ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY RELATING TO COVID-19 The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is

extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local

governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited the

congregation of groups of people. Lower Puget Sound Dressage Club (LPSDC) has put in place preventative measures to reduce

the spread of COVID-19; however, LPSDC cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID-19. Further,

participating in a LPSDC show could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19. By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be

exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a LPSDC show and that such exposure or infection may result in

personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by

COVID-19 at any LPSDC show facility may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but

not limited to, LPSDC employees, volunteers, and other participants. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and

accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness,

damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that I may experience or incur in connection with my participating in

LPSDC shows and/or participating in LPSDC classes, private lessons and other activities (“Claims”). On my behalf I hereby

release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless LPSDC board members, members, its employees, agents, and

representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising

out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or

negligence of LPSDC, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after

participation in any LPSDC program. CODE OF CONDUCT:

I understand and agree to the following:

• I will wear a mask at all times when not mounted on a horse. This includes when I am in my horse’s stall, alone, etc.

• I know how far 6’ is from another person and will maintain 6’ space from all persons unless we live in the same household.

• When eating a meal, I will maintain the 6’ Social Distancing rule, with anyone other than a person that lives in my household.

• That I will be civil to all persons on the show grounds; I will remind those that I see having a moment of non-compliance, and I will fully cooperate when others see me having a moment of non-compliance.

• The Show Manager will routinely and regularly be vigilant for non-compliance.

To qualify for LSPDC Year-End awards, you must have completed 10 hours of volunteer time at LPSDC shows during the current season. 5 of those hours may be done by a family member or friend. For members that go above and beyond in their volunteer hours, we will be offering Year-End volunteer awards for 25 hours and more. Our shows can’t happen without YOU. LPSDC VOLUNTEER AWARDS The LPSDC recognizes our Outstanding Volunteers for the hours they generously donate to our club each year. This program is to recognize different milestones of achievement. To be eligible, the individual must be an active member of the LPSDC and have a minimum of 10 volunteer hours at LPSDC shows during the current season. Additional hours may be earned by attending various club activities such as meetings, volunteering at shows, and time committed to committees (show, western dressage, clinics, scholarship, banquet, awards, etc).
