r Injection Control Valve: Service and Repair

r Switching Valve (For Bank 2)MOVAL

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE:- Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

- After the ignition switch is turned OFF, the navigation system requires approximately 90 seconds to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the ignition switch OFF, wait 90 seconds or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

a. Remove the 5 clips and fender apron seal.

DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

a. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the water bypass pipe.

NOTE: Do not disconnect the hoses.

If it is necessary to disconnect the hoses, first drain the engine coolant.

DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSEa. Disconnect the air injection system hose from the air switching valve.

REMOVE NO. 2 AIR TUBE




a. Disconnect the air pump connector. b. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.

c. Remove the 4 nuts, No. 2 air tube and 2 gaskets.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the installation surface of the gaskets.

REMOVE AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the 3 nuts and air switching valve.

NOTE: Do not hold the bracket of the air switching valve.

TALLATION

INSTALL AIR SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

a. Install the air switching valve with the 3 nuts.

Torque: 16 N.m (163 kgf. cm, 12 ft.lbf)




NOTE: Do not hold the bracket of the air switching valve.

INSTALL NO. 2 AIR TUBE

a. Temporarily install a new gasket and the No. 2 air tube to the exhaust manifold side with the 2 nuts. b. Install a new gasket and the No. 2 air tube to the air switching valve side with the 2 nuts.


c. Tighten the 2 nuts on the exhaust manifold side.


d. Connect the air pump connector.e. Connect the wire harness clamp.

INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

a. Connect the air injection system hose to the air switching valve.

CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

a. Connect the water by-pass pipe with the 2 bolts.





INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH

a. Install the fender apron seal with the 5 clips.

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: Some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected
