Traction Elevators• Used for high risers• Reaches speeds up to 2,000 ft/min (10 m/s) or more
Hydraulic Elevators• Use an underground cylinder• Quite common for low level buildings with 2-5 floors
(sometimes 10 floors)• Reach speeds up to 200 ft/min (1 m/s)
Climbing Elevators• Slow and small• For personal use• Reaches speeds up to 50 ft/min
