    Listed below are the various sizes of ads for the Sherman Publicationweeklies. Our intent is to make the ad decision-making process more userfriendlyby taking some of the usual mystery and confusion out of the adplanning and purchasing decision.

    The advertising options for the SPI Publications are presented in what called a modular formatallowing for 19 standard or most commonly usedsizes of advertising.

    To make the decision even less complicated, we have assigned a letter

    NEW ACCOUNT INTRODUCTORY RATE:A special 6-week rate for accounts new to the ShermanPublications is available on any modular size. The New Account Introductory Rate can be usedonly once by any account. To calculate the New Account Introductory Rate, take 20 percent offthe 17-week rate corresponding to the desired ad size to arrive at per ad cost. New AccountIntroductory Rate is only available on a cash with copy basis, due to the short nature of thecontract commitment.

    ADVERTISING / BILLING TERMSThe following constitutes the publishing terms of the Sherman PublicationInc (SPI Group).

    GeneralThe rate quoted is for advertising space. Additional charges are made forcolor.

    Advertising layout, type or syndicated art, made available by the newspapfor published space at no charge to the advertiser, remain the property of

    the Sherman Publications group.Responsibility for errorsAny errors made by the advertiser, advertiser's employees or advertiser'srepresentatives are advertiser's sole responsibility. If a publication error bthe newspaper should occur, the newspaper's responsibility is limited to acancellation of the charge for, or a re-run in the following issue of thatportion of the advertisement in error; failure to publish an advertisementdoes not extend the liability of the newspaper to include any added damagOn the subsequent publication of an advertisement originally in error, if thaerror had not been called to the attention of the newspaper prior to thedeadline of the second publication, any liability as stated herein is limited tthe first incorrect publication only. If a pre-publication proof of an advertisment is provided to the advertiser, the newspaper's sole responsibility forerrors is limited to any corrections to the proof authorized by the advertis

    Payments, credit, default on paymentCharge accounts can be established. Full credit information form, availablefrom newspaper, must be submitted. It may take up to 15 working days tclear credit application, and until approved, account must submit cash witcopy. MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted as payment.

    In case of default on payments due, should collection procedures or litigatbecome necessary, all collection costs and/or legal costs are the responsiity of the party in default and will be assessed accordingly.

    Payment terms are net 10 days following invoice. A monthly statement wbe issued showing any new balance from the prior month. There is nofinance change if the new balance is paid in full by due date indicated on

    statement. If not so paid, finance charges will be levied. Partial paymentswill be first applied to the oldest charges. Prevailing finance charge rateindicated on monthly statement. Minimum monthly billing charge of twodollars.

    In cases of a contract agreement, if termination of the agreement is necessary for non-payment of an overdue account, advertiser agrees that alladvertising published through that date will be subject to the billing rateearned as of the cancellation date, based on the rate schedule identified othe contract.

    Should a sales tax on advertising be levied, advertiser agrees to be responsible for the sales tax in addition to the advertising rates.

    Commission payable to recognized advertising agencies on open rate spac

    charges only. Agencies will be billed for any preparation charges. Paymentreceived over thirty (30) days, no agency commission allowed. Advertiserare held responsible for advertising space charges and associated productfees in the event an advertiser's agency defaults on payment due theSherman Publications weeklies.

    Rate revisions, changes in agreementOn signed contract agreements, if a rate revision is necessary during theterm of the agreement, no less than a 30-day notice will be given.

    A contract agreement or any other terms do not override the publisher'sright to refuse advertising for any reason. Only publication of an advertisement indicates publisher's acceptance of advertising.

    The Publisher reserves the right to refuse any ador preprinted insert.

    Rates are non-commissionable, but are availableto all, including agencies. For commissionable andnational rates, mark up applicable rates 20 percent.

    Rates may be raised with 30 days notice. Display advertising is sold by modular units.

    POSITION CHARGES Guaranteed positions add 30% to earned rate.

    Exact specifications, sizes and formats availableon requests. All preferred placement paid positionssubject to confirmation and availability at deadline.

    COPY All display advertisements must carry a signature

    of the party inserting the ad. The Publisherreserves the right to insert the wordadvertisement in all ads, including all copyads which may be mistaken for news articles.

    All ads smaller than full page must be borderedto their exact dimension.

    A minimum of a one-point border is required onall ads.

    All layouts, illustrations and composition whichrepresent the creative effort of ShermanPublications, Inc. are the sole property of thePublisher and may not be reproduced without priorconsent.

    Advertisers assume all liability for true, factual

    and legal copy provided in any advertisement. Late ads accepted at Publishers option. No proofs

    shown.

    REVISIONS Publisher reserves the right to charge standard

    composition charges for any revisions to originalcopy, layout, artwork, photos, or other adelements unless newspaper failed to follow clearand explicit instructions.

    Advertisements produced but cancelled beforedeadline will be charged composition charges at$40 per hour.

    Advertisements produced but cancelled afterdeadline will be charged one-half the applicablerate.

    POLITICAL Political and advocacy advertising require payment

    in advance and must state the name and addressof the group or individual paying for the ad.

    Political advertisers signing volume contractsrequires payment in advance for the full contractamount upon the signing of the contract.

    PAYMENT Payment in advance is required for new

    businesses. Contact Sherman Publications formore information.

    Statements are mailed at the beginning of eachmonth. Invoices are printed upon ad placement.Terms: Net 10 days.

    Service charge will be added to account with anoverdue balance.

    Minimum $.75 charge.

    TEARSHEETS Up to 2 tearsheets are available at no charge at

    customers request.
