMS Highlight.

Present Continuous Tense [ is/am/are + Ving ]

1 Around now พดถงเหตการณท เกดขนในขณะน

ใชกบ Adv. of time ตอไปน now, at the moment, at present

เชน We are reading books at the moment.

2 Describe change พดถง process ของการเปลยนแปลง (อาจะมขนกวามาบอก)

แมวาจะโคตรนานกตาม

เชน It is getting better and better.

3 Future ใชกบอนาคตอนใกล ท already decided เทานน

เชน I am going to cinema tonight.

4 Background

-ใชเลา background ของเรอง ทเกดขนไปแลวตอนตนเรอง หรอ ด าเนนตอไปใน

เรอง

เชน Jack is walking through the jungle when he meets the lion.

-commentaries หรอ การพากยกฬาชา

เชน Oxford is drawing slightly ahead of Cambridge now. It is rowing with a

beautiful rhythm. Cambridge is looking a little disorganized.

5 ใชหลงประโยคทมเครองหมายตกใจ

เชน Look! They are playing a concert.

Listen! Harry is quarrelling with Snape.

Present Perfect Tense [ has/have + V3 ]

ใชกบเหตการณทเกดในอดต ตอเนอง หรอสงผล มาจนถงปจจบน

1 เพงจะจบ พดถงเหตการณทเพงจะจบไป

เชน I have just found my lost wallet.

2 ยงไมจบ เหตการณทตอเนองจากอดต ถงปจจบน

เชน I have never liked you.

3 ประสบการณ ใชพดถงประสบการณตางๆ

เชน She has been to England.

4 ใชกบ Adv. of time ตอไปน just, yet, already, lately, recently, never,

ever, once, twice, three times, many times, over and over, again

and again, over and over again, so far, up to now, until now, up to

present, until the present, since, for

* never = ไมเคย (ใชในประโยคปฏเสธ)

ever = เคย (ใชในประโยคค าถามเทานน)

ถาจะใชประโยคบอกเลา วา “เคย” ใหใชเปน used to + Vinf = เคย

** since = ตงแต + จดของเวลา

for = เปนเวลา + ชวงเวลา

5 ใชแทน past simple ทไมระบเวลา เปนกรณทเกดขนในอดต แตวา ไมไดระบ

เวลาแนชด เชน I have been to that store.

Present Perfect Continuous Tense

[ has/have + been + Ving ]

ใชเหมอน present perfect ทวไปทกประการ แตวา

1 เนนความตอเนองของการกระท า

2 เนนวาอาจจะท าตอไปอก

เชน It has been raining. จะเนนวา มนไดตกตลอดเลยนะ แลวยงไมหยด มากกวา It has rained.

Past Simple Tense [ V2 ]

ใชกบเหตการณทเกดแลว และ จบไปแลวในอดต

* used to + Vinf = V2 = เคย

be / get + used to + Ving = ชน

Past Continuous Tense [ was/were + Ving ]

1 ใชโดด แปลวา “ก าลงท าในอดต” มกมตวบอกเวลาแนนอน (specific past)

เชน I was chatting with Air 9 p.m. last night.

2 ใชโดด กบ “เหตการณซ าซาก” ในอดต ซงกรณนความหมายจะไมตางกบ past

simple มาก

เชน I was learning everyday last year.

3 ใชคกนเอง (past continuous-past continuous) ใชกบ 2 เหตการณทยาวและ

เกดขนพรอมกน

เชน I was doing my homework, as she was playing games.

4 ใชคกบ past simple (past simple-past continuous) ใชกบเหตการณทเกดขน

และด าเนนอย แลวมเหตการณมาแทรก ในกรณน

-past continuous = เหตการณทด าเนนอย

-past simple = เหตการณทมาแทรก

เชน I was watching the TV while you called me.

Past Perfect Tense [ had + V3 ]

1 ใชคกบ past simple (past simple-past perfect) ใชกบเหตการณทเกดขนใน

อดต โดยเหตการณหนงเกดกอนอกเหตการณหนง ในกรณน

-past perfect = เหตการณทเกดกอน

-past simple = เหตการณทเกดทหลง

เชน After Sylar had raped Claire, he killed her.

2 ใชในกรณ more past ของเหตการณในอดต ในกฏตางๆ เชน Indirect, If, Wish

ฯลฯ

เชน She said that she had been there.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense [ had + been + Ving ]

ใชคกบ past simple เหมอน past perfect ธรรมดา แตตางกนตรงท ใชพดถง

เหตการณทชวคราวกวา (ถาเปนเหตการณทถาวร หรอวามระยะเวลานาน จะใช past

perfect ธรรมดามากกวา) และเนนในความตอเนองของเหตการณ

เชน After Sylar had been raping Claire, he killed her.

Future Simple Tense [ will/shall + Vinf]

ใชพดถงอนาคตทตดสนใจในขณะทพด

เชน I will buy this book for you.

> Shall I/we ใชในการถามการตดสนใจ/ขอค าแนะน า/เสนอแนะบรการ/แนะน า

เชน Shall we dance?

> Will ใชในการ สง/ขมข/สญญา

เชน I will hit you if you do that again.

รปอนๆของการพดถง Future

1 V.to be + to INF ใชกรณทเปนทางการ

2 is/am/are + going to + Vinf ใชในกรณทเปนการตดสนใจแลว เปนการตงใจ หรอ

อยนอกเหนอการควบคมของคณ

เชน It is going to snow.

3 is/am/are + Ving ใชกรณททเปนการตดสนใจแลว เปนการนดหมาย

เชน I am seeing P’Nan tomorrow.

Future Continuous Tense [ will/shall + be + Ving ]

1 Plan ใชกบแผนการทตดสนใจแลว หรอสงทจะเกดขน = กรณ present continuous

แตเปนทางการมากกวา

เชน Professor Dicey will be giving another lecture next week.

2 Process ใชบอกวา อะไรก าลงอยในกระบวนการ (เกดขนในเวลาทแนนอนในอนาคต)

เชน I will be studying at this time tomorrow.

3 Predict ใชท านายวาสงทเราคดหรอเราเดา อาจจะก าลงเกดขนในขณะน

เชน Don’t phone now – they’ll be having dinner now.

4 Polite enquiries ใชถามแผนการของคน โดยสภาพโคตรๆ

เชน Will you be staying in this evening? – แคอยากร

Are you going to stay in this evening? – คอนขางทางการ+กดดนค าตอบ

Will you stay in this evening, please? – เชงค าสง

Future Perfect Tense [ will/shall + have + V3 ]

บอกวาเหตการณหนงจะสนสดลงเรยบรอยแลวในอนาคต มกมเวลาบอกไวชดเจนวา

เมอเวลานนมนสนสดแลว

*ขอความใน time cl ทบอกเวลา จะตองเปน present simple หรอ present

perfect เทานน จะใช future ไมได

เชน He will have save much by the time he has retired.

Future Perfect Continuous Tense

[ will/shall + have + been + Ving]

ใชเหมอน future perfect ธรรมดา แตแบบนจะเนนตอเนองหรอ อาจจะท าตอ

ตางจาก future perfect ธรรมดาทเนนครบ

เชน I will have been teaching for 5 years this summer.

Passive

ปกตประโยคโดยทวไป (active voice) ประธาน จะเปนคนกระท ากรยา แกกรรม

แตวา ประโยค passive voice จะเปนประโยคทประธาน “ถก” กระท า

Active > S + V +O ( S กระท า V กบ O )

Passive > S + V ( S ถกกระท า V )

หลกในการเปลยน active เปน passive

1 เอากรรมของ active ขนมาเปนประธาน

2 เปลยนรป V เปน V.to be + V3 ตาม tense ของประโยคเดม

เชน Harry raped Draco. > Draco was raped by Harry.

*V. บางตว ไมสามารถเปลยนรปได

- Intransitive v. (VI) ในเมอมนไมมกรรม แลวจะหากรรมทไหนมาเปน

ประธานในประโยค passive

เชน Harry arrived at the station.

- Stative V. เปนกรยาทบอกสถานะ (states) ไมใชการกระท า

(actions)

เชน They have a nice house.

3 by/prep.ตวอน + ประธานของ active

-by + agent (คนทกระท า หรอ ท าใหเกดสงทเกดขน)

เชน All the trouble was caused by your mother.

-with + instrument (สงทถกใชโดย agent)

เชน He was shot with a rifle.

-V.ประหลาด ใช prep. ตวอน (เปนส านวน)

เชน I’m frightened of my exam score.

เรองนาปวดหวของ passive

1 เมอ v. นนม 2 กรรม ( ตามโครงสราง S + V + O + O )

ทอง “ตรงของ รองคน ถาคนอยหนาของ งนรองอยหนาตรง”

ใหเอากรรมทขนกอน มาเปนประธานของประโยค

- S + V + IO(คน) + DO(ของ) กเปลยนเปน IO + V + DO (by S)

เชน She gave him a pen. > He was given a pen (by her).

- S + V + DO(ของ) + to + IO(คน) กเปลยนเปน DO + V + to + IO (by S)

เชน She gave a pen to him. > A pen was given to him (by her).

2 กรรมของประโยคเปนวล ซงวลพวกนไมสามารถเปนประธานได

จะใชเปนรป It was + v3 + that ………

เชน He believed that he loved her.

>It was believed that he loved her.

3 Infinitive without to ( Vinf ) มนจะมกฏนาปวดหวบางประการ ทบอกไววา V.

บางตว สามารถตามดวย Vinf ไดใน active แตพอเปน passive จะตองตามดวย

to INF ซง V.เหลานไดแก V.of perception ( see, hear, smell, notice,

observe, watch), help, make

เชน I saw him come out of that room.

> He was seen to come out of that room.

They made him confess everything.

> He was made to confess everything.

4 There เราจะใช

There + is/are/was/were + V3 + to INF

= It is + V3 + that there + is/are/was/were…….

เชน There are thought to be more that 3,000 languages.

= It is thought that there are more than 3,000 languages.

There was said to be disagreement between Joy and me.

= It is said that there was disagreement between Joy and me.

Helping Verb

Helping V. คอกรยาชวยทน าไปชวยตวอนเพอสราง voice, tense, mood ซง

ไดแก V.to be, V.to do, V.to have และ Modal v.

Modals

Modal v. หรอ auxiliary v. เปนกรยากลมพเศษ ทมกฏการใชตางจากรยาปกต

ทวไป

*Modal v. + Vinf เสมอ

1 Must กบ Have to

-แปลวา “ตอง” เหมอนกน

-ตางกนใน BrE ตรงทวา

must ใชกบสงทมาจากความรสก ความตองการจากภายใน

have (got) to ใชกบสงทมาจากความรสก ความตองการภายนอก

เชน I must stop smoking. (อยากเลกเอง)

I have got to stop smoking. (หมอสง)

* must not = หาม

don’t have to = ไมจ าเปนตอง

เชน You don’t have to come if you don’t want to.

You must not leave this room.

2 Ought to กบ Should

-แปลคลายกนมากๆ คอ “นาจะ” สามารถใชแทนกนได เมอแปลวา “นาจะ”

เชน She ought to understand.

She should understand

-ในกรณตอไปน ไมสามารถใช ought to ได

> ในภาษาเขยน “should” สามารถใชแสดง strong obligation (ความ

จ าเปน) แบบสภาพ

เชน Guests should vacate their rooms by 10am.

> “should” มกจะใชกบ v.เกยวกบการนกคด เพอเสนอความคดเหน

เชน I should think this model would sell quite well.

3 Can กบ Could

-ใชพดเกยวกบความสามารถและความเปนไปได (ability, possibility) รวมถง

ขออนญาต และเสนอ (make a request/offer)

เชน Can you speak Japanese? (ability)

It could rain this afternoon. (possibility)

Could I speak to Mark, please? (request)

Can I help you? (offer)

I couldn’t agree more.

-ใชกบ V.of perception ทง 2 ค านนมความหมายเปน continuous tenses

เชน I can see her walking this way.

Suddenly she realized; she could smell something burning.

*ส าหรบการใช can กบ could ในการหมายถง “ความสามารถ” จะไมม tense

อน ถาจ าเปนตองใช จะ ใชเปน “be able to + Vinf / manage to +Vinf”

เชน You will be able to walk soon.

**ส าหรบค าวา could จะใชกบ general ability (ความสามารถทวๆไป ซง

สามารถท าไดเมอไหรกตามทตองการ) ไมใช one occasion ซงจะใช “was/were

able to, managed, succeeded” แทน ยกเวนในกรณใชกบ V.of perception

และการใชในประโยคความหมายปฏเสธ

เชน She could speak Chinese. (general ability)

I managed to find a really nice top in the sale. (ไมใช I could find…)

She could hardly believe her ears. (one occasion แตมความหมายปฏเสธ)

4 May กบ Might

-may อาจใชในประโยคทขดแยงกน คลายๆกบค าวา “although”

เชน You may be the boss, but that is no excuse for doing that.

-may/might + as well = ...กได (ไมกระตอรอรน)

เชน Nobody else is going to turn up now, so you may as well go home.

-may/might บอกความเปนไปได (possibility) หรอความไมแนนอน

(uncertainty) ในความหมายของ present tense

*may มความเปนไปไดมากกวา might

เชน The peace conference may find a solution to the problem.

-มส านวนทใช may/might กบ try ถาเอามาใชแบบน may จะพดถง present

และ might จะพดถง past

*Try as I may/might = No matter how hard I try/tried

เชน Try as I might, I failed the exam.

5 Shall

-Shall I/we ใชส าหรบการ ask for decisions, instructions (ถามการ

ตดสนใจ, ค าแนะน า), offer services (เสนอการใหบรการ), make suggestion

(แนะน า)

*will จะไมใชในกรณน

เชน Shall we go out for a meal?

-shall ใชไดกบทกประธาน ทตองการเนนวา “ผพดมนใจวาสงนนจะเกดขนแน”

เชน He shall win.

-shall ใชในกฏตางๆได

เชน No player shall move the ball of another.

6 will

-ใชใน future ปกต

เชน I will play this game with you.

-ใชตงสมมตฐาน

เชน The phone is ringing. That’ll be for me.

7 would

-ใชพดถงนสยทนาร าคาญ

เชน Tim would get lost, wouldn’t he? It’s typical.

-ใชใน if clause และ กรณ more past อนๆ

เชน If I were you, I would not go there.

-ใชในประโยคแสดงความแนนอน (ใชเปน if)

เชน Life wouldn’t be worth living without you. (if you weren’t there)

Nobody would agree with that idea. (if you asked them)

-ใชกบค าวา doubtful (นาสงสย), unlikely (ไมนาเปนไปได)

เชน It’s unlikely that he would rape her.

I doubt whether Helen would know the answer.

8 need กบ dare

need/dare เปน V.ชวย แตวาใชแคในประโยคค าถาม และปฏเสธเทานน

เชน Need you make so much noise?

I needn’t go there.

Dare you come and join us?

*need to/dare to เปน v. ธรรมดาทวไป

เชน Do you need to make so much noise?

I don’t need to go there.

**ปกตจะไมใช daren’t ยกเวนในความหมายวา “คนไมกลาท าบางอยาง”

Past modal

เมอเราใช modal v. สวนมากจะพดถง present แตเรากสามารถเอามนมาใชใน

ความหมายทเปน past ไดดวย โดยสวนมากมรปเปน Modal v. + have + V3

1 had to เปน Past ของ must, have to ใชพดถง Past Obligation

เชน Sorry I’m late; I had to drive my mom to her office.

2 must have + V3

พดถง past certainty = “มนตองเปนอยางนนแนๆ ในอดต”

เชน Someone must have taken it.

3 should have + V3 / ought to have + V3

ในประโยค indirect speech นน should เฉยๆสามารถพดถง past ได

เชน I knew that I should write to Jane, but it seemed to difficult.

แต should เฉยๆ มกไมเอามาใชใน past ปกต จะใช was supposed to แทน

เชน She was supposed to be at home but she wasn’t.

ดงนนกเลยใช should have + V3 พดถง past regret = “นาจะเปน/ท า แตก

ไมไดเปน/ท า”

เชน I should have phoned her this morning, but I forgot.

You shouldn’t have shouted like that.

4 could have + v3

พดถง past ability = “ท าได แตไมไดลองท า”

เชน She could have married anybody she wanted to.

*could not have + V3 = ไมสามารถท าได แมจะพยายามแลว

เชน I couldn’t have enjoyed myself more. It was a perfect day.

ใชใน if clause

5 may/might have + V3

พดถง past possibility (บอกความเปนไปไดวาบางสงบางอยางอาจจะเกดขนใน

อดต
