This place was a house and office of the Gyeongsang governor in the Joseon Dynasty. It has been changed into a park so many Daegu citizens walk around and rest here. There is a changing of the guard ceremony, which takes place on Saturdays from 1:30pm to 4pm in May, June,September, and October (until the 17th).

Donghwasa Temple

This museum will tell you an old story of Daegu. Built in 1932 as Joseon Siksan Bank’s Daegu branch, the museum building itself is also a cultural asset and witness to Daegu’s modern history. Step into a room that used to be a vault and peep at how Daegu people lived through interesting pictures and items from the past.

08.Daegu had a fortress around downtown, which was called Daegu Eupseong, and Bukseongro was to the north of it. Now, there is Bukseongro Tool Street with lots of tool shops. Lately, this area has changed to host projects to attract tourists. Visit a tourists’ café, an arts shop which sells local artists’ works, and the Tool Museum. Try some woodong and bulgogi in the evening. You can feel like you are a local.
