Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. Established in 1953 in Hamburg, Germany, the company has developed into a service provider with manufacturing operations as well as an intralogistics solution provider. Jungheinrich offers its customers a com-prehensive range of forklift trucks, shelving systems, services and consulting. These services include the short-term hire and

sales financing of products, maintenance and repair as well as used equipment reconditioning and sales—all rounded off by our mail-order business. Today Jungheinrich employs some 10,000 staff members in 31 countries, just under half of them located in Germany. The German production plants at Norderstedt and Lüneburg (both near Hamburg) as well as Moosburg (near Munich) and Landsberg (near Halle) are complemented by a plant in Qingpu, Shanghai (China).

Innovative and envi-ronmentally-friendly production facilities stand for the highest

level of production efficiency. Our production locations are designed to be independent “Centres of Excellence”, and are located in Norderstedt and Lüneburg (both near Hamburg), as well as Moosburg (near Munich) and Landsberg (near Halle). The addition of a plant in Qingpu, Shanghai (China) has allowed us to expand our production for the Asian market.

As an internationally active enterprise, we recognised and tack led fundamental issues like energy efficiency and environ-mental protection at an early stage. Today ecological thinking and acting is a firm component of our corporate philosophy and runs like a red thread through all our production and service divisions. Environmental compatibility is already built into the development phase of our trucks, laying the ground-

work for subsequent recycling of components. In our manu-facturing operations and after-sales service, our internal ecological requirements are often more stringent than the law requires.
