However, most initiatives are still in alpha or beta stage. Enterprises are still deciding how to navigate this technology, but the lack of proven use cases and the volatility of bitcoin have created concerns about the viability of the technology.

Long-term, Gartner believes this technology will lead to a reformation of whole industries.

Permissioned-public ledgers have access controls owned/managed by rules, but still allow for a community. For commercial transactions, companies might look to permissionless-public ledgers such as bitcoin, which allows unknown or untrusted users to access the ledger.

投資金額的投入開始減緩。2016 似乎是高峰。

跟去年同期比較的話，是減少的。

可以看出 VC Funding 投向 的性質有變

美國、英國正在引領創新。值得注意新加坡與瑞士！而仍有 ⅓ 的新創案子是分布在其他國家裡。其中，新加坡與瑞士，跟台灣類似，都是國土小的國家。

確實有相當比例的風險投資資金流向 ICO - Initial Coin Offering 的管道去。後續的發展值得觀察。但是，ICO 的本質為何？仍有待釐清！是籌資？是行銷/Pre-sales ？還是其他？

除了傳統上 Venture Captial 風險投資，對於新科技 Start up 公司，如 Blockchain ，的投入之外

既有企業，對於引入這一個新科技（以取代舊有）的傾向，又是如何呢？

觀察既有企業，尤其是有資源的大企業，對於新興科技的引入與採納的視角，可以幫助預測新科技的

「橋頭堡」是否建立？後續的發展動能是否確立？下一步是證明其所承諾的價值！跨越 Chasm.

整體看，企業 2017 年的投入比起去年（2016）要更慎重。換言之，新科技還有待證明他的「實用價值」。

金融產業的大企業，參與的熱度最高。值得注意的是日本、中國的少數巨型企業很積極。

有資源的大企業，在進行創新的道路上1.) 透過 Corp. Venture 資金，投資於新興科技，例如 Blockchain，的新創公司; 或是，2.) 透過加入新興科技，Blockchain，的新創公司的研發專案，進行實驗計劃，累積相關的知識、技術與人才; 或是，3.) 跟其他的廠商（可能彼此是同業、異業）聯合起來，建立聯盟或是所謂生態圈，共同促進所支持的新興科技的推廣，與潛在市場的開發。

從巨觀的角度看，是新興科技的「生態系統」建立（本身是個過程）從微觀的角度看，是「各取所需」、「分攤風險」

密切注意這些巨頭（大金剛、大白鯨）是如何 Shaping 未來的！

Blockchain 的實作型態可以有不同

中本聰當年的論文，用 Blockchain 平台，所建議的加密電子貨幣（比特幣）系統，是個 Public Distributed P2P 網路的實作。用牛刀去殺機、用飛彈去打蚊子，拿著搥子到處找釘子，都是

頭腦不清楚的愚行。Blockchain 可以有不同應用與實作。

同樣基於Blockchain 的技術構想，乙太坊提出了另一套的實作型態：乙太幣，以及實作開發的平台、規格（所謂 Smart Contract）。於是，可以在乙太坊的區塊鏈平台上，開發不同應用，解決不同實務需求與問題。於是，「解放封印」，大擴散開始。
