2015 Fulbright Junior Internship Program for Middle and High School Students As summer approaches we are busy at Fulbright preparing for ETA Orientation and our Camp Fulbright program, which we have renamed, the "Fulbright English Immersion Program." Each year, as many of you know, we send a small group of U.S. students to Korea to join a cohort of Korean students as junior leaders during the summer program. The Fulbright Junior Internship Program (FJIP) applications are starting to come in, but there are still a few weeks to let students know about the program. Information can be found at www.fulbrightep.kr/cfjip. 2015 Fulbright Junior Internship Program (FJIP) Program Period: Wednesday, July 22, 2015 Wednesday, August 12, 2015 (three weeks) Location: Jungwon University, Goesan, South Korea Eligible Students: U.S. students in the 8 th through 10 th grade; 11 th graders may apply, but they must first submit a letter to the director Number of participants to be accepted: Participants numbers will be dependent on Korean student numbers, but generally 1012 students are selected, including returnees Application Deadline: May 15, 2015 (applications must be received by 5:30 p.m. Korea Standard Time on the application deadline) Transportation: Travel to and from Korea shall be incurred by the student, the student’s school, or sponsoring institution (club, organization, etc.); travel within Korea will be provided by the Fulbright. Room and Board: Participants will be provided with room and board for the duration of the program Other: Fulbright will provide accident insurance for participants during their stay in Korea. Through past alumni efforts, we have been able to reach out to students from diverse backgrounds; already our FJIP alumni are in top schools around the world, and many have returned to Korea multiple times through Fulbright and other opportunities!
