A FEW PRAISE POINTS OF TRANSIT!!!!!!! God Always does “immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine” So I’m sure that this is barely scratching the surface of his work.

The Church that we got to help out with in Belfast, Northern Ireland has tripled in size. 25 new believers came from 3 conversions!

Chris from Scotland was baptized. After the team left, the church asked if they could have a long term team working alongside them. It just so turned out that a young couple wanting to do mission work were moving to the same exact town this church was at. God had provided these workers before the church even knew that it needed missionaries and before the missionaries even knew they were going to do mission work.

20 gypsy children experienced the love and reality of Christ and accepted him as their savior

5 People received salvation and accepted Christ as their Lord after distribution in France.

3 of my teammates were healed from inhalable diseases & Cancer through the blood of Jesus and faith in his promises. Ely healed from chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, Sarah healed from Cancerous lumps, and Jeremy healed from Gluten allergies that made his lungs swell up.

7 Men gave their lives to the Lord and experienced the power of the freedom of Christ at a Drug Rehab in Porto, Portugal.

The spirit moved in Monsoon Portugal and Ten 16-18 year old teenagers were saved.

The churches in Moldova were truly biblical. Everyday believers would work alongside their church in its attempt at feeding and supporting its community. Moldova is the poorest country in all of Europe, for some people the only meal they got was the food brought to them by the church; some believers would forfeit time of working for their own food and their own families to work so that they could feed and support the non-believers in their community. It took us hours to drive to the different houses and different villages to deliver food to the community. The pastor and his wife whom we were staying with somehow did this job each day on foot. If it took us hours to drive, I can’t imagine how long it would take to walk that journey with big bags of food, food that was from their own table.

Next we worked in Belfast, Northern Ireland assisting with a Presbyterian Church Plant. Throughout history this has been one of the most dis-unified and segregated nations in the world. Politics have become intertwined with religion and this has caused so much turmoil and persecution.

After we gathered crowds with the drama’s I got to share a message

with the people. The drama’s intrinsically carried their own message, but

to top things off we found it beneficial to share an application too.

Every day over 20 of us went out to serve

and evangelize the community working on

a church plant in Lisle-sur-la-Sorgue,

The moment this realization struck me, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. As I looked up, I saw

the jackpot, a room filled completely to the brim with hundreds of mailboxes. I went up to the door, hoping that it was a

speaker phone so that I could try to persuade them into opening the door by mumbling French phrases, however

sadly it was the type of door that requires one to enter a digital security code. I knew God wanted these people to hear

the gospel and that he would get me in there, so I started pressing random numbers expecting the door to open.

Sadly, it didn’t. I was discouraged for a moment, and then I prayed and said “God, open this doo, I know you can do

it.” The moment I had completed that sentence the mailman walked up beside me, scanned the security panel,

opened the door, and walked in. Faith is a wonderful thing, and God can use it to do anything. What are you having

faith for? Does it Glorify God?

As I gauged the gate in preparation of jumping it, before I made any moves, I looked around

cautiously only to see a High-Tec security camera pointed directly at me. After a while of standing

there awkwardly I finally decided to go for it. I started scrambling up this 12- 15 ft. tall fence when

suddenly the pastor that we had been working with popped up on the other side. By this time I was

trying to squeeze through the tiny gap between the top of the fence and the ceiling. When I’d finally

clambered down, I was bummed out. I didn’t think my day could have gotten much worse, but it

definitely had. Little did I know that in a few minutes I was about to get yelled and chased out of a

building by an angry security guard. After this happened I started to complain inside, however after I

few sentences it struck me that I shouldn’t be complaining because this opportunity was a blessing, it

was the opportunity to identify with Christ in a new way, and feel and relate to him on a level I had

never been able to before.

After much rejection and bad luck, as I was trudging through the cold

rain I finally saw a gate that was opening. This meant that I would be able to

get into the apartments and distribute literature to the mail boxes. I quickly ran

through and evaded the closing gate. After searching the area I realized that

I was in a completely closed off parking garage, and that I was locked in!

The only thing I could do was to sit and wait for the car that had left earlier to

come back, or to climb over the massive gate.

After singing carols in one of the elderly homes we were given the

opportunity to talk with the residents. I was able to talk with a lady named Rose who

I believe is in her 90’s and has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for many years,

although I didn’t know it at the time. As I continued to talk to her all I could think was

“wow, I’ve never met a more easygoing individual.” Ha-ha It’s because every time I

asked a question or said a sentence she would say “I don’t know, Yea” “I don’t

know, YEA” “I don’t know, yea” It took me almost ten minutes of continuous talking

to her before I realized that she really didn’t know. At this point one of the workers

had come up to me and told me “Rose has Alzheimer’s and can’t remember

anything at all.” Regardless though I could tell that it still meant a lot to her to have

someone put so much effort into talking and spending time with her.

However by that time I had ran out of ideas for conversation, so I asked her if I could

read the bible to her, we read nearly the entire book of first John together before the

team and I took off. I didn’t think I would get the chance to see her again, but the

next week we ended up in that same exact elderly home. . To my surprise Rose

looked at me and said “I remember you!” It was the first time she had remembered

anything at all, for who knows how long. And she remembered it because of the

word of God and because of the healing power in his beautiful Word.

Even Alzheimer’s can’t make someone forget our God

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”(John 15:1-4) God prunes those of us who bear fruit. Pruning is a word that we can easily look past, but it’s an act of such great fortitude that it will forever leave an impact. When looking at these newly pruned olive trees, I was astonished to see that many of their biggest and most important limbs had been cut straight off. It would be like our arms and legs being chopped entirely off, leaving us with just a head, chest and stomach. The crazy thing is that God says that this act is for our good. When our father prunes us we must not be discouraged, but instead we can now understand what James means when he says “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.” For those trials come and those prunings come with the sole purpose of making us grow in manifold ways. From each limb cut off of the trees 2-6 more had grown back in its place. God plans to do the same with you, but it will not be easy.

God disciplines us for our good that we may share in his holiness

The things I learned

We stayed in Spain with a couple who have been living and serving here for over 40 years. We had the opportunity to cut down and chop up many trees for both our hosts and their neighbors, as well as Clean the chicken pen, create innovative foods I attempt at being resourceful and utilizing fruits that would otherwise get wasted and thrown away by the Spaniards each year, we did evangelism and made very thought provoking surveys in attempt at forming relationships with locals, We also got to assist David and Sharon in harvesting their olive tree orchard and ended up plucking and gathering 880 pounds of olives!
