Outdoors Volunteer Opportunities Informational Session May 16 from 10:00-‐11:00am at the Rey Center Be a Water Watcher Volunteer and conduct water quality monitoring in Waterville Valley. This program is great for ages 14 to adult. New volunteers are welcome to join the program at any time. Program begins May 20 and runs every other Wednesday through August 26. Training Sessions: May 13 & May 27. Welch Ledge Stewards educate hikers about the sub-‐alpine plant communities that live there and the ongoing efforts to protect them. They also direct hikers safely among the outcrop plant communities and ensure directional and educational signs are in place. Program begins June 6 and runs Saturdays through September 5. Training Sessions: May 9 & May 23. Sponsored by: U.S. Forest Service, NH Space Grant Consortium, Robin Aronson, and Wayne & Barbara Thornbrough.
John Anderson: Images of the White Mountain National Forest In The Rey Center Gallery May 9 through July 28 Images taken by Campton NH photographer, John Anderson during his tenure as 2013 WMNF Artist in Residence reflect the peace and life hidden in the forest. Using traditional media and equipment as well as infrared techniques, he shows what many of us may not see. No charge to attend, donations welcome.
