前言Forward

　　近年来，具有功能特性的纳米材料由于独特的尺寸效应和广泛的应用前景得到了化学家、物理学家和材料化学家的广泛关注。插层化学是将客体分子组装到具有特定形状的其他分子或者官能团主体的化学，其对应的插层结构功能材料是基于超分子化学原理，通过对材料主客体结构设计以及二者丰富的可调变性来实现其性能和功能强化，并以此为平台构建具有新型的先进功能材料，本研讨会将围绕近年来插层化学、功能纳米材料以及催化化学的最新动态展开，论坛形式包括学术报告和学术研讨等，论坛汇集了来自英国牛津大学，美国加州大学洛杉矶分校，华盛顿大学，西北大学，南加州大学，法国克莱蒙费朗大学等当今世界的一流科学家。

Recently, the functional nanomaterials have been paid much attention due to their excellent physical and chemical properties. Intercalation chemistry is the inclusion of a guest molecule (or group) between two other molecules (or groups). The Intercalation materials have also provided a good opportunity to construct functional materials with desirable properties based on supramolecular chemistry. The symposium will center around the recent developments in the fields of intercalation chemistry, functional nanomaterials and catalytic chemistry. The forum will be conducted in form of academic reports and discussions and gather the leading scientists from Oxford University, University of California, University of Washington, Northwest University, University of South California, and University of Blaise Pascal.

Intercalation Chemistry

　插层化学是将客体分子组装到具有特定形状的其他分子或者官能团主体的化学，其对应的插层结构功能材料是基于超分子化学原理，通过对材料主客体结构设计以及二者丰富的可调变性来实现其性能和功能强化，并以此为平台构建具有新型的先进功能材料。

Intercalation chemistry is the inclusion of a guest molecule (or group) between two other molecules (or groups). The Intercalation materials have also provided a good opportunity to construct functional materials with desirable properties based on supramolecular chemistry.

Functional Nanomaterials

　近年来，具有功能特性的纳米材料由于独特的尺寸效应和广泛的应用前景得到了化学家、物理学家和材料化学家的广泛关注。其中一些新的物理和化学性质被发现并被深入研究。

Due to the advanced characterization and properties, nanomaterials have been central to multiple disciplines, including materials science, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Nanomaterials with desirable physical and chemical properties have been extensively investigated, which display various kinds of functionality in areas such as electronic structure and optical/electric effects.

催化化学

Catalytic chemistry

　催化是利用催化剂改变化学反应速度的一种过程。近年来，催化剂和催化材料应用于国民经济的各个领域，同时也是解决能源和资源危机的重要途径。本次会议的主题将重点围绕多相和均相催化、催化新材料以及催化相关的产业和学术问题展开讨论。

Catalysis is the increase in rate of a chemical reaction due to the participation of a catalyst. In this conference, the topic will cover the work on homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, new catalyst materials as well as related industrial and fundamental problems
