The Alumni Service Award was first set up in 1996 to recognise alumni who have rendered outstanding service and contributed in furthering the interests of the University, and its alumni. Most of the previous winners played pivotal roles in their alumni community.

The Nanyang Alumni Awards were launched in 2005, for the all-round recognition of alumni in various fields who have brought honour to NTU. Nominations are accepted for four award categories – the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award, the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award, the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

These Awards are presented to alumni who have attained exemplary achievements in their field of specialisation nationally, regionally or internationally, or have contributed significantly to the betterment of the University, the community or the society.

ABOUT THE NANYANG ALUMNI AWARDS关于南洋校友奖

校友服务奖首创于1996年, 以表扬为南洋理工大学（以下简称为“南大”）的发展和校友活动作出杰出贡献的校友。过去荣膺此奖项的校友，大多是南大各校友会的中流砥柱。

南洋校友奖首次创立于2005年，全面表扬在各领域为南大带来荣誉的校友。南洋校友奖共有四个奖项类别, 即：南洋卓越校友奖、南洋校友成就奖、南洋杰出青年校友奖，以及南洋校友服务奖。

这些获奖者包括在各专业领域取得顶尖成就、享誉本国、本区域或国际社会的校友，或是曾对促进大学、社区或社会发展作出重大贡献的校友。

ABOUT THE TROPHY关于奖座

The ‘Nanyang’ element of life

The Nanyang Alumni Awards trophies are cast in solid crystal to embody the purity and integrity of NTU graduates.

The designs of the trophies incorporate water, the most nurturing and regenerative element of nature. Symbolising ‘Nanyang’, which literally means South Ocean or South Sea, the water theme is conveyed through a stylised Oriental wave motif. This representation of Nanyang uses the element of water to express perfection in nature.

The wave patterns are featured at the bottom of all four awards. Two of the awards, the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award and the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award, also incorporate a spherical pattern over the waves.

Circles and spheres are used in many cultures to express perfection. The circle on these two Awards represents a water drop with zero gravity – a water sphere that transforms and recreates.

Of the four award trophies, the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award stands the tallest.

The designs for these new trophies were inspired by the original design concept from Professor Isaac Kerlow, former Dean of NTU’s School of Art, Design and Media..

润物细无声的 “南洋”元素

南洋校友奖奖座用实心水晶制作，体现了南大毕业生高贵纯洁的品行。

奖座的设计融合了自然界中最为润物的“水”元素。通过风格化的东方波浪图案，“水”象征了“南洋”；而“南洋”也凭借完美的“水”元素而得以体现。

四个奖座的下端都刻有波浪图案。其中的两个奖座，即南洋卓越校友奖奖座和南洋校友成就奖奖座，也在浪花图案之上呈现了圆形图案。

许多不同的文化均经常使用圆圈和球形图案表达完美或圆满。这两个奖座上端的圆圈，代表着没有地心引力、高空悬挂的水滴 – 这便是具有不断转化与再生功能的水域。

在四个奖座之中，南洋卓越校友奖的高度最高。

这些新奖座的设计灵感，来自前南洋理工大学艺术、设计与媒体学院院长伊萨克劳（Isaac Kerlow）教授的原设计构思。

Criteria:

Have distinguished themselves on a national, regional or international basis in their chosen fields, such as in one, or more of the following: Academia, Arts, Business, Culture, Education, Health, Industry, Professions, Public or Community Service (including non-profit organisations and government), Recreation, Science，Sports, Technology, etc.

Graduates of the Nanyang Technological University or the National Institute of Education, or their predecessor institutions (Nanyang University, Nanyang Technological Institute, Teachers' Training College and the Institute of Education) are eligible for this award.

The highest honour bestowed upon the alumni of the University, to recognise the truly remarkable accomplishments of alumni who have gained national, regional or international distinction as outstanding exponents of their chosen fields or professions, and whose endeavours reflect admirably on, or bring honour to the University.

Have made outstanding voluntary contributions to the University and/or been involved in activities substantially benefiting the University and /or have shown significant commitments to the advancement of the University.

To recognise alumni under age 40, whose endeavours in their chosen fields or professions are worthy of recognition and have brought honour to the University.

在颁奖年度的12月31日之前须未满40岁。

在所从事的一个或多个领域里，如学术、艺术、商业、文化、教育、卫生、工业、专业、公共服务或社区服务（包括非牟利组织与政府机构）、娱乐、科学、体育、技术等领域里，奋发图强并获得广泛认可，从而为大学带来荣誉的校友。

南洋理工大学或国立教育学院的毕业生，都有资格角逐此奖项。

Have rendered dedicated voluntary contributions to the University through alumni clubs/associations, schools, and other University activities that are substantially beneficial to the institution for at least three years.

Passionate, Lifelong Educator Sustaining Brunei’s Future Success in Education

NANYANG DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD南洋卓越校友奖

For his immeasurable contributions to the field of education in Brunei, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present the Honourable Pehin Dato Abu Bakar Apong with the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award.

Agency, Deputy Chairman II of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation, and Deputy Chairman I of Board of Trustees of Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Trust Fund for Orphans. As part of the Board of Trustees at the University of Oxford’s Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, Pehin Dato Abu Bakar’s legacy as an educator extends to the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. He is also on the International Advisory Council of The Markfield Institute of Higher Education, United Kingdom.

Pehin Dato Abu Bakar has had a multifaceted career, holding key appointments in areas ranging from healthcare to communications, and finance. Amongst other roles, he has been Brunei’s Minister of Health, and Minister of Communications, as well as Chairman of the Islamic Bank of Brunei.

But first and foremost as an educator, Pehin Dato Abu Bakar has contributed to the continued development of the Brunei education landscape in his myriad roles including the Department of Education’s Head of Planning, Research and Guidance in Brunei; Director of Education in Brunei; Vice Chancellor of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD); and Permanent Secretary (Professional), Ministry of Education, Brunei.

As Minister of Education, Pehin Dato Abu Bakar has emphasised that teachers today must adopt innovative teaching methods to help their students acquire vital 21st century skills rooted in innovative thinking, deep comprehension and superior communication. He seeks to help build an innovative nation and ensure Brunei’s continued success by instilling in the young a passion for learning through education in-line with Brunei’s national philosophy, the Malay Islamic Monarchy. During his tenure, Pehin Dato Abu Bakar Apong introduced significant initiatives to further enhance quality education, which included the transformation of Brunei technical education; the formation of Brunei Teacher’s Academy; and the introduction of Brunei’s Teacher Standard, and Brunei Darussalam School Leadership Standard. Recognising the importance of technology in education, he introduced a whole-school development approach by integrating ICT in teaching and learning.

He has succeeded in expanding access to technical education through its transformation in Brunei. Maritime education in Brunei Darussalam has been further enhanced by the successful collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic with the launch of the Brunei Maritime Academy that offers competency-based qualifications training.

At the higher education sector, UBD leapt an impressive 57 places to rank 118 in the 2015 Quacquarelli Symonds Asian University Rankings.

In the international arena, Pehin Dato Abu Bakar has served as the 46th President of the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organisation Council (SEAMEO Council), which aims to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture. Under his tenure, he has contributed significantly in facilitating and promoting quality education especially in areas of English education through teachers’ mobility especially in developing countries in the region.

Pehin Dato Abu Bakar graduated from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and later attained a Master of Arts from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. He has been honoured by several institutes of higher education – he has an Honorary Doctorate from Soka University, Japan, an Honorary Doctorate in Education from the University of Malaya, an Honorary Doctor of Letters from UBD, and an Honorary Doctorate in Education from the Open University Malaysia. Pehin Dato Abu Bakar Apong has also been awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship, Singapore.

A passionate educator who started out in 1972 as a teacher (Education Officer), Pehin Dato Abu Bakar’s career came full circle in 2010 when he was appointed Minister of Education, Brunei Darussalam. He is concurrently Chairman of the Brunei Investment

尊敬的佩欣拿督阿布巴卡.阿彭对文莱教育发展居功至伟，南洋理工大学很荣幸能颁予南洋卓越校友奖，给这位毕生奉献的教育家。

热心教育的佩欣拿督阿布巴卡于1972年执起教鞭，后来转入其他行业，直至2010年重投教育界，出任文莱教育部长。他目前兼任文莱投资局主席、文莱苏丹波基亚基金会第二副主席、王储穆赫塔迪.比拉孤儿信托基金董事会第一副主席。作为牛津大学伊斯兰研究中心董事会成员，佩欣拿督阿布巴卡的教育贡献由此延伸至对伊斯兰教和伊斯兰世界的学术研究。他也是英国马克菲尔德高等教育学院国际咨询理事会成员。

佩欣拿督阿布巴卡的事业横跨多领域，他曾于金融、通讯、医药保健等领域担任要职，例如出任文莱卫生部长、通讯部长以及文莱伊斯兰银行主席。

佩欣拿督阿布巴卡改革和拓展文莱的技术教育，让更多文莱学子受益。为加强海事教育，文莱与新加坡理工学院合作，创立文莱海事学院，提供能力本位资质培训。

高等教育方面，文莱达鲁萨兰大学在QS国际教育市场咨询公司2015年度年亚洲大学排行榜中跃升57位，飚至排名第118，表现令人激赏。

Champion for Local Businesses, Entrepreneurship, Sports and Youth in Singapore

For achieving success in the political arena in a short space of time and for his invaluable contributions to the areas of sports and youth in Singapore, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Teo Ser Luck with the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award.

Mr Teo has spent nearly a decade serving his constituents as a Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris – Punggol Group Representation Constituency (GRC), having first been elected into the position in 2006 and then winning the re-election in 2011. He was initially given the portfolio of Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, before being promoted in 2008 to the position of Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports & Ministry of Transport. Today, he is Minister of State in the Ministry of Manpower, and Mayor of the North East District, having been the Minister of State for Ministry of Trade and Industry(MTI). As Minister of State for MTI, Mr Teo oversees small and medium enterprises, consumer protection, entrepreneurship and trade relations with the region, including China. Mr Teo spoke of his dream of a Singapore Silicon Valley as a keynote speaker at the Startup Asia Singapore 2014 event. An avid sportsman who has participated in triathlons and marathons, Mr Teo was one of the driving forces behind Singapore’s successful hosting of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010. After helping Singapore fend off Moscow in its fruitful YOG bid, he went on to provide invaluable input as Advisor to the Organising Committee and Mayor of the Youth Olympic Village. Mr Teo is passionate about working with youths and has chaired the National Youth Council. He also worked with the National Youth Achievement Award Council in 2013 to launch the inaugural National Youth Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which provided some 200 youths with an opportunity to hear from young executives on their personal CSR experiences. He is equally active with youths on the political front, having served as the Chairman of Young PAP – the youth wing of the ruling People’s Action Party (PAP) – from 2008 to 2013. Prior to entering politics, Mr Teo was General Manager at DHL Express (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Aside from holding regional management positions in multinational corporations, his distinguished private sector career also saw him win company-wide business awards as a Regional Director including the Emery Worldwide President Council's Award – Management and Emery Worldwide President Quality Award – Operations. For his impressive private sector track record and contributions to the public sector, he was recognised as a young global leader at the World Economic Forum in 2007. Despite his busy schedule, Mr Teo – who has previously been honored with the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award in 2011 and Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2006– has always made time to give back to his alma mater. Aside from paying it forward as a Living Ambassador of NTU and a member of the Nanyang Business School (NBS) Advisory Board, he has served and contributed to several NTU events and conventions.

致力推动新加坡本地商业与企业发展, 热切关注体育和青年议题

张思乐先生南洋商学院会计学士 / 1992年毕业班

张思乐先生从政时间虽不长，但在政坛的亮眼成绩有目共睹，他也为新加坡体育事业和青年事务做出宝贵贡献；南大特此颁予南洋卓越校友奖，以兹表扬。

张先生2006年当选白沙-榜鹅集选区国会议员，2011年大选重新获得选民委托，至今为选民服务近十年。从政初期，张先生受委为社会发展、青年及体育部政务次长，2008年擢升为社青体部兼交通部高级政务次长。

张先生目前是人力部政务部长兼东北区市长，同时他也担任贸工部政务部长多年。作为贸工部政务部长，张先生负责监督中小企业丶消费者保护丶本区域及中国的企业和贸易关系，他在“起步亚洲新加坡2014年”活动发表主题演讲时，谈到希望实现打造新加坡硅谷的梦想。

张先生热爱运动，曾参加三项全能赛及马拉松长跑竞赛。新加坡当年击退莫斯科，成功申办2010年首届青年奥运会，张先生是幕后功臣之一。申奥成功后，他负起青奥运组织委员会顾问重责，也在青奥运举行期间担任青奥运选手村村长。

张先生享受与年轻人合作交流的经验，曾任全国青年理事会主席。他于2013年与全国青年成就奖理事会合作，发起首届讨论企业社会责任的全国青年论坛。大约200名青年出席了论坛，聆听年轻执行人员讲述有关企业社会责任的个人体验。张先生也在政治前线与年轻人保持紧密联系，从2008年至2013年担任人民行动党青年团主席。

从政之前，张先生在跨国机构出任区域管理职务，包括DHL速递公司新加坡分公司总经理。张先生在私人企业界成就卓越，曾为任职公司赢得多项商业奖项，例如依美利国际空运公司总裁理事会奖（管理）以及依美利国际空运公司总裁素质奖（营运）。凭借在私企和公共领域的显赫成绩，张先生在2007年世界经济论坛上被评选为全球杰出青年领袖。

张先生曾在2011年获颁南洋校友成就奖以及2006年获颁南洋杰出青年校友奖。尽管日程繁忙，他总是抽出时间回馈母校。除了出任南大生活大使以及南洋商学院顾问委员会成员，他也曾多次热心支持南大活动和大会。


Top Cop Who Brought Crime to a 30-Year Low

In recognition of his sterling career and remarkable achievements in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Singapore Police Force (SPF), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Ng Joo Hee with the Nanyang Distinguished Alumni Award.

Mr Ng is the Chief Executive of the Public Utilities Board and Deputy Secretary (Special Duties) in the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources. Prior to this, he was Commissioner of the Singapore Police Force (SPF) from 2010 to 2015. One of the highlights of Mr Ng’s five-year term as Commissioner was helping to bring the crime rate in Singapore down to a 30-year low in 2013. He also earned the plaudits of Deputy Prime Minister and the then Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean for making significant improvements to reduce crime and bringing unlicensed moneylending under control. As Commissioner, Mr Ng sought to help Singapore’s police officers better perform their duties via initiatives like Community Policing and the deployment of police cameras in HDB estates.

Mr Ng has long been a faithful servant to law and order in Singapore, having been with the Ministry of Home Affairs for 29 years. He has held diverse, key leadership roles in the SPF, including as Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigation Department and Director of the Police Intelligence Department. Mr Ng also founded and went on to lead the Special Tactics and Rescue (STAR) Team, an elite outfit that specialises in handling hostage rescue situations and high-risk arrests. The team has played a key role in Singapore’s safety and was vital to the 2007 capture of a Full-Time National Serviceman who had gone missing with a loaded assault rifle. Aside from the SPF, Mr Ng has held other appointments with the Internal Security Department and Singapore Prison Service where he oversaw all prisons and drug rehabilitation centres in Singapore as Director of Prisons.

A firm believer in the value of strong partnerships between international law enforcement agencies in combating transnational crime, he was at the forefront of SPF’s joint operations and information-sharing efforts. He has walked the talk, spending a year serving in Cambodia as a police monitor with the United Nations’ peacekeeping mission there. Mr Ng’s dedication to the cause has seen him being conferred the Darjah Pahlawan Negara Brunei Darussalam Yang Amat Perkasa (“The most gallant order of the Brunei state”) by the Brunei government and the Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (“Order of Police Heroism – Knight Grand Commander”), which is the highest Malaysian award for police officers, by the Government of Malaysia. The awards acknowledge his work for forging stronger ties between the SPF and the countries’ respective police organisations.

Mr Ng’s journey with the SPF began in 1985 when he was awarded the SPF Overseas Scholarship. He went on to read Engineering Science and Economics at the prestigious University of Oxford, graduating with honours in 1988. He also holds a Master in Business Administration (Accountancy) from NTU and a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Mr Ng received the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award in 2010 and was a keynote speaker at that year’s NTU Convocation.

警队统帅，将犯罪率降至三十年新低

黄裕喜先生南洋商学院工商管理硕士 / 1998年毕业班

黄裕喜先生在内政部和新加坡警察部队服务期间表现卓越、成就斐然，获南洋理工大学授予南洋卓越校友奖，以兹表扬。

黄先生现为公用事业局总裁兼环境及水源部副常任秘书（特别任务）。在这之前，他从2010年至2015年1月出任警察总监，任期较为突出的成就是在2013年协助将全国犯罪率降至30年来的新低。黄先生因显著减低犯罪以及使非法放贷活动受到控制，获得时任副总理兼内政部长张志贤的赞扬。他也通过实施社区巡逻制度以及在组屋区装置监控摄像头等新计划，提升警员的工作效率。

黄先生于内政部服务29年，尽忠职守捍卫新加坡的法律和秩序。他在警察部队曾担任多个部门的重要领导职位，包括刑事侦查局副局长和警察情报局局长。黄先生也成立了负责解救人质和执行高危逮捕行动的警察特工队(STAR)，随后还领导这支精英部队执行任务。警察特工队在维持治安方面扮演举足轻重的角色，例如2007年一名全职服役人员擅自携带装有子弹的冲锋枪离开军营，他最终落网，警察特工队功不可没。警察部队之外，黄先生也曾任职于内部安全局、监狱部门等多个其他部门。担任监狱总监期间，他确保全岛各监狱所与戒毒中心的运作稳妥高效。

黄先生坚信打击跨国犯罪需要国际执法机构紧密合作，他在警队的联合行动和信息共享领域中位居前线，发挥领导作用。黄先生身体力行,曾亲赴柬埔寨以警察监测员身份参与为期一年的联合国维和任务。黄先生的献身精神可嘉，为此获文莱政府颁发“最英勇奖章”以及马来西亚政府授予代表其警队最高荣誉的“警察英勇将领勋章”。

黄先生与新加坡警察部队之缘始于1985年，当年他获颁警察部队海外奖学金，负岌英国著名的牛津大学攻读工程科学与经济学，后于1988年考获荣誉学位，学成归国。黄先生也持有南洋理工大学工商管理硕士学位（会计）以及美国哈佛大学肯尼迪政府学院公共行政硕士学位。黄先生曾于2010年获颁南洋校友成就奖，并受邀在当年的南大毕业典礼上发表主题演讲。

His artistic efforts have also seen him traverse mediums in collaborations with composers, dancers and the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. He co-wrote the lyrics for the song Ode to Singapore which was performed at the Singapore Chinese Orchestra Concert by the Bay celebrating Singapore’s 50th birthday.

Mr Pan has a keen interest in French culture and says its poetry – which he discovered in his early 20s – has influenced his poetry writing. Believing that there was a lack of knowledge about wine culture amongst the Chinese-language world, the wine aficionado promoted French wine culture at Lianhe Zaobao, where he was Senior Executive Editor. The newspaper ran articles on making and appreciating French wine and organised wine-tasting sessions for its readers. In 2000, Mr Pan also collaborated with wine connoisseur Ch’ng Poh Tiong on the first annual Chinese Bordeaux Guide. For promoting cultural ties between Singapore and France as well as his achievements in the arts, Mr Pan received the prestigious French honour, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters), in November 2012.

Mr Pan is held in high regards by his peers and was featured in Literary Singapore, a directory of some of Singapore’s most influential and celebrated writers. He is also mentioned in a 14-volume collection titled the Anthology Of Singapore Chinese Literature, which collects Singapore’s post-independence plays for the benefit of future generations.

For his outstanding contributions to the arts and culture scene both at home and abroad, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Pan Cheng Lui with the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award.

Mr Pan is the Editor-in-Chief of Shin Min Daily as well as an accomplished writer and poet, having published five collections of poems, two collections of essays and a collection of interviews and several literary anthologies that he edited.

He has been garnering critical acclaim for his literary works for decades, winning the Golden Lion Award in 1989 for his short story Shipwreck and the National Book Development Council of Singapore Award in 1984 for Poetry for Tell It to the Sun, and earning praise from the likes of Singapore Cultural Medallion recipient Tan Swie Hian and celebrated Taiwanese poet Ya Xuan. Mr Pan’s poems have been translated into several languages and showcased on various platforms. The opening theme poem he wrote for Chingay 2014 inspired the design of a commemorative EZ-link card, while The Ballad of the Rock was exhibited at MRT stations.

潘先生现任《新明日报》总编辑，亦是本地文坛深受尊崇的作家兼诗人，迄今出版过五本诗集、两本散文集、一部人物访问文集，并编辑了一系列报道文学。

潘先生的文学造诣数十年来屡获认可，诗集《告诉阳光》于1984年获颁新加坡全国书籍理事会书籍奖，1989年再凭短篇小说《沉船记》获颁金狮奖。他的作品深受新加坡文化奖得主陈瑞献与台湾著名诗人痖弦所赞赏。其诗作译成多种不同语文，在不同场合和平台上发表。2014年妆艺大游行开场曲《花同心》就是潘先生的诗作，配合活动发行的易通卡纪念套的设计，也以《花同心》内容为本。他的另一首诗作《石子情》则上榜“地铁诗”于地铁站巡回展出。

潘先生对文化艺术的贡献并不限于文学。新加坡欢庆金禧年，他与新加坡华乐团合作，参与了《新加坡颂歌》歌词创作，今年7月先于滨海艺术中心举行的“继往开来—新加坡华乐团欢庆建国五十周年”举行世界首演，之后再于滨海湾金沙广场《乐响国庆2015》户外音乐会上演出。

对于法国文化，潘先生心怀一份难解的情缘，他说过自己在20岁出头仍是文艺青年时就深受法国诗歌作品所启发。有感于中文世界仍缺乏对葡萄酒文化的认识，时任《联合早报》高级编辑的潘先生于是透过早报平台向读者介绍法国葡萄酒酿制与品茗文化，并为读者举办品酒活动。2000年，他与新加坡品酒专家庄布忠合作，出版了中文世界第一本《波尔多葡萄酒概览》。凭着推广新加坡和法国文化交流的贡献，以及对文学艺术的贡献，潘先生于2012年11月荣获法国国家文学暨艺术骑士级勋章。

潘先生在文坛艺坛的成就与贡献备受界内同辈认可。新加坡国家艺术理事会出版《文学新加坡—新加坡当代作家名册》，介绍139位新加坡当代四种官方语言的杰出写作人，潘先生榜上有名。另一部全套14辑的《新华文学作品选》，收录了新加坡战后华文文学作品，潘先生也名列其中。

Visionary Who Helped Drive The Singapore Armed Forces 3rd Generation Transformation Through Information Technologies

Dr Lee Shiang Long School of Mechanical and Production Engineering B.Eng. / Class of 1990M.Eng. / Class of 1993Ph.D. / Class of 2000

In recognition of his key role in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) transformation into a 3rd Generation fighting force, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Dr Lee Shiang Long with the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award.

As Executive Director of the Institute for Infocomm Research (I²R), Dr Lee supports efforts to power a vibrant and strong infocomm ecosystem for Singapore by positioning I²R as a key R&D entity closely integrated with its government and industry partners. I²R enables Singapore’s push to be a Smart Nation that uses technology to better citizens’ lives and create positive economic impacts.

Dr Lee previously enjoyed a decorated 23-year career with the SAF, having risen to the rank of Brigadier General. His last appointment was as Head of Joint Communications and Information Systems Department, and SAF Chief Information Officer (CIO), where he led the design, development and operations of IT systems. He also provided guidance to a community comprising IT staff from the SAF, Defence Science & Technology Agency engineers and Defence Science Organisation scientists.

The forward-thinking Dr Lee played a key role in the SAF’s 3rd Generation transformation into a network-enabled and knowledge-based force, overseeing development of large-scale IT systems, Knowledge Management, advanced communications systems, computer security and the SAF-CISCO Academy. He successfully inculcated a culture of learning and innovation amongst today’s tech-savvy national servicemen via initiatives like LEARNet, which facilitates learning through new media devices, and applications like the MyIPPT iPhone app. Dr Lee’s work contributed to the SAF being recognised with Global Most Admired Knowledge Enterprises (MAKE) Awards from 2011 to 2013.

Dr Lee’s other appointments in the SAF included the roles of Chief Signal Officer, Army CIO and Deputy Assistant Chief of the General Staff (Plans). He was conferred the Commendation (Military), Bronze and Silver Public Administration Medals for the contributions made during his tour of duty. Dr Lee has also received numerous other awards including the Professional Engineers Board Gold Medal and Institution of Engineers Gold Medal, as well as prizes from organisations like ExxonMobil, Hewlett-Packard, OCBC Bank, Shell, and the Singapore Industrial Automation Association. He has also been appointed as a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore.

Dr Lee currently advises NTU’s College of Engineering as a member of its College Advisory Board.

李香龙博士现为资讯通信研究院执行院长。新工作岗位的新使命不亚于武装部队，在新加坡迈向智慧国愿景之际，研究院与政府和业界伙伴紧密合作，充当智慧国的核心科研引擎，为国家打造一个强盛坚实而充满活力的资讯通信生态系统，协助政府应用资讯科技改善全民生活及创造经济效力。

接掌新任务之前，李博士在新加坡武装部队服务了23年，擢升到准将军阶。他离开之前是三军通讯与资讯系统处处长，兼任武装部队资讯长，负责领导武装部队资讯科技系统的设计、发展和作业。他也为国防部内一组资讯科技专家提供指导，成员包括新加坡武装部队资讯科技职员、国防科技局工程师，以及国防科技研究院科学家。

在武装部队任职期间，李博士凭着超然远见，为武装部队转型为网络化知识型的第三代作战部队发挥了举足轻重的领导作用。他监督推动多项大规模资讯科技系统的发展，例如数据中心、知识管理、高级通信系统、计算机安全系统以及 SAF-CISCO 学院等。有感于新一代国民服役人员都属于善用科技的网络Y世代，他为武装部队建立起学习与创新的文化，推出“LEARNet”学习网等新举措，鼓励新世代服役军人通过新媒体器材和手机应用程序不断学习，就比如MyIPPT iPhone。李博士的努力，协助新加坡武装部队从2011年至2013年连续三年获颁“全球最受赞赏的知识型企业奖”。

Mdm Moliah was appointed Principal of Princess Elizabeth Primary School in 2013, as the Ministry of Education sought to leverage on the experience of senior, well-regarded educators like her to spread best practices to heartland schools in support of its “Every School A Good School” initiative.

The move saw her end a successful four-year stint as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Yayasan MENDAKI, which aims to further the development of the Muslim community. As CEO, she introduced initiatives that sharpened the self-help group’s focus of empowering the disadvantaged through excellence in education. The initiatives included the Ridzwan Dzafir Community Awards, which offers scholarships for postgraduate students in the public and social service sector, and Project Protégé, which provides a platform for aspiring talents and youths to be mentored by community icons.

In total, Mdm Moliah has spent nearly three decades in service to the Ministry of Education. She has held key appointments including as Principal of Northland Primary School and Cluster Schools Superintendent, Schools Division South. The veteran educator believes in leading by listening and describes her job in one word, “Connecting”, as it encapsulates her aim of linking her school’s key stakeholders to the world.

While at Northland Primary School, she successfully connected with the Parents Support Group by actively participating in its meetings and social nights. In doing so, she was able to expand the role of the group to the extent that it would handle projects like Teachers’ Day celebrations and the School Diary independently. In 2003, the then Acting Minister for Education, Mr Tharman Shanmugaratham praised the school for its successful partnership with its Parents Support Group.

A firm believer in giving back to society, Mdm Moliah has served on numerous governing boards in a variety of public sector areas, such as the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (Islamic Religious Council of Singapore), the Media Development Authority Board, and the Health Promotion Board Audit & Risk Management Committee. She currently lends her expertise as a member of the Board of Directors of SMRT Corporation Ltd and the Transplant Ethics Committee. She is also a District Counsellor with the South East Community Development Council.

莫莉娅女士献身教育近乎三十载，曾任新华小学校长和南区校群督导。这位资深教育家坚信，懂得聆听，是担任领导的要诀。对于自己的教育使命，她以一个词概括：“联系”，她要把学校里的相关利益各方与全球世界联系起来。

接掌新华小学期间，她积极参与家长支援团的会议与社交活动之夜，成功拉近了家长会与校方的关系，也促使家长会的功能扩大，足以独立担负起筹划教师节庆祝活动或“学校日记”等项目的责任。2003年，新华小学因校方与家长支援团合作无间而获当时的教育部代部长尚达曼表扬。

回馈社会，是莫莉娅女士坚守的人生座右铭，也因此她从不吝于为公共领域的董事局付出心力，包括新加坡回教理事会、媒体发展局、保健促进局审计与风险管理委员会。她现为SMRT集团董事会成员及器官移植道德委员会委员，她也是新加坡东南社区发展理事会的地区顾问。

Mr Ong is a partner in PwC Singapore and has been its Advisory Leader since May 2012. He oversees the 15 partner, 170-strong Deals Advisory practice in Singapore which provides Mergers and Acquisition, Infrastructure and Restructuring advisory services. Mr Ong was one of the pioneers in setting up PwC’s Deals Advisory specialisation soon after he was made partner in 1998.

Mr Ong is also the Managing Partner of PwC Myanmar. He was instrumental in PwC’s re-entry into Myanmar in 2012, and currently oversees the operations and strategies of the firm. The Yangon-based firm focuses on market entry, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure and government advisory and transformation of local businesses.

Mr Ong joined PwC Singapore upon graduation, and spent almost 30 years working in its Singapore and Australia firms, starting out in its Assurance practice before branching into its Advisory practice. Besides professional client work in mergers and acquisitions, Mr Ong has spent the best part of the last 15 years leading various businesses and sectors within PwC. He was previously the leader of PwC’s Singapore and Asia Pacific Transaction Services practice, the Singapore Strategy Leader and also its Technology, InfoComm and Entertainment sector leader.

Despite his busy schedule, Mr Ong is ever-willing to contribute to NTU. He had served the Nanyang Business School (NBS) Alumni Association in various stints from 1998 to 2009 as its President, 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice-President, and Advisor. At the 2007 and 2011 NTU Convocations Mr Ong shared his invaluable insights and experiences with the graduating classes. He also helped interview candidates for the 2006 Nanyang Scholarship and 2013 NBS Undergraduate Admission Exercise. The 2002 Nanyang Alumni Service Award recipient is the first Chairman of the newly-minted NBS Alumni Advisory Board, which consists of 17 other alumni who are top leaders from both public and private sectors. With its wealth of experience, the Board provides strategic advice to the NBS Dean and senior management.

In addition to his PwC and NTU commitments, Mr Ong serves Republic Polytechnic as the Deputy Chairman of its Board of Governors and Audit Committee Chairman, and is also a board member and Audit Committee Chairman of the National Environment Agency and the Arts House Limited.

Mr Ong is a member of both the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants.

王先生是普华永道新加坡公司的合伙人，并从2012年5月起担任其公司的顾问-合并与收购部的领导人。他负责监督其部门的15位合伙人和170位专业员工，以便给顾客提供基础建设与重组等交易咨询服务业务。王先生其实早在1998年成为普华永道合伙人以后，就从事于协助普华永道创立起交易咨询专业领域。

王先生也是普华永道缅甸公司的执行合伙人。2012年，他带领普华永道进入缅甸市场，目前负责监督公司的营运和制定策略。以仰光为总部，其公司在缅甸的业务重点包括市场进入、合并与收购、当地商企的基础建设与转型。

王先生南大毕业后就加入普华永道新加坡，把人生近三十年光景奉献给了公司。他从审计师和提供商业咨询起步，分别在新加坡和悉尼分公司任职过。他处理合并与收购案例经验非常丰富，过去15年也主掌普华永道多个商务和部门，曾担任普华永道亚太区与新加坡交易事项主管、新加坡公司战略领导，也曾分别领导科技、自信通讯、娱乐事务等领域。

Leading Light of the Local Entertainment Scene

In recognition of her achievement in reaching the pinnacle of the local entertainment industry, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Peh Wei Siew Joanne with the Nanyang Alumni Achievement Award.

One of the leading lights in local broadcaster MediaCorp’s stable of artistes, Ms Peh was still an undergraduate when she became a celebrity. She shot to fame after charming the audience – and talent-spotters – with her eloquence and fresh-faced beauty during the finals of the Miss Singapore Universe 2002 pageant, where she won the titles of Miss Elegance and Miss Personality.

Having signed up with MediaCorp, the newcomer was soon receiving accolades for her performances on Channel 8, taking home the Most Popular Newcomer award and the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award at the Star Awards 2004, an annual award ceremony for TV personalities. The awards – earned as she ably juggled studies with her budding acting career – proved to be the first of many Star Awards for the actress, who joined MediaCorp full-time after her graduation. Ms Peh was also awarded the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2006.

One of Ms Peh’s defining performances, as the kindhearted but unfortunate Yuzhu in the hit The Little Nyonya, saw her win her first Best Actress award in 2009. She clinched another Best Actress in 2012 and has won the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award nine times. This year, she achieved the rare feat of being nominated for both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, and won in the latter category for her role in The Journey: Tumultuous Times, the second-season of a nation-building trilogy. A capable host too, Ms Peh’s trophy haul includes the Best Info-ed Programme Host Award from the Star Awards 2011.

In 2004, Ms Peh made the successful transition from the small screen to the silver screen, scoring a role in Jack Neo’s movie The Best Bet. She followed this up with an appearance in the 2011 festive hit It's A Great Great World. Most recently, she played the lead role in the S$2.8 million production 1965, a tribute to Singapore’s Golden Jubilee.

Her popularity makes her a leading choice for celebrity endorsements – she has lent her image to a myriad of brands like Lux, Jetstar, and Panasonic. Ms Peh is effectively bilingual and her appeal as a brainy beauty also meant she was a natural choice to host a road show promoting the Singapore Exchange real-time investing competition StockWhiz.

Ms Peh actively participated in campus activities as an undergraduate – she was a member of the SCI Committee and Cultural Activities Club.

白薇秀小姐在本地演艺圈不断攀登新高峰，辉煌成绩有目共睹，南洋理工大学深感自豪，颁予南洋校友成就奖以兹表扬。

这位本地演艺圈公认的领军人物在南大求学期间已是光芒初绽。她参加2002年度新加坡环球小姐选美赛，以绝佳口才和应对能力以及聪慧清新的形象惊艳全场，获封优雅小姐与个性小姐两项殊荣，从此声名大噪。

才刚与新传媒签约不久，这个亮丽新人就凭着八频道上的精彩演出深获好评，在2004年度红星大奖颁奖礼上荣获最佳新人奖与十大最受欢迎女艺人奖。演艺事业萌芽之际，她其实还得兼顾学业，却能从容应付，两方面都游刃有余。2004年所获得的奖项结果证实只是起步而已，毕业后全职加入新传媒，见证了她的演艺生涯就此腾飞。白小姐亦于2006年获颁南洋杰出青年校友奖。

2007年，白小姐等到了她演艺事业上的第一部代表作《小娘惹》。她凭着剧中第二女主角、善良却命运坎坷的玉珠一角，在多位实力派女演员中脱颖而出，拿下2009年红星大奖最佳女主角奖。2012年，她二度封视后，九次蝉联十大最受欢迎女艺人奖。今年度红星大奖，她同时入围最佳女主角和最佳女配角两个奖项，最后凭《信约三部曲》之二“动荡的年代”一剧中短短两集戏，荣获最佳女配角奖。她在主持方面的才华也不遑多让，勇夺2011年红星大奖最佳资讯节目主持人奖。

2004年，白小姐初次尝试从小银幕跃升大银幕，在梁智强电影《突然发财》里扎上一角；随后在2011年演出群星贺岁片《大世界》。最近她最受人瞩目的电影作品是《1965年》，这部耗资280万元的巨作是配合新加坡建国五十年金禧庆典的历史电影，白小姐在剧中担任女主角。

这位深入民心的女主角也是广告商宠儿，知名品牌如Lux 丽士、捷星航空、松下电器，均找她代言。也因其“智慧型美女”气质鲜明，再加上精通双语，让白小姐成了新加坡股票交易所主板的StockWhiz 买卖股票投资大赛理所当然的主持人选。

Mr Tan Juan Yee ChesterNanyang Business School B.Bus. / Class of 1999

Mr Tan is an award-winning composer with seven albums – his Piano Spa series – in the last 10 years and over 100 piano

instrumental compositions under his belt. His musical work has earned him some of the most prestigious awards in the Singapore music scene. Mr Tan won the COMPASS (Composers and Authors Society of Singapore) Top Local Instrumental Contemporary award four times in a row from 2011 to 2014 and was the 2011 recipient of the COMPASS Young Composer Of The Year award, whose previous winners include local music luminaries Tanya Chua, JJ Lin and Corrinne May. He has also composed the score for a musical Victorian Days, which played at the Esplanade Recital Studio in 2006.

Mr Tan’s musical journey began when he started learning to play the piano at the age of five, and it continued through Primary, Secondary, and Junior College levels as he participated actively in music-related activities like choir and chamber ensemble. But it was as a resident at NTU’s Hall of Residence Five, which has a tradition of producing original musicals, where Mr Tan had ample opportunities to try his hand at composing and arranging music. As part of the Hall’s Quintsical Productions, he wore many hats including that of Music Director, Choral Director, Music Arranger, and cast member.

Outside of music, Mr Tan has carved a successful career with StarHub. He joined the company in 1999 as a Sales Executive and today as Manager of the IS Business Requirements Team. Mr Tan is an avid blogger and writes about his music and other interests, technology and photography, on his blog “Music Photo Life”.

For his award-winning music career and contributions to the Singapore music scene, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Tan Juan Yee Chester with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

新加坡乐坛后起之秀，凭自创钢琴曲载誉无数、名扬亚洲；业余音乐家陈元熙先生让南洋理工大学为之自豪，特此颁发南洋杰出青年校友奖以兹肯定。

陈先生近十年来创作了百多首钢琴曲，出版过7张钢琴演奏曲专辑“Piano Spa”，总共在亚洲销售7万张，最新一张刚在去年底推出。他的作品获本地乐坛认可，2011年到2014年间连续四届蝉联新加坡词曲版权协会颁发的“最佳本地现代乐曲奖”，2011年也同时获颁“年度最佳青年作曲人奖”，同个奖项之前几年的得主包括国际知名创作歌手蔡健雅、林俊杰及符美芸。陈先生也曾在2006年为音乐剧《维多利亚年代》担任作曲人，在滨海艺术中心音乐室公演。

陈先生的音乐生涯始于童年，五岁开始学琴，升上小学、中学、初级学院，一路从不曾断了与音乐的缘分，除了钢琴造诣越来越深，他也积极参与合唱团等其他与音乐相关的活动。不过，却是到了南大求学住宿期间，沉浸在第五宿舍浓郁的自创音乐传统风气，才激励了他自己作曲编曲。宿舍的常年演出，陈先生就一人身兼多重身份，包括音乐总监、声乐总监、编曲人和演员，让他的音乐才华找到了发挥的空间与舞台。

音乐之外，陈先生自1999年起任职于星和集团，现任信息技术业务分析组经理。陈先生也是一位博客，部落格主题是“音乐.摄影.人生”，分享自己对音乐、科技、摄影的心得。

Ms Lim Yen Peng LindaNational Institute of EducationB.A.Dip.Ed. / Class of 1998

In recognition of the milestones she has achieved in her teaching career and for being a trailblazing educator, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Lim Yen Peng Linda with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Ms Lim is always looking for novel ways to help her students make sense of complex science concepts and relate them to the real world. For instance, to help her students understand the idea of absorbency, she got them to test some diapers to see which absorbs the most liquid. The Head of Department of Science & Action Research at Chongzheng Primary School has also used the likes of mechanical toy mice, solar cookers, and paper planes in her inimitable teaching style and has earned the respect of her students for being no nonsense, yet fun.

As the Head of Department, she oversees a host of programmes which provide opportunities to develop concepts, attitudes and skills necessary for scientific inquiry. One of the key programmes sees Primary 3 to 6 students share the results of their investigations with real world applications during the Science Show and Tell sessions, honing their presentation skills in the process.

For her efforts, she received the 2014 President’s Award for Teachers – which recognises excellent teachers for their vital role in educating the next generation – from President Tony Tan Keng Yam at the Teachers’ Day Reception held at the Istana. Ms Lim was one of only five honorees out of a pool of 2,791 nominees.

Ms Lim is equally committed to ensuring her students receive a good moral education. She coordinates a post-Primary School Leaving Examination work attachment programme in which students volunteered their services to both private and grassroots organisations, as well as a statutory board. The participants of the programme contributed through activities like preparing kindergarten lesson materials and guiding excursions as ambassadors. This programme paves the way to help the young charges understand the importance of being an engaged citizen who contributes back to the society, no matter how small the effort may be.

南洋杰出青年校友奖

林艳萍女士身为教育岗位上的开路先锋，孜孜不倦地创造了一个个里程碑，南洋理工大学特此颁予南洋杰出青年校友奖，以兹表扬。

林女士现任崇正小学科学与行为研究学科主任。为了让小学生理解抽象复杂的科学概念，她无时无刻不在寻找新的教学点子和方法，以创意让科学更贴近生活。例如，为了深入浅出地解说吸收性能，她把婴儿纸尿片带到课室里，让学生亲自感受什么叫吸收性能。登堂入室地不只纸尿片，还有机械玩具鼠、太阳能灶、纸飞机等等，全都成了她多姿多彩的教学工具。林女士凭着独一无二的教学风格，使科学课认真严谨却又充满乐趣，深获学生爱戴。

身为学科主任，林女士也负责监管一系列计划，提供了发展科学探究所需的概念丶态度与技能。其中一项主要活动就是让小三至小六学生通过各种调查方式把所学的科学原理应用到现实生活上，在科学“展示与讲述”活动上与同学们分享自己的观察，过程中也磨练了表达能力。

她的努力受到认可，在2791个入围者当中脱颖而出，与另四位教师共同获颁2014年度卓越教师总统奖。林女士在总统府举行的教师节午宴上，从陈庆炎总统手中接获奖项。

林女士也相信教育不应只限于知识的传授，良好的品格教育也一样重要。她参与协调一项在小学离校考试结束后学期间进行的活动计划，让小六生到私人团体、基层组织或法定机构提供义务服务，例如协助幼儿园准备教材和指导出游活动。这个计划开启了一扇门，帮助年轻人了解一位公民能回馈社会的重要性，无论他们付出努力的多寡。

A 2013 recipient of Singapore’s highest teaching accolade, the President’s Award for Teachers, Ms Lim is an educator who strives to instill the right values in her students and never to give up on the challenging students under her care. She has been with Kent Ridge Secondary School for 15 years and is currently its Head of Department for the Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) programme. Ms Lim is committed to overseeing the character development of students and has strategically co-ordinated Kent Ridge’s CCE programmes which help to build the character of her students through meaningful learning experiences like the Values-in-Action Programme. One of which is the KR Hands-On Day, a day set aside for the whole school to participate in a range of community service projects.

Ms Lim believes that every student can shine and she strives to build her students’ confidence and competency. SHINE KR! is a signature programme that offers Normal Course students authentic opportunities to gain core competencies and valuable life lessons through local and overseas service learning projects to Indonesia and Vietnam which she spearheads. Respected by her charges for being firm yet nurturing, the educator conscientiously goes the extra mile to help the high-risk students such as conducting home visits, sending them text messages to enquire about their well-being, as well as encouraging them when they are absent from school. Ms Lim’s unwavering care and concern has helped guide many such students back onto the right path.

The recipient of the Caring Teacher Awards 2006 Award of Commendation (Secondary School Section) is equally dedicated to mentoring and coaching her fellow colleagues so that they grow as effective educators. She is always willing to set aside time to provide advice to new Form Teachers. She is instrumental in guiding her team to look into the pastoral care and well-being of the students and spares no effort in the competency development of her fellow CCE teachers.

林女士于2013年荣获代表新加坡教育界最高荣誉的卓越教师总统奖。她致力于向学生灌输正确价值观，从不放弃挑战性高的问题学生。林女士至今在岗丽中学服务了15年，目前担任校内“品格与公民教育”课程主任。她注重学生的品格发展，特别在“品格与公民教育”课程中融入实践学习，让学生通过“德育在于行动”等计划，从具有意义的学习体验中建立良好品德。例如岗丽中学特设“KR Hands-On Day”，全校师生当天集体参与一系列社区服务计划。

林女士坚信每位学生都能发光发亮，她致力于协助学生建立自信和提升能力。岗丽中学为普通源流学生制定“SHINE KR”计划，由林女士带头安排学生在本地以及赴印尼和越南展开服务学习之旅，让学生从中提升核心能力、吸取宝贵的人生经验。林女士对学生严中有爱，赢得学生的敬佩。遇到问题学生，林女士会不辞辛劳进行家访、在学生缺课时发手机简讯关心和鼓励他们。林女士坚定不移的付出和无私的关怀，引导许多误入歧途的学生走回正路。

In recognition of his impressive feats of endurance as an ultramarathoner, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Dr Ong Kai Wei with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Dr Ong has achieved some notable firsts as an ultramarathoner. In 2014, he became the first Singaporean to complete Spartathlon, a historic 246km annual road race billed as one of the toughest ultra-distance races in the world. Runners have to complete the race within 36 hours and pass each of the 75 checkpoints by a specific time or risk being eliminated. Dr Ong, who had followed a five-month training plan for the race, showed great mental strength and determination to complete the event in a time of 32 hours and 55 minutes despite spraining his ankle around the 42km mark.

He also made local sporting history in 2013 as the first Singaporean to win the Raleigh Challenge Wilson Trail in Hong Kong, pairing up with Hong Konger Mr Law Chor Kin in the team event. The duo beat 18 other teams to cross the line first in 27 hours and 57 minutes. That same year, he was one of only five daredevils to attempt the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge. Besides Dr Ong, only two others – including race founder Mr Andre Blumberg – completed the 298km route made up of four trails. He has also completed other endurance races like The North Face 100 Singapore, Sundown 100km Ultra Marathon, Mongolia Sunrise to Sunset 100km, Malaysia TITI 100km Road Ultra Marathon, 52km Mount Rinjani Ultra and the 167km ULTRA-TRAIL Mt Fuji.

Impressively, Dr Ong only took up running in 2009 because he wanted to pass his IPPT (Individual Physical Proficiency Test). The research engineer with DSO National Laboratories has shared that managing his time effectively and prioritising his various tasks has enabled him to juggle his love for running with his full-time job.

为表扬王凯威博士在超级马拉松运动的超强耐力表现，南洋理工大学特此颁予他南洋杰出青年校友奖。

作为一名超级马拉松运动员，王博士实现了几项令人瞩目的创举。他在2014年成为第一个完成斯巴达超级马拉松的新加坡人。这项246公里长的常年路跑赛是世界上最严酷的超马赛事之一，运动员必须在指定时间内经过沿途75个关卡，并在36小时内跑完全程。进行了五个月赛前培训的王博士在比赛中展现过人意志力和毅力，尽管他在42公里处扭伤脚踝，最终仍成功克服挑战，以32小时55分钟跑完赛程。

王博士也在2013年改写本地体育史，成为第一位赢得香港雷利卫径长征的新加坡人。当时他与香港跑者罗楚健搭档参加这项团队赛，以27小时57分钟率先抵达终点，战胜其他18个团队。同年，王博士是勇于参与香港四径超级挑战的五位参加者之一，最终只有王博士和另两名参与者包括该竞赛发起人安德烈.布隆伯格完成了全长298公里的四径赛程。王博士征服的其他拉力赛包括新加坡The North Face 100公里、Sundown100公里超马、蒙古追日100公里、马来西亚TITI 100公里超马、52公里林加尼山超马以及167公里富士山超级越野跑。

令人刮目相看的是，王博士最初是为了要通过个人体能测验（IPPT）而在2009年开始跑步，没想到因此爱上长跑。目前在国防科技研究院担任研究工程师的王博士表示，有效分配时间以及把该做的事情按优先顺序排好，让他得以在全职工作之余也能享受跑步的乐趣。

Mr Lim Kok Eng Samuel Nanyang Business SchoolB.Acc. / Class of 2002

In recognition of the great success he has achieved as an entrepreneur, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Lim Kok Eng Samuel with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Mr Lim, the man behind one of the region’s biggest e-commerce success stories, is the co-founder & CEO of the Reebonz Group. Reebonz.com was founded in 2009 as an e-tailer aimed to make luxury accessible. It has further expanded to a C2C mobile app marketplace for individuals to sell their pre-owned luxury goods under Reebonz Closets. It also launched the Reebonz Marketplace aggregating the world’s best new and pre-owned luxury boutiques into its platform in 2015.

Mr Lim leads a team of over 350 at the company, which was valued at around S$250 million in an early 2013 financing round led by media giant MediaCorp.

Mr Lim is also the founder of eFusion Solutions Pte Ltd in 2004, a direct sales and marketing company. eFusion Solutions Pte Ltd has over 200 employees and has won numerous awards from reputable financial institutions like HSBC Bank, ANZ bank, MayBank and Standard Chartered Bank.

The serial entrepreneur’s first start-up was mobile content company eFusion Pte Ltd, which he founded while still an NTU undergraduate in year 2000. The company, which was acquired in 2006, was making S$8 million in annual sales by the time he graduated.

Mr Lim was President of the Singapore chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO), which seeks to build the world’s most influential community of entrepreneurs, from 2009 to 2010. He has also served as President of the Audio Text Service Providers association, and is a member of the Young President’s Organisation (YPO), Singapore.

He believes in giving back to society by helping to mentor young, budding entrepreneurs, and sharing his experiences. Mr Lim has made time to work with NTU’s students, collaborating with the Computer Engineering Club on the Reebonz Hackathon Challenge in 2013.

林先生一手打造了亚太区规模最大、发展最迅速的电子商务传奇。他是Reebonz 集团的创办人兼总裁，2009年创办了Reebonz.com购物网站，先是把精品借着网络平台推向大众市场，进而发展成C2C个人对个人电子商务移动程序交易平台，让个人可通过拍卖程序上网出售自己所拥有的精品。2015年进一步推出Reebonz Marketplace，把全球最优质名牌精品云集到同一个平台上。

如今，林先生率领的是一支350人团队，集团于2013年中获传媒业巨子新传媒集团注资2000万新元，同个财政年度市值约达2亿5000万新元。

较早前，林先生已先于20 0 4 年创办了直接销售和直效营销私人有限公司eFusion Solutions ，旗下有超过200名员工，曾获多个金融机构颁发奖项予以认可，当中包括汇丰银行、 ANZ 澳盛银行、马来亚银行及渣打银行。

不过，这位年轻企业家的创业苗子还启蒙得更早；早在2000年还在南大求学时，就创办了人生的第一家公司eFusion 移动内容私人有限公司。两年后林先生南大学成毕业，公司的年销售额已达800万新元。而后在2006年被收购。

林先生于2009年至2010年间出任企业家协会新加坡分会会长，这个组织旨在为世界各地打造能发挥影响力的企业家社群。他也同时出任音频文本服务供应商协会会长，青年总裁组织新加坡分会会员。

林先生很愿意分享自己的经验，积极栽培年轻新兴企业家，因为他深信这是回馈社会的方式。所以他从不吝于回母校与南大在校学生合作，例如在2013年就与南大计算机工程俱乐部合办了编程马拉松挑战赛。

Mr Tan joined the family business after completing his undergraduate studies in 2002 and swiftly moved to implement changes to take the business forward. Noticing that an influx of speculative money was creating an increasingly volatile commodities market, he formed an in-house trading team that could implement measures like hedging against fluctuations. His other innovations include providing daily information updates for customers on market outlook, procurement and strategic collateral management services to refineries, and credit management for regular partners.

His efforts contributed strongly to the company receiving the Enterprise 50 (E50) Award – which recognises the 50 most enterprising, privately-owned local companies that have contributed to economic development here and overseas – from 2005 to 2014. Established in 1995, the E50 Awards are organised by The Business Times and KPMG, and supported by International Enterprise Singapore, the Singapore Business Federation and SPRING Singapore. In 2014, Wee Tiong was the first to be honoured with the Ten Year Award for clinching the E50 Award for 10 years running.

Another of Mr Tan’s achievements was getting Wee Tiong accepted into IE Singapore’s Global Trader Programme. The scheme provides a concessionary tax rate on qualifying trading income for a five-year renewable period to established international players committed to expanding their operations from Singapore.

On a personal-level, Mr Tan has received the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of the Year 2011 – Emerging award, and has been featured by Prestige magazine on its annual 40 Under 40 list.

In recognition of the great strides he has helped his company make, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Tan Wee Beng with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

Mr Tan is a Director of Wee Tiong (S) Pte Ltd, a leading physical commodities trading company in Southeast Asia. The company had its origins as a local rice and sugar importer and distributor, but has since expanded its product range to include other commodities like groundnuts and wheat flour. It was incorporated in 1993.

陈先生2002年大学毕业后即加入家族企业，并迅速实行改革，推动业务发展。他意识到商品市场因投机性资金大量涌入而愈加起伏不定，于是他成立了一个内部交易团队，其职责之一是负责针对市场波动采取防范应对措施。陈先生的其他革新之举包括就市场展望为客户提供每日最新信息、提供采购与战略担保品管理服务以及为固定合作伙伴提供信贷管理。

Mr Koo is a multiple award-winning photographer who received Singapore’s most coveted photography award, the ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu, in 2012 for his three series examining the concept of home and homeland: Dreaming of Phayul, Paradise Lost and We Would Be Heroes.

The passionate photographer founded Kathmandu INSIDE:OUT (KIO) in 2012, an annual photography masterclass held in Kathmandu, Nepal, which pairs international participants with local photographers. A firm believer in the power of photography to change lives, Mr Koo has pioneered an immersive learning environment where participants, both local and international, can learn from each other through the process of storytelling. He is also the founder of CAPTURED, a creative agency and photography collective which aims to help young photographers pursue their passion through commercial sustainability.

Mr Koo first earned international recognition when he was placed third in the UNICEF Photo of the Year 2009 competition for his work on Pakistan. Following this, he was awarded the prestigious Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography, which was created to help photojournalists pursue projects of personal and journalistic significance. Mr Koo has also previously won the Photos of Risk contest organised by the Nepal Risk Reduction Consortium.

His works have been exhibited at international exhibitions across the globe including the 2009 Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism in Germany, the 2012 Dali International Photo Exhibition in China, and the 2012 Visa pour l’Image in France. Mr Koo has published two books, Paradise (2014) and Transit (2015). Paradise, which documents in photos and text, his search for paradise in the controversial Swat Valley of Pakistan, was a finalist for Best Photography Book in the Pictures of the Year International competition，an established annual visual journalism competition. Transit, which looks at the commuting experience in Singapore by capturing random commuters standing on the edge of MRT train doors, caught the public imagination when it went viral online.

Mr Koo also has five years of experience working as a news photographer, including over three years with the national broadsheet The Straits Times. An outstanding student, the journalism major graduated as Valedictorian of his cohort and received the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal and Singapore Press Holdings Gold Medal.

邱先生屡获摄影大奖。2012年，他以“家与家乡”为主题创作了三个系列的摄影作品：《梦着祖国、失去的天堂、我们将是英雄》获颁新加坡最受瞩目的ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu摄影大奖。

邱先生曾从事新闻摄影工作五年，其中三年服务于国家主要大报《海峡时报》。主修新闻学的邱先生在南大求学期间成绩优异，他在毕业典礼上代表同学致辞，并荣获李光耀金牌奖和新加坡报业控股金牌奖。

Ms Choo Bei Fen JovinaSport Science and ManagementB.Sc.Sport Sc. & Mgt. / Class of 2013

For her accomplishments as a sailor and contributions to Singapore sports, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Jovina Choo Bei Fen with the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

A top national sailor, Ms Choo did the nation proud at the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Singapore in 2015 when she contributed two gold medals to the Republic’s largest-ever SEA Games medal haul of 84 gold medals. She skippered her team to victory in both the Female Fleet Racing Keelboat and Female Match Racing Keelboat events. Post-SEA Games, she again skippered the keelboat team that clinched Singapore’s first-ever medal – a bronze – at the International Sailing Federation Nations Cup Grand Finals.

Ms Choo’s medal collection includes a Women’s Gold in the 2015 SB20 Grand Slam, a silver in the 2015 ISAF Nations Cup Oceania Qualifiers, a bronze from the Womens’ 470 event at the 2008 Asian Sailing Championship, a silver from the Women’s 420 sailing event at the 2007 SEA Games, and an Individual and Team gold from the 2005 ASIAN Optimist Championship in Thailand. She was named NTU’s Sportswoman of the Year for 2009/2010. Her outstanding performances in sailing have also seen her receive the 2006 Indeco Sports Scholarship (Sports Science and Management) and a 2005 scholarship from Manulife (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Currently ranked 18th in the world, Ms Choo is looking to embark on a sailing campaign to reach the top 10 in the world. She has also tried her hand at running her own business, having helmed social enterprise Dream+ with like-minded national athletes, to empower disadvantaged youths through sports .

朱小姐是国家队帆船女将，在刚落幕的第28届东南亚运动会上，她在新加坡主场率领女子龙骨船队分别在两个赛项中漂亮地摘下金牌，为我国历来最丰硕的84金东运战果作出重要贡献。东运会过后，她的征途并没有停歇，继续率领龙骨船女队航向更大的赛场，在国际帆船联合会举办的国际杯帆船总决赛中为新加坡夺得历来第一枚铜牌。

东运会赛场上扬威，背后其实积累了十多年的坚持与心血。这些年来她不断南征北伐，也屡获认可。今年，她分别获得 SB20 大满贯女子第一、国际帆船联合会国际杯大洋洲资格赛第二。除此之外，她也荣获2008年亚洲帆船锦标赛女子470型赛项铜牌、2007年东运会勇夺女子420型赛项银牌、以及早在2005年出征泰国参加亚洲乐观型帆船锦标赛，就一举囊括个人与团队金牌。朱小姐也曾获选为2009年/2010年度南大女运动员。她在帆船运动持续不懈的出色表现，也让她分别在2005年获颁 Manulife宏利奖学金及Indeco 体育奖学金（体育科学与管理）。

如今是世界排名第18，朱小姐誓言更上一层楼，争取在帆船运动的竞技平台上晋升世界十大位置。除了不断提升自己的水平，她也积极通过其他途径把体育意识推广到社会各层面，包括创立社会企业Dream+ ，与志同道合的国家队健儿，让弱势青少年通过体育更有信心与能力主导自己的人生。

陈娟容女士多年来坚持为南洋大学毕业生协会献心献力，南洋理工大学特此颁予南洋校友服务奖，以兹表扬。

陈女士20多年来积极服务于南洋大学毕业生协会，为传承和弘扬南大精神尽心尽力。成立于1964年的南洋大学毕业生协会旨在促进校友之间的联系与友谊，是目前南大较为活跃的校友会之一。

陈女士现任南洋大学毕业生协会2013年至2016年中央理事会理事，担任文教与出版组副组长。2015年是南洋大学创校60周年，陈女士与协会理事们拨出不少时间和精力筹办纪念活动，例如在裕廊乡村俱乐部主办高尔夫球赛、在维多利亚音乐厅开音乐会以及在莱佛士城会议中心举行庆祝晚宴。

陈女士曾在南洋大学毕业生协会担任多职，包括自2007年至2013年出任文教与出版组组长、2010年南洋大学55周年联欢晚会筹委会委员以及自1995年至1997年担任副秘书长。

For her outstanding service and contributions to the Association of Nanyang University Graduates (ANUG), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mdm Tan Kuan Yong with the Nanyang Alumni Service.

For over two decades, Mdm Tan has played a key role in keeping the Nantah spirit alive via her devoted service to ANUG, which was formed in 1964 to build better relationships and understanding among alumni of Nanyang University. ANUG is one of the more active alumni associations today.

Previously, Mdm Tan had also served ANUG in various roles including as Head of Cultural Education & Publishing Unit from 2007 to 2013, a member of the Nanyang University 55th anniversary reunion organising committee in 2010, and its Deputy Secretary General from 1995 to 1997.

Currently a freelance writer, she worked for Singapore Press Holdings for 44 years prior to her retirement.

Mdm Tan is currently a member of the ANUG’s 2013 – 2016 Central Council, serving as Deputy Head of its Cultural Education & Publishing Unit. Mr Tan Teck Beng Nanyang Business School B.Acc. / Class of 1995

In recognition of his sterling service to the University’s alumni club, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Tan Teck Beng with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Tan is currently President of the NTU Alumni Club (NTUAC), which is located at NTU’s one-north campus. He has served in NTUAC since 2011 in various roles including Honorary Treasurer, Honorary General Secretary, and Assistant Honorary Treasurer.

Today, as President, he works with the management committee and staff to operate the club in a manner that best benefits its members, who include graduates from NTU, Nanyang University, Nanyang Technological Institute, and the National Institute of Education. Mr Tan was also a member of the Organising Committee for the combined reunion held in 2010 for NTU’s Classes of 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

Mr Tan is the co-founder and Managing Director of Performance Leadership Pte Ltd and Director of Performance Recognition Pte Ltd. Both companies enjoy a leading position in the area of human capital development.

卓鸿生先生二十年来持续为南大校友佛学会奉献心力，南洋理工大学特此颁予南洋校友服务奖，表扬他的贡献。

卓先生是南大校友佛学会的中坚份子，自2009年起就出任会长。他的其中一项重要贡献是协助学会成立一所正式持照经营的“小小菩提学生托管中心”。这所学生托管中心设在兀兰，是纯非营利志愿福利组织，附属于南大校友佛学会和南大佛学会。卓先生早在1997年起就出任“小小菩提学生托管社区计划”管委会成员，与其他校友佛学会成员前后花了整整六年的时间进行筹划，才成功把这项“社区服务计划”落实为“全方位托管中心”。2006年，他也参与南大新生入学遴选团，担任南大酌情收生面試委员会成员。

卓先生现任基督堂中学教师兼高级主任，课余持续为自己深具热忱和使命感的领域付出，如2006年迄今为新加坡佛教总会的樟宜监狱辅导项目担任辅导员。

在南大求学期间，卓先生就活跃于南大佛学会，曾在宣传、弘法活动、佛友联谊会等各个委员会担当要职。

Mr Toh has been a steadfast member of the NTUBSA, having served as its President since 2009. One of his key achievements with the NTUBSA is the establishment of the Little Bodhi Student Care, a fully-licensed student care centre located in Woodlands. It took Mr Toh and his fellow NTUBSA members six years to set-up the non-profit voluntary welfare organisation, which is affiliated to the NTUBSA and NTU Buddhist Society. He has been on the Management Committee of the Little Bodhi Student Care Community Project since 1997. Mr Toh has also given back to NTU by serving as a Discretionary Intake Interview Panelist in 2006.

A full-time teacher and Senior Head of Department at Christ Church Secondary School, Mr Toh makes time to support various other causes he cares passionately for. Since 2006, he has served the Singapore Buddhist Federation as a Buddhist Counsellor in the Changi Prison Counselling Programme.

As an undergraduate, Mr Toh was an active member of the NTU Buddhist Society, taking up various roles on its Publicity, Dharma Propagation and Buddhist Fellowship Sub-committees.

钱钦阳先生对设在中国的南大校友会尤其是南大陕西校友会贡献良多，南洋理工大学特此颁发南洋校友服务奖，以兹表扬。

钱先生早在2008年就担任南大江苏校友会秘书长。因工作变动，2012年至2013年担任南大陕西校友会副会长，2013年底又兼任秘书长一职。南大陕西校友会早在2010年筹办同年11月的正式成立大会时，也曾获得钱先生的支持与帮助。

钱先生担任南大陕西校友会领导工作以来，积极参与慈善，回馈社会，向山区贫困学生、盲生学校捐赠文具、书本、体育用品、钢琴和电脑等，钱先生也带头设立了《南大陕西校友会爱心基金》。

2014年，在钱先生的组织下，南大陕西校友会在西安建国饭店举行春节《迎新春晚会》的同时，校友们集资于春节前夕在西安火车站举办《春节献爱心温暖回家路》活动，免费为返乡农民工发放方便面等。自2014年以来，在钱先生的带领下，南大陜西校友会每月有一次活动，包括送温暖、贫困助学、太白山活动基地成立、学术讲座、投资理财沙龙、教师节聚会、秦岭踏春、台湾行、西藏行等活动二十余场。

钱先生目前是陕西天颂投资管理有限公司董事长。

Mr Qian Qinyang School of Humanities and Social SciencesM.Sc. (Managerial Econs.) / Class of 1999

In recognition of his contributions towards the China-based NTU Alumni Associations, in particular the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Shaanxi), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Qian Qinyang with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

In 2008, Mr Qian served as the Secretary General of NTUAA (Jiangsu). Due to relocation, he then became the Vice President of NTUAA (Shaanxi) from 2012 to 2013, and concurrently its Secretary General in late 2013. He also supported the association’s official launch event in November 2010.

Mr Qian has utilised his influence to initiate a series of charity events organised by NTUAA (Shaanxi) to give back to society. These initiatives included the donating of stationery, books, sports equipment, piano and computers to schools and needy students, as well as the setting up of the “Love and Care Fund” in the association. In 2014, Mr Qian helped to organise the “Chinese New Year Love and Care Event”, a free meal event held in conjunction with a Chinese New Year gathering for NTUAA (Shaanxi) members at Jianguo Hotel Xi’an. The association pooled together funds to purchase instant noodles for migrant workers who were returning home at the Xi’an railway station.

Since 2014, under Mr Qian’s leadership, NTUAA (Shaanxi) has organised an average of one event every month, totalling over 20 events to date. These include: distributing free goods, helping poor students, building an activity centre at the Taibei Mountain region, holding seminars and investment management talks , organising a Teachers’ Day party, conducting a spring excursion to Qinling Mountain and organising trips to Taiwan and Tibet, amongst many others.

Mr Qian is currently Chairman of the Tian Song Investment Management Cooperation Ltd in Shaanxi.

为表扬陈香君女士对母校的不懈服务与积极奉献，南洋理工大学特此颁发南洋校友服务奖。

陈女士2007年开始在南洋商学院校友会服务，她从2007年至2013年担任校友会委员会成员，后晋升为第一副会长，服务精神可嘉。

陈女士在攻读硕士学位时成绩优异，曾在优等生名单榜上有名, 也是毕业班的金牌获奖者。为回馈母校，陈女士参与了南洋工商管理硕士导师计划，充当同侪导师。她也设立Anna Chen H. K.书籍奖，每年拨出800元奖励一位杰出的南洋商学院毕业班学生。

陈女士于2009年、2010年及2012年拨冗担任南大酌情收生面试委员会成员、2008年出任南大助学金面试委员会成员，对申请者进行面试遴选。除此之外，她也担任班级代表，协助加强校友与校方之间的联系。

In recognition of her stalwart service and dedication to her alma mater, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Chen Heung Kwan Anna with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Ms Chen came forward to be part of the Nanyang Business School Alumni Association (NBSAA) in 2007. Ms Chen has since served the NBSAA with distinction, first as a committee member from 2007 to 2013, and then as its First Vice-President.

On the Dean’s Honours List and the recipient of the graduating class gold medal while reading her Master’s, Ms Chen has paid it forward by being a mentor to her peers under The Nanyang MBA Mentorship scheme. She also continues to give back in the form of founding the Anna Chen H. K. Book Prize. The prize, which comes with an award of up to $800, is given out each year to one outstanding Nanyang Business School final-year undergraduate.

Ms Chen also volunteered her time as a Discretionary Intake Interview Panelist in 2009, 2010 and 2012, and an NTU Bursaries Interview Panelist in 2008. In addition, she represents her cohort as a Class Agent, working to strengthen alumni-university ties.

Ms Chen is a chartered accountant and is currently working in a multinational oil and gas company.

黎文琦女士积极拓展南洋理工大学在中国的校友网络，获颁南洋校友服务奖。

2002年完成硕士课程之后，黎女士加入南洋理工大学成为全职职员，协助设立南洋高层主管工商管理硕士中文项目（EMBA）。她是南洋EMBA项目第一位派驻中国上海的职员，担任南洋EMBA上海办公室主任十二年间，她为南洋EMBA在华的推广、宣传、发展以及校友网络的建设做出一定贡献。

黎女士热心校友会工作，自南洋理工大学上海校友会2007年成立后即大力支持校友会活动。2013年黎女士出任上海校友会秘书长，积极拓展校友网络，有效地担负起了上海校友会和EMBA校友之间的桥梁。黎女士也曾担任上海校友会理事多年，协助筹办校友会历年年会。

黎女士也牵头组织戏剧沙龙，让校友有机会聚在一起观赏著名中国戏剧，并组织导演、主要演员与校友的对话活动。黎女士目前服务于英属哥伦比亚大学，担任其国际工商管理硕士课程上海办公室主任。

Ms Li Wenqi Nanyang Business School M.B.A. / Class of 2002

For her efforts in developing the alumni network in China, Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Li Wenqi with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

After completing her postgraduate studies at NTU in 2002, Ms Li joined the University as a full-time staff and helped develop the Nanyang Executive MBA (Chinese) Programme (EMBA). She was a pioneer staff member at NTU’s Shanghai office and spent 12 fruitful years there promoting and develop the EMBA, and establishing the University’s alumni network in China.

Always enthusiastic about alumni affairs, Ms Li has been a staunch supporter of the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Shanghai) since its launch in 2007. Appointed as Secretary General of the NTU AA (Shanghai) in 2013, Ms Li has played a key role in expanding its network of alumni and connecting Shanghai-based NTU and EMBA alumni. Ms Li has also previously served as a Committee Member of NTUAA (Shanghai) and helped to plan annual gatherings for the association.

Ms Li, who currently works for the University of British Columbia as Director of its International MBA Shanghai Office, has also organised events which gave NTU alumni the opportunity to come together and watch popular Chinese dramas and interact with the directors and cast.

史军先生积极服务南洋理工大学山东校友会，贡献显著，南大特此授予南洋校友服务奖，以示肯定。

史先生是南大山东校友会的创始成员，曾协助筹办2007年11月为庆祝创会而举办的论坛兼晚宴，大约100名校友出席当天的活动。史先生最初担任山东校友会秘书长，2014年2月接任副会长职务。他积极为山东校友主办各种活动，例如2011年12月举行的校友论坛和校友联欢会吸引了120名校友和他省嘉宾参加。2015年在中国举行的南大毕业典礼，史先生也参与筹备工作。

史先生是山东同圆设计集团有限公司执行董事兼总经理。同圆设计是一家以建筑设计为核心的综合性工程服务企业集团，曾多次获奖包括被评选为”中国十大设计院”及”山东省第一名设计院”。史先生本人也多次获得部优，省优科技进步奖，并于2010年当选青岛房地产最具影响力人物之一。

For his outstanding service and contributions to the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Shandong), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Shi Jun with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Shi is a pioneer member of the NTUAA (Shandong), having assisted with its successful November 2007 launch event – a forum-cum-dinner reception attended by some 100 alumni. Serving initially as its Secretary General, he accepted the responsibilities of Vice President in February 2014. He has played a key role in organising various events and activities for Shandong alumni such as the Alumni Forum and Alumni Get-together in December 2011 that was attended by 120 alumni and guests from different provinces. In addition, he also aided in the preparations for NTU Convocation 2015 in China.

Mr Shi is the Managing Director & General Manager of Shandong Tong Yuan Design Group Co. Ltd., a comprehensive engineering service enterprise group with a focus on architectural design. The company has received numerous accolades including being selected as one of the “Top Ten Design Institutes in China” and “Number One Design Institute in Shandong Province”. Mr Shi himself has also won many awards, including the Science and Technology Progress Award offered by the departmental and provincial authorities, and he was named one of the most influential real estate persons in Qingdao in 2010.

自南大北京校友会2007年成立以来，身为副会长的陈先生积极为校友主办活动和聚会。他也鼎力支持去年在北京召开的南大中国毕业典礼。2015年1月，南大校友在北京举行春节晚餐聚会，南大副校长（国际事务）余明华教授在会上向陈先生颁发杰出贡献奖，以表扬他对南大北京校友会的奉献。

陈先生是中国黄金珠宝业的领军人物，现任中国黄金集团黄金珠宝有限公司董事长以及中国黄金协会副会长。他曾获中国人力资源社会保障部、中国有色金属工业协会、中国黄金协会授予“全国黄金行业劳动模范”。陈先生也利用其作为行业佼佼者的优势，协助南大校友在中国创业经商。

For his outstanding service and contributions to the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Beijing), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Chen Xiongwei with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Chen is the Vice President of NTUAA (Beijing) and has been active in organising the association’s various alumni events and gatherings since its inception in 2007. He also lent his support to last year’s NTU Convocation in China which was held in Beijing. For his support to the NTUAA (Beijing), he received the Outstanding Contribution Award from NTU Vice-President for International Affairs Professor Er Meng Hwa at a Spring Festival dinner gathering for alumni in Beijing in January 2015.

A leader in China’s gold and jewellery industry, Mr Chen holds positions including Chairman of the China National Gold Group Gold & Jewelry Co. Ltd, and Deputy President of the China Gold Association. He was previously named the “China National Model Worker in Gold Industry” by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association, and China Gold Association. He has tapped on his strengths as an industry leader to help NTU alumni start and develop their businesses in China.

为肯定杨晔先生在南洋理工大学辽宁校友会的杰出服务与贡献，南大特此颁予杨先生南洋校友服务奖。

自南洋理工大学辽宁校友会2008年7月创立以来，杨先生就与校友会结下不解之缘。他协助筹办辽宁校友会于沈阳皇朝万豪酒店举行的创会仪式，最初担任辽宁校友会副会长，后于2011年接任会长职务。杨先生于2014年获选为荣誉会长，他为辽宁校友会贡献良多，在幕后出力支持的活动包括2014年12月7日的南大辽宁校友会聚会和年会、2013年在上海以及2014年在北京举行的全中国南大校友会联谊大会。他也热心支持其他南大校友会在中国所举办的活动。

杨先生目前是辽宁省住房和城乡建设厅副厅长。他负责的建筑项目曾多次获奖，例如沈阳市图书馆、儿童活动中心和辽宁省图书馆等。他亦于2008获颁辽宁省十大杰出青年奖。

For his outstanding service and contributions to the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Liaoning), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Yang Ye with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Yang has had a close association with the NTUAA (Liaoning) since its inauguration in July 2008. He assisted with the AA’s launch held at the Shenyang Marvelot Hotel and went on to serve as Vice-President of the NTUAA (Liaoning) until 2011, when he became its President. Named Honorary President in 2014, Mr Yang has served the AA with distinction, supporting events like the Alumni Gathering of NTUAA (Liaoning) and AGM on 7 December 2014, and the Conference of China-based NTU AAs held in Shanghai in 2013 and Beijing in 2014.

He is currently the Chief Planner of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. Mr Yang has received several accolades for the projects under his care, such as the Shenyang City Library and Children's Activity Centre, and Liaoning Province Library. He was named one of the top 10 outstanding young model of Liaoning Province in 2008.

劉冠德先生致力于协助南大材料科学与工程学院校友会推展活动，凝聚校友，南洋理工大学特此授予南洋校友服务奖以兹肯定。

自2013年担任材料科学与工程学院校友会会长以来，劉先生推出各种计划，以增加校友的参与。这些措施吸引会员积极参与，还让会员参加校友会活动享有更多优惠。劉先生也鼓励校友自行主办活动，自办迷你聚会的会员可获得校友会赠送礼券等。劉先生和校友会执行委员们平均每月为该校友会主办一次活动，让1000多名会员有机会联络情谊。

劉先生也每年跟材料科学与工程学院学生会和研究生学生会共同主办校友论坛，网罗来自不同行业的校友与学弟妹们分享工作经验。劉先生和他的团队还带头，引领校友们参与社区外展活动，例如参加新加坡国际基金会的“生命之水”计划，在2013和2014这两年内到印尼拉蒙岸的乡村和学校装置滤水器以及给当地孩童上课传授卫生知识。

出任会长之前，劉先生从2011年起，也曾担任了该校友会的副会长以及行销与资讯科技主任。其实他本身是一位创业者，他与友人联合创办PayWhere Pte Ltd，该企业被新加坡电脑协会评选为十大“最佳科技公司雇主”之一。劉先生早年在南大求学期间，就已创立Massive Infinity Pte Ltd，这家互联网与手机应用软件开发公司多年来曾负责制作国庆手机应用软件和政府财政预算案的手机应用软件。

As the President of MSEAA since 2013, Mr Lau has introduced various schemes to increase alumni participation. These include seasonal promotions and discounts for active alumni to participate in MSEAA organised events, and a Micro-Events scheme that rewards alumni for organising their own mini-gatherings. Together with his equally passionate EXCO members, the association has connected with its alumni body of more than 1,000 members, and organised an average of one activity every month.

Each year, Mr Lau also brings together alumni from various industries to share their experiences with undergraduates and postgraduates via the Alumni Forums co-organised with the MSE Club and Graduate Students Club. In the spirit of giving back, Mr Lau and his team have led the MSEAA’s community outreach efforts by participating in the Singapore International Foundation’s Water for Life programme, where they visited rural schools and villages in Lamongan, Indonesia, to install membrane water filters and conduct water hygiene lessons for children in 2013 and 2014.

Mr Lau, who has also served the MSEAA as Vice-President and Marketing & IT Director for 4 years since 2011, is an entrepreneur who co-founded PayWhere Pte Ltd. It is recognised by the Singapore Computer Society as one of ten “Best Tech Company to Work For”. While still an undergraduate, he started Massive Infinity Pte Ltd, the digital agency behind a number of the National Day Parade (NDP) and the Ministry of Finance Budget apps.

黄梓涵先生凭着对化学与生物工程学院校友会的杰出服务与贡献，获南洋理工大学颁予南洋校友服务奖。

2010年正值化学与生物工程学院创建初期，黄先生挺身而出接下创办校友会的重任。他协助策划了校友会的推介仪式，当天的活动吸引大约100名校友踊跃出席。随后黄先生出任该校友会会长，直至今日他仍恪守职责，为校友会事务劳心劳力。在黄先生的安排下，校友会主办了下午茶自助餐、电影观赏会、品酒会等一系列活动，促进校友保持联系。化学与生物工程学院将在2015年至2016年学年庆祝创建十周年，黄先生是庆典的幕后筹划功臣之一。

黄先生任职于人力部，是工作场所安全与卫生处高级专家。他去年曾受邀回南大出席一个有关纳米科技安全的国际研讨会，担任主讲者。

Mr Ng Zhihan School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering B.Eng. (Chem. & Biomol. Eng.) / Class of 2009

For his outstanding service and contributions to the School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Alumni Association (SCBEAA), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Ng Zhihan with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

In 2010, Mr Ng rose to the challenge of setting up an alumni association for his then-fledgling school. Having helped to plan the launch event that was well-attended by about 100 alumni, he went on to serve as President of the SCBEAA, a role he still fulfills with distinction today. He has been instrumental in keeping alumni connected via a variety of events ranging from high tea buffets to movie screenings, and even wine tasting sessions. Recently, Mr Ng helped come up with the school’s 10-year anniversary event for academic year 2015-2016.

The Senior Specialist in Workplace Safety and Health at the Ministry of Manpower has also returned to NTU as an Invited Speaker at last year’s International Symposium for Nanosafety: Social, Environmental and Health Impacts.

凭着对南洋理工大学广东校友会的卓越服务与杰出贡献，曾鹏先生获南大颁予南洋校友服务奖。

曾先生自2011年担任南洋理工大学广东校友会副会长，今年3月出任会长。作为广东校友会的骨干成员，曾先生献出时间和精力积极筹办校友会活动，例如参与筹划南大在中国举行的2010年毕业典礼暨校友聚会、2014年广州南沙区的校友聚会以及广东校友会年会。曾先生也于2013年与香港校友会联办乘船出游兼聚餐活动，让广东校友与香港校友建立联系。

身为广东校友会会长，曾先生目前正在探讨建立兴趣群体，如“创业孵化和投资俱乐部”、“户外活动俱乐部”等，让校友有多一个结识和交流的平台。他也积极支持在青岛举行的第三届全中国南大校友会论坛，并在现场与南大的创新企业公司- NTUitive签署了一份合作备忘录。这个合作协议意味着NTUitive与南大广东校友会的长期合作关系的开始，并将引导南大校友的新兴企业透过南大在中国的校友网络拓展中国市场，为双方创造双赢的投资与商业发展机会。

曾先生也是广州创吧投资以及珠海南方创谷的发起人兼总裁。

Mr Zeng PengNanyang Business SchoolE.M.B.A. / Class of 2009

For his outstanding service and contributions to the NTU Alumni Association (AA) (Guangdong), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Mr Zeng Peng with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Mr Zeng became President of the NTUAA (Guangdong) in March, but has served as its Vice President since 2011. He has contributed much time and effort towards the organising of alumni activities in China such as the 2010 NTU Convocation in China & Alumni Get-together events in Guangdong, an Alumni Get-together event in Nansha District in 2014, and the NTUAA (Guangdong) Annual Gathering. He has also helped connect alumni from the NTUAA (Guangdong) with their counterparts from Hong Kong by jointly organising a boat trip-cum-dinner with the NTUAA (Hong Kong SAR) in 2013.

As President, he is currently working on providing a platform for alumni to come together via interest groups like the “Entrepreneurship & Investment Club” and “Outdoor Activities Club”. He also supported the 3rd Conference of China-based NTU AAs in Qingdao and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University’s innovation and enterprise arm, NTUitive. This partnership signifies the start of a long-term working relationship between NTUitive and NTUAA (Guangdong) in guiding NTU’s start-ups to expand into the Chinese market through the NTU alumni network in China, and at the same time creating investment and business development opportunities for both parties.

Mr Zeng is also the founder and CEO of the Startup Bar Investment in Guangzhou City and the South-China Startup Valley in Zhuhai City.

冯宽妍女士积极扶持处于萌芽阶段的南大中医校友会茁壮成长，她的坚持与贡献获南洋理工大学认可，特此授予南洋校友服务奖。

冯女士原任南大中医校友会支部领袖，2013年出任会长。冯女士热衷于推广传统中医药，例如她在2014年NTU Fest嘉年华协助设立了中医药摊位，由南大中医校友会会员提供咨询和推拿服务,并通过展示和以游戏方式提高公众对中医药的认知，吸引了大会嘉宾教育部长王瑞杰驻足参观。在她任期期间，她积极率领南大中医校友会会员参与义诊活动，其中包括华社自助理事会每年主办的“准备上学咯！”计划，校友会并因此获得华社颁发“尚仁奖”。基于她坚信校友有责任扶持并引导后辈，她和团队举办了各种活动加强各届校友之间的凝聚力，更促进校友与在校学生之间的交流。冯女士也曾担任班级代表，并在南大第31届杰出校友论坛“迈向健康生活”担任主讲人。

冯女士是南大首届生物医学荣誉学士与中医学双学位毕业生，她在毕业典礼上代表毕业生致辞。冯女士现于杜克-国大医学研究生院攻读医学博士学位。她也是注册中医师，在蔡厝港吉丰区和多项社区活动上提供诊治服务，回馈社会。

Ms Fung graduated as Class Valedictorian of the pioneer cohort of NTU’s Double Degree B.Sc. (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences & B.Medicine (Chinese Medicine) and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. The registered TCM physician makes it a point to pay it forward by providing consultations at Keat Hong Constituency and various community events.

In recognition of her efforts in helping to grow the budding NTU Chinese Medicine Alumni Association (CMAA), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Fung Foon Yin with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Ms Fung has been President of the NTU CMAA since 2013 and was previously its Alumni Wing Chief. Highly passionate about the role of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in our lives, she helped set up the NTU TCM booth at the NTU Fest 2014 carnival. The booth, which saw members of the CMAA providing consultations and ‘tui na’ therapy, as well as creating public awareness and understanding of TCM through exhibits and games, was visited by the event’s Guest-of-Honour the then Minister for Education Mr Heng Swee Keat. During her term, she actively led her alumni in the participation of voluntary consultation events for the needy, such as the beneficiaries of Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC) in their annual "Ready for School" project, for which CMAA was conferred the "New Partner Award" by CDAC. With a firm belief that providing support and guidance for younger peers is an important role of alumni, she and her team organized activities that not only foster intra-alumni bonding but also bolster interaction between alumni and the undergraduates of the double-degree programme. Ms Fung has also served NTU as a speaker at the 31st Distinguished Alumni Forum, “Towards Healthy Living”, and as a Class Agent.

陈芋如女士积极服务于南大机械与宇航工程学院校友会，获南洋理工大学授予南洋校友服务奖以表扬她的贡献。

陈女士2011年毕业后即加入机械与宇航工程学院校友会。她于2014年7月出任校友会会长并着手主办一系列活动加强校友会与会员之间的联系，有紧张刺激的竞赛项目如小型卡丁车大赛、沙箭竞技，也有家庭活动如组团出游河川生态园及新加坡杜莎夫人蜡像馆。

在南大求学期间，陈女士学业与学生活动两者兼顾，游刃有余。她以优异成绩毕业，在毕业典礼上代表毕业生致辞，她也是机械与宇航工程学院毕业晚会主席。学院为栽培明日领袖推出领导力开发计划，而陈女士是这项计划的主席。尽管身兼数职，他仍积极主动向不幸人士伸出援手，2008年至2009年，身为领导力开发计划福利委员会成员的陈女士参与慈善筹款活动以及领导力开发计划海外志愿者体验活动，偕同其他委员会成员远赴柬埔寨博瑞和寮国农核，协助建设计划以及给当地孩童上课。

陈女士踏入职场的第一份工作是加盟新科动力公司担任产品设计工程师，她目前是FMC Technologies的可靠性工程师。

Ms Chen started her career as a Product Design Engineer with ST Kinetics and is currently a Reliability Engineer with FMC Technologies.

Ms Chen Yu Ru SereneSchool of Mechanical and Aerospace EngineeringB.Eng. (Mech.) / Class of 2011

For her dedicated service to the NTU Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Alumni Association (MAEAA), Nanyang Technological University is proud to present Ms Chen Yu Ru Serene with the Nanyang Alumni Service Award.

Ms Chen has been a member of MAEAA since her graduation in 2011. Since being appointed as President in July 2014, she has helped build stronger ties between the association and its members through numerous activities. Activities range from the adrenaline rushing go-kart race, archery tag, to family-oriented excursions to River Safari and Madame Tussuads Singapore.

As an undergraduate, Ms Chen proved more than competent at juggling her studies with student activities. She graduated as Valedictorian and served as the Chairperson for the MAE Graduation Night. She was also the President of the Leadership Development Programme (LDP), an MAE initiative that aims to groom leaders of tomorrow. Despite many roles and responsibilities, she continued to actively reach out to the less fortunate. From 2008 to 2009, she was involved in fundraising activities and the LDP Overseas Volunteer Experience (Project L.O.V.E.) as a member of the LDP’s welfare committee. Along with her fellow committee members, she has helped in construction projects and education for children in Borey, Cambodia and Nonghet, Laos.
