Aliaxis acquires the business assets

of Zezt Pty Ltd in Australia

Brussels, 16 March 2016 Aliaxis announces that is has signed a final agreement – after the clearance of the relevant authorities - to acquire the pipe business assets of Zezt Pty Ltd in Tasmania (Australia). Zezt manufactures and sells polyethylene pipe for the use of fluid and gas transfer, ventilation and telecommunication purposes. Zezt will be integrated within Vinidex, the Australian manufacturer and supplier of thermoplastic pipe that was acquired by Aliaxis in 2014.

The acquisition of the pipe business of Zezt is a further step in the development of Vinidex’ capability to provide its Australian customers with the widest coverage of products and services throughout the whole country. With the support of the Aliaxis teams, Zezt will continue to provide excellent quality products and services for its Tasmanian customers.

Zezt was founded in 1997 as a provider of different kinds of services to the Tasmanian mining industry. Almost ten years later, the company expanded into the manufacture of polyethylene pipe, used for transferring gas, water, aquaculture and agriculture, civil and mining industries. Their range of PE products today ranges from 13 mm up to 1200 mm diameter. The company has its head office in Wynyard (Tasmania, Australia) and employs around 90 people.
