Note: 2015 membership dues for the year are collected during the end of the previous year, so our 2016 dues collected in November and December 2015 will bring our revenue more in line with expenses.

Men’s Representative’s Report (Bob Richman)

�  Continuing to monitor court usage and adjusting blocked times

�  Continuing to review skills levels for each group

�  A 4.0 men’s meeting will be scheduled to determine appropriate format schedule for weekly drop-in sessions

Tennis Instruction Committee (Skip Pavitt)

�  Will resume weekly tennis clinics w/some changes

�  Signups for clinics will be by skill level (2.5/3.0 or 3.5/4.0)

�  Maximum six (6) persons per clinic (sign up at Adobe bulletin board)

�  Will use 2 or 3 USPTA certified instructors for each clinic

�  Skill level groups will stay together and move to each instructor for different skills instruction

�  Clinics will be Tuesdays 4:00 to 5:30

�  Cost will be $15 for 90 minutes of instruction

�  We have 453 Grand Tennis Club members

�  Our club is run by volunteers from its membership

�  We need members to volunteer for: �  Board positions �  Tournament helpers �  Social event organizers and helpers

�  Each year less than 30 members (7%) volunteer for our events

�  Help the Club be a better club for everyone, Volunteer!

�  Forms are available in the back to sign up for volunteering

Women’s Representative Job Description (Donna Gropp)

1)  Shall be responsible for meeting with coordinators on a regular basis to determine changes to tennis court shcedules.

2)  Shall be responsible for Women’s membership liaison to the Board for player’s concerns.

3)  Shall be responsible for arranging social functions with coordinators.

4)  Shall be responsible for communicating with Captains of West Valley League and to block out time for West Valley League play.

5)  Shall be responsible for coordinating seasonal Drop-In schedule.

6)  Shall be responsible for liaison with Women’s Ratings.

7)  Shall be responsible for the January meeting of the Ladies Tennis membership.

8)  Shall be responsible for attending all Board and General Membership meetings and disseminating info to the Women’s membership.

Secretary Job Description (Donna Gropp)

1)  Shall keep the Club records.

2)  Shall issue notices of all SCG Grand Tennis Club Executive Board and General Membership meetings.

3)  Shall minutes of all meetings.

4)  Shall conduct all correspondence relating to the club’s business.

5)  Shall furnish all whatever reports to the Association or other persons or organization as may be required.

Social Chairperson Job Description (Donna Gropp)

1)  Shall be responsible for coordinating all GTC Grand Tennis Club social events

2)  Includes coordinating assignment of special committees to work on specific events

3)  Includes scheduling room reservations for all social events

4)  Includes working with special event committees to provide them with all necessary resources for the event

5)  Shall give event status report outs at GTC Board and General Membership meetings for all upcoming social events

Lifestyle Advisory Committee Board Appointed Position (Skip Pavitt)

�  The Sun City Grand Executive Board is forming an Ad Hoc committee to review and recommend the Lifestyle activities in SCG

�  There will six (6) people on this committee

�  Submittal forms are available at the Membership Office or by going online to the SCG website

�  The deadline receiving applications for this committee is tomorrow, October 9th, by 4:00 pm

�  It is extremely important that the Grand Tennis Club have a representative on this committee
