The close cooperation and collaboration are established with many scientific groups and top-ranking Universities of all over the world.

Alumni of Tbilisi State University are invited at leading universities and scientific centers in order to conduct the joint investigations as well as to deliver lectures.

Research projects at TSU are financed by National science and various international funds like NATO SfP program, CRDF, ISTC, INTAS, SNF, EC Frame Programs, GTZ, FZJ and etc.

TSU – Brief Overview

The TSU researchers publish over 800 scientific publications annually (among them in high-rating scientific journals);

more than 200 scientific projects are carried out; annually approximately 50-60 doctoral theses are defended.

Many research projects are being carried out at TSU and the university closely collaborates with world leading universities and scientific centers.

It is noteworthy the participation of physicists of the TSU High Energy Institute of Physics in ATLAS project carried out at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN, Geneva).

There is a long term successful scientific cooperation (a first agreement signed in 1998) between the physicists from the Research Center Jülich (FZJ, Germany) and TSU in the field of fundamental

phenomena of understanding the structure of matter and forces as well as the principles that link the smallest particles in the universe to the largest structures of the cosmos.

Jülich and Georgian partner institutions intend to extend and expand this mutual scientific cooperation in various fields of Basic Science

The ongoing experiments with our joint participation at COSY accelerator will provide answers to the central questions of current research, such as explaining how does the nature make hadrons.Regarding the long-term future, the international FAIR facility, to be built on the GSI campus at Darmstadt, will open unique opportunities for the field. 6

TSU Research PortalTbilisi State University Research Portal (TSURP) is created with the aim of

improvement of research visibility and accessibility to softwares and different open codes for scientific calculations. Expected that scientific community as well as

companies are main beneficiaries of TSURP since familiarization with the research activity provides new opportunities for national and international collaboration

TSURP goal is TSURP goal is to…to…be an information channel and a tool for TSU researchers and R&D institutions

be a register of TSU Faculties, R&D institutions, researchers and research activity

be a gateway to TSU science landscape

be a place where users and visitors can read news and chat about TSU research

be a place to get fast and adequate TSU R&D statistics
