부산국제영화제와 VR 산업에서 다양하고 새로운 사업들을 진행하고 있는 ㈜바른손이 2017년 공동 주최해온 아시아 최대의 VR 시네마 행사인 'VR시네마 in BIFF' 가 3주년을 맞이하게 되었다.

이번 행사에서는 '넥스트 리얼리티'라는 부제를 통해 VR 뿐만 아니라 AR, MR, 홀로그램 등 다양한 형태의 실감 미디어 기술들이 영화 산업 발전에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하며 더하여 영화 제작자들과 기술기반 엔지니어들 간의 교류를 통하여 차세대 영화 발전에 대해서 논의하고자 한다.

'넥스트 리얼리티'의 행사에서는 관객 대상 상영 프로그램인 'VR 씨어터'와 '다이브인 VR', 확장현실을 반영한 '홀로그램 씨어터'의 3개 실감미디어관을 운영하며, 영화 창작자와 산업 종사자들을 위한 케이스 스터디 행사인 'VR 컨퍼런스', 네트워크 행사인 'VR Cine Party', 그리고 올해 VR영화 작품 중 우수작을 선정하는 'VR Award' 로 구성된다.

더 많은 대중들에게 다가가기 위한 다양한 공간 구성과 제작자와 유관기관들을 위한 컨퍼런스와 어워드 등의 신설을 통해서 대중부터 전문가까지 모두 즐길 수 있는 행사로 자리매김할 것이다.

VR 기술은 다양한 콘텐츠를 필두로 대중적으로 확산되고 있으며 AR, MR 등의 다양한 기술의 발전으로 인해 확장현실(eXtended Reality)에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 따른 영화의 새로운 시도들에 대해 살펴본다.

Next Reality

Busan International Film Festival and Barunson, which is conducting various VR projects through new attempts at the VR industry, celebrated its 3rd anniversary with 'VR Cinema in BIFF', Asia's largest VR cinema event, co-hosted since 2017.

Through this subtitle 'Next Reality', we will explore the effect of various types of new media technologies such as AR, MR, and Holograms, as well as VR on Movie. In addition, I would like to discuss the development of new media films through exchanges with filmmakers and technology-based engineers.

At the next reality event features three media venues, 'VR Theater', 'Dive in VR', and 'Hologram Theater' that reflects the expanded reality. The VR Conference, which introduces case studies and new technologies for filmmakers and industry workers, and its extension, the VR Cine Party, a network event for engineers and filmmakers will be held. In addition, VR Award is newly set up to select the best VR movies of the year to inspire production passion and help distribute.

It will be established as an event that can be enjoyed by both the public and the experts through various spaces for VR and new media to reach more people, VR conferences for producers and related organizations and newly established awards.

VR technology is spreading popularly with various contents, and interest in eXtended Reality is increasing due to development of various technologies such as AR and MR. The film's new attempts will be discussed in the VR Cinema in BIFF.

프레임으로부터의 해방 : 360도의 시야를 활용하며, 나아가 시점을 원하는 대로 이동할 수 있는 작품들도 있어 다양한 방식으로 감상할 수 있습니다.
