Dear Parents/Guardians
Primary 3 Parent-Teacher-Child (PTC) Conference on 28 May 2015
As part of the schools efforts to enhance home-school partnership, Primary 3 PTC Conference will be held on
Thursday, 28 May 2015 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year, we are piloting PTC Conference for the Primary 3 level. The
process of conferencing is changed from a teacher-directed, end-of-term event to a collaborative process among
parent, teacher and child, designed to promote and support self-directed learning. This collaborative process aims to
provide a holistic development of your child by allowing him/her take ownership of his/her learning, and develop
his/her confidence and desire to learn. You are invited to attend the PTC Conference together with your child. The
day is specially set aside for you and your child to meet up with your childs teachers on a ONE-TO-ONE basis, and
discuss his/her learning progress in school.
2. On that day, your childs Form and Co-Form Teachers will also be returning his/her holistic report card and
Pupil Portfolio file. At this time, the teachers, parent(s) and child will meet together to talk about the learning that has
taken place during the semester. The conference will take about 10 minutes and your child will share with you his/her
areas of strengths and developments that he/she would like to work on in the next semester. At the PTC Conference,
the teachers and/or parent(s) may also suggest ways on how the child may be supported in meeting his/her learning
goals at home and at school.
3. Kindly complete the reply slip below to indicate your attendance at the PTC Conference on Page 2. You
are still required to make bookings for time slots to meet your childs Form/Co-Form Teachers and Mother Tongue
Language Teachers online via the schools learning management portal, AsknLearn (http://lms.asknlearn.com/ynps).
You may also scan the QR code on Page 4 to access the website. Parents/guardians may book their preferred time
slots by accessing the website from 4 May 2015 to 21 May 2015.
4. Also attached to this letter is a list indicating the locations of your childs teachers during the PTC
Conference. There is also a step-by-step guide to assist you in the online booking process. You may refer to the list
and book a slot with your childs Form Teacher and/or Mother Tongue Teacher. It is not necessary to make a
separate booking with the Co-Form or Subject Teacher who is in the same classroom as the Form Teacher
(see attached list).
5. For parents/guardians who do not have access to computing devices and / or the internet, you may obtain a
hard copy booking form from your childs Form Teacher. Please submit the booking form to his/her Form Teacher by
21 May 2015.
6. We would appreciate that you could make provisions to attend the session, together with your child, at your
preferred time. Please note that your child has to be in his/her school uniform on that day. If you have any queries,
please contact your childs Form Teacher at Tel: 6449-0121.

Parents Guide: MPS 2 Booking (via desktop site) 1. Type in the following URL in your internet browser to go to the Schools LMS Parent Portal:

2. Key in your childs NRIC/FIN as the User ID. Password for first time login is parents.** ** If you have trouble logging in, you may contact the LMS Helpdesk at [email protected] or 6777 9661
3. Go to TOOLS > CONSULTATION BOOKING

4. You will be directed to the date of the PTM which is set by the school. After which, you are
to
(A) Select the category & teacher
(B) Select a timeslot
(C) Click on SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT button to make appointment
(D) Click on this check box if you are not making any appointment *If you are meeting more than one teacher, the booking will have to be made one at a time

7. To delete your scheduled appointment (in order to change to schedule for another one),
