The Reserve Officers Training Corps at Northeast is designed to enable college students to prepare themselves for leadership in military service. This organization, under the leadership of competent U. S. Army personnel, offers young men greater opportunities for adjustment and to have confidence in themselves and their fellow Americans. Completion of a four-year COurse in the R.O.T.C makes the graduate eligible for a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve.

vs ... Stephen F, Austin Lumberjacks , . , As heavy underdogs, our squad upset all predictions when they held the gian Lumberjacks to a close 15-6 win, The Tribe's gang tackling seemed to be the cbief factor in their determined, although losin~ effort. [n the first period it looked bad for our sCJuad as a high pass from center was culminated into a safety for W . Leos smashed over for the first goal on a IO-yard jaunt over the right tackle. Led by the cool-headed quarterbacking of Reynolds, the run ning of Powell, Leos, Wade and Franklin, the Northeast team
ground out three touchdowns by the end of the third quarter, and at the final whistle the Indians were in possession of the
ball only inches from another SCOre. The Preachers' final score arne in the third quarter to climax a 7s-yard sustained drive

That's an expression you'll hear often among members of Louisiana Power & Light Company. And we're mighty proud, too, for we've worked hard to earn that reputation.
Our group life insurance, hospitalization, sick leave, and retirement program rank with the best in the nation, and you'll find our members' earnings compare very favorably. But there's something more, too--a friendly spirit of cooperation among our members in making a good company even
better.
