    Abstract: This article discusses the importance of building analytical and critical thinking in the Russian language among foreign students prior to professional development programs. The causes of addressing to these methods, as well as examples of tasks are being justified. We prove that analytical and critical thinking needs to be developed when learning a foreign language as a distinctive element of cognitive reflection.

    Abstract: In the teaching of Russian as a foreign language, it is traditionally believed that instruction in phraseological units should begin at an advanced stage, when the student has a sufficient level of skills for mastering the most complex layer of vocabulary.     Abstract: this article discusses the issue related to the training of the written speech of students at the preparatory faculty. According to the authors, keeping a diary helps students to learn how to express their thoughts quickly and correctly in written form, learn better the grammatical and lexical material obtained in the lesson, suitable for students with different levels of Russian language proficiency.
