1. Please note there are some changes in the program.2. Attendees please gather for taking the bus at 8:45AM on 10/17. 3. Attendees please gather for transportation to NUU at 8:30AM on 10/18-20.4. Attendees please gather for transportation to Taipei at 9:00AM on 10/21.5. There is no WiFi service in the first day. (Perhaps limited service in the hotel) WiFi is available on NUU
campus. We have prepared a temporary account for each attendee.6. Except for the first day evening and the fourth day evening, we will provide simple Taiwanese lunch
boxes for each meal. Hotels will provide free breakfast. There are instant noodles and cookies available to those who work overtime and thus feel hungry.
7. The NUUID building, where the workshop is held, is still under renovation; so it looks simple. The discussion rooms for each group are scattered in the building. Please see the floor maps for the locations.
8. We have assigned an assistant for each room for taking care of your needs. Recognize your assistant.

Description In the first day, the attendees are expected to understand the historic background and be able to draw some characters of the craft art through experiencing the art and
interacting with the craft persons. Through reflection, interaction and sharing, the attendees identify some essential elements of the art for latter ideation. It is also expected that the members of each group start to know each other and plan respective job assignments.

to understand the characters of the rush grass weaving art to be able to associate personal cultural/social background with the art and then
to create some ideas to be able to share personal feelings or ideas to other people

Description
In the second day, 3-5 innovative product concepts related to the art are expected to be generated by each group. To do so, each group is suggested to hold a series of ideation sessions, subsequently developing ideas that are never seen before. Sketches and rough models are expected to be made for expressing and experimenting the ideas. The subjects for design are flexible.

to complete the process of ideation to be able to present ideas by sketches or rough models to define the form for delivering the concepts to list the materials needed

* We will lend each group a laptop equipped with major CAD applications, such as Pro-E, Alias, Rhino, Photoshop, etc. The computer classroom will be open for the attendees. However, we still encourage attendees to bring their own laptops. There are a variety of materials prepared for the attendees to build models. However, due to our budget limit, we may not be able to provide all materials the attendees want.
