What is RDA

• RDA: Resource Description and Access• RDAはAACR2に取って変わる新しい目録規則

– AACR2: Anglo‐American Cataloguing Rules, 2 edtion（英米目録規則第2版）

• RDAの全体的な目的は：資料発見の支援のためのデータ標準化のガイドラインおよび規則 “a set of guidelines and instructions on formulating data to support resource discovery”(0.0)

AACR2とここが違う！

1. FRBRとFRADという理論的なフレームワークに基づいている

2. ディジタル環境のためにデザインされている

3. AACR2より広い範囲を対象としている→図書館だけじゃない、英語圏だけじゃない（ただし、AACR2と強くリンクもしている）

– （FRAD）大規模な典拠データを使う人（＋作る人）

– FRBRやFRADのAttributeに対応するelement– FRBRやFRADのRelationshipに対応するelement

• Relationshipそのものではなく、結果としてRelationshipを表現しうる値というのがミソ

– chapter はsectionを超えて通し番号に
