同学们，除了纸本和电子书阅读，观看一部好电影也能够让学生从中感悟人生，汲取正能量。今天，图书馆就给同学们介绍几部经典好电影，走吧！

Students, in addition to reading paper and e-books, watching a good movie can also enable students to perceive life and learn positive energy. Today, the library will introduce some classic movies to the students, let's go!

《放牛班的春天》《Les Choristes》(2004)

• A musician who has given up on fame takes a job as supervisor at a school for hard cases, and when he teaches the boys how to sing, they mellow out and begin to love him dearly. Fond d'Etang, the name of the school run with iron fist by the stern Rachin (Francois Berleand), translates as "Rock Bottom,” but round-faced Clement (Gerard Jugnot) holds on to his good cheer. His cuddly exterior betrays a warm intelligence--apparently he knows that he is in the kind of movie where a little art will certainly tame the teenage beasts, and so he sorts the boys by their voices and starts a choir. All the necessary types are present in the classroom: the cute small kid, the brazen thieves and hormone-addled thugs, and of course the surprisingly talented teacher's pet (Jean-Baptiste Maunier), from whose mgc perspective the story is told. In the opening scene, we learn that he ends up in New York City as one of the "greatest conductors in the world“.

《跳出我天地》《Billy Elliot》(2000)• In 1984, Billy Elliot, an 11-year-old from the

fictional Everington in County Durham, England, loves to dance and has hopes of becoming a professional ballet dancer. Billy lives with his widowed father, Jackie, and older brother, Tony, both coal miners out on strike (the latter being the union bully), and also his maternal grandmother, who has Alzheimer's disease and once aspired to be a professional dancer.Billy's father sends him to the gym to learn boxing, but Billy dislikes the sport. He happens to see a ballet class that is using the gym while their usual basement studio is temporarily being used as a soup kitchen for the striking miners. Unknown to Jackie, Billy joins the ballet class. When Jackie discovers this, he forbids Billy to take any more ballet. But, passionate about dancing, Billy secretly continues lessons with the help of his dance teacher, Sandra Wilkinson……

《奇迹男孩》《Wonder》(2017)• Wonder (also known as Wonder: Auggie) is a 2017

American drama film directed by Stephen Chbosky and written by Jack Thorne, Steven Conrad, and Chbosky. It is based on the 2012 novel of the same name by R. J. Palacio.

• August "Auggie" Pullman is a 10-year-old boy living in a brownstone in Brooklyn, New York, with his mother Isabel, father Nate, older sister Olivia ("Via"), and dog Daisy. He was born with a rare medical facial deformity, which he refers to as "mandibulofacial dysostosis", and has undergone 27 different surgeries in order to see, smell, speak and hear without a hearing aid. Auggie has been home-schooled, but as he approaches fifth grade, his parents decide to enroll him in Beecher Prep, a private middle school. Before the school year begins, Auggie meets with Mr. Tushman, the principal, who arranges a tour for him with three other students: Jack Will, Julian Albans, and Charlotte Cody. When school starts, Auggie is initially ostracized by nearly the entire student body, but soon forms a close friendship with Jack……

《侧耳倾听》（日文名：耳をすませば）(1995)

• 根据柊葵的同名漫画改编，由多次在宫崎骏作品中出任作画监督的近藤喜文担任导演。该片讲述了一个发生在1994年的故事，作画的背景大部分来自东京附近的多摩市中心。男女主角互相勉励互相学习，为各自的理想而奋斗，叙述了少男少女间清纯真挚感人的恋爱故事，表达出作者对生活的态度和积极进取的精神。

《当幸福来敲门》《The Pursuit of Happiness》(2006)

• The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American biographical drama film.

• In 1981, San Francisco salesman Chris Gardner invests his entire life savings in portable bone density scanners, which he demonstrates to doctors and pitches as a handy quantum leap over standard X-rays. The scanners play a vital role in his life. While he is able to sell most of them, the time lag between the sales and his growing financial demands enrage his already alienated wife Linda, who works as a hotel maid. The financial instability increasingly erodes their marriage, in spite of them caring for Christopher Jr., their soon-to-be five-year-old son……

《风雨哈佛路》（Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story）2003

• Liz Murray, one of two daughters of an extremely dysfunctional Bronx family. Her father watches Jeopardy! and knows all the answers. Their bathtub doesn't drain so she has to shower while standing on an overturned bucket, to stay out of the fetid water. As a young girl, Murray lives with her sister, their drug-addicted, schizophrenic mother and their father, also a drug addict who is intelligent, but has AIDS, lacks social skills, and is not conscientious. She is removed from the home and put into the care system as her father cannot take care of her. At 15 she moves in with her mother, sister and grandfather who sexually abused her mother and her aunt. After a run-in with her grandfather, she runs away with a girl from school who is being abused at home. After her mother Jean Murray dies of AIDS, which she got from sharing needles during her drug abuse, she gets a 'slap in the face' by her mother's death and begins her work to finish high school, which she amazingly completed in two years, rather than the usual four. She becomes a star student and earns a scholarship to Harvard University through an essay contest sponsored by The New York Times.
