Agapé Baptist College has a well-defined purpose. Training Spirit filled men and women of God for the ministry!

Passion

Agapé Baptist College is sanctified for those men and women who long to know God and who thirst for His Spirit, those who would rather die than not know the breath of God in their lives and ministry. Agapé Baptist College is not for the superficial Christian who is not driven to live for God, but for the Christian who must serve God or be without a purpose in life. We are committed to training church planters and pastors (and their spouses) who seek to serve in the USA, or on the foreign field.

Our Evangelistic Atmosphere

Faculty, staff, and students go soul winning weekly and participate in the evangelistic ministry of Agapé Baptist Church.

Our Fundamental Emphasis

We are fundamentalists and use the term proudly. We believe in a literal Hell which has fire and brimstone and a literal Heaven with streets of gold. We stand for the King James Bible and the local New Testament Baptist church. We believe a biblical local church is reproductive – planting and growing “daughter” churches consistently and steadfastly. As a result of that belief the primary purpose of Agapé Baptist College is the training of spirit, Filled Baptist preachers and church planters.

Doctrinal Statement

Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical historical meaning. The King James Version of the Bible shall be the official and only translation used by the college.

PastorJamesClemensenservedasaCaliforniaHighwayPatrolofficerfor13years,beforeenteringintofulltimeChristianservice.PastorClemensenandhiswife,Kathy,startedAgapeBoardingschoolintheirhomeinStockton,California.TheLordblessed,andtheministrysoonoutgrewtheirhome.Theywenttoseverallocations

beforetheLordallowedthemin1996tosettleona40acrepieceofpropertyinStockton,Missouri.TheministrycontinuedtogrowaswellaswellasPastorClemensen’svisiontohelpthenextgeneration.Theschoolwentfrom40acrestoover500acres,fromseveralsmalloutdatedbuildingstoacampusthatincludestwofullsizedgymnasiums,outdoorswimmingpool,Amphitheater,RodeoArena,threebarns,indoorridingarena,2footballfields,baseballfield,outdoorfloorhockeycourt,commercialkitchenanddinningfacility,weldingshop,automechanicsgarage,andmanyotherbuildings.

PastorClemensenvisioncontinuedtoexpand.Thefallof2018willseethestartofavocationalschoolinweldingandAgapeBaptistCollege.TheseministriesareallowingAgapeBaptistChurchtohaveagreaterimpactonthenextgeneration.

Pastor’sGoldPlan:Thisplanprovidesforyoungmenorwomenwhocomewiththeirpastor’shighestpossiblerecommendationwithafullworkscholarship.MenwillworkfulltimeintheministryofAgapeBaptistChurchandBoardingSchoolaminimumof40hoursaweekwhilemaintainingaG.P.A.ofatleast3.0ona4.0scale.Eachsemestertheywouldcarryanacademicloadofnolessthan12creditsandnomorethan18credits.

LadieswouldfollowthesameplanwhileservingintheministryofWingsofFaithgirlsboardingschool.

Thisworkscholarshipprogramprovidesfor12-18hoursofcreditpersemester.Italsoprovidesforroomandboard.Allotherfeesmustbepaidbythestudent.ItisalsoexpectedthateachstudentenrolledinthisplanwillbeinvolvedontheweekendsintheoutreachministriesandservicesofAgapeBaptistChurch.

2. Pastor’sSilverPlan:Thisplanhasthesamedescriptionwiththeexceptionthatthescholarshipisatuitiononlyscholarshipandroomandboardaretobepaidbythestudentatthecurrentpublishedrate.Theworkportionofthescholarshiprequires20hoursofworkintheappropriateministry(asmentionedabove)andthesameweekendministryinvolvement.Studentswhowishtoparticipateineitheroftheaboveplanswouldbeexpectedtoarriveoncampus30daysbeforethestartofthesemester.Duringthat30dayperiodeachstudentwouldbeintroducedtotheprogramofAgapeBaptistChurchandBoardingSchoolandtrainedtoserveintheprogramwheretheirskillsbestsuitthem.Duringthistime,theywouldliveinthedormitoryfacilitiesandhaveaccesstothedininghallduringmealtimes.Onlyafterthis30dayperiodwillanystudentbeallowedtoregisterforclasses.
