Abstract: This article discusses the importance of building analytical and critical thinking in the Russian language among foreign students prior to professional development programs. The causes of addressing to these methods, as well as examples of tasks are being justified. We prove that analytical and critical thinking needs to be developed when learning a foreign language as a distinctive element of cognitive reflection.

Abstract: The article presents the overview of the principles of development of a computer workbook aimed to train for the Vocabulary and grammar TRFL-TEL/A1 subtest. The possibility of more closely coordinating the training of foreign citizens in the Russian as a foreign language at the preparatory faculties of Russian universities with the system of the TRFL state certification is considered. The computer workbook that implements the principle of consistent succession of education at different levels is proposed to be the basis of this approach.

Abstract: The article discusses issues related to the problems of development of scientific style of speech for foreign students at the stage of pre-University training, provides solutions to these problems. Special attention is paid to the role of developing listening skills when learning a language specialty as a way to achieve the main goal of studying at the preparatory faculty.
