贾思勰是我国北魏末期（公元六世纪）杰出的农业科学家。他是山东益都人，曾经做过高阳郡（今山东临淄）太守 , 大约在公元５３３ - ５４４年间 , 他写成了著名的农业科学著作《齐民要术》。

《齐民要术》全书共 92 篇，分成 10 卷，共 11 万多字 . 它比较系统地总结了黄河中下游地区北魏和北魏以前农业生产技术的成就，初步建立了农业科学体系，是一部有很高科学价值的 " 农业百科全书 " ，也是我国乃至世界上保存下来的最早的一部农业科学著作。
