We, the Board of Education, as part of the ongoing “Reconstruction Education in Iwate”

program, are doing everything we can to restore children and students’ opportunities

to study in safe and comfortable educational environments. We are also striving to provide

emotional and character-building support to those students affected by the tsunami in

hope that they will become knowledgeable, virtuous, and strong individuals.

Based on the mid- to long-term "Iwate Residential Plan", the Board of Education places

emphasis on educational measures and the development of social education, lifelong

learning, cultural arts, and sports while remaining appropriately flexible to the needs

of the times.

　教育委員会は、「いわての復興教育」、幼児児童生徒への心のサポートや児童生徒の安全で安心な教育環境の確保など学びの場の復興に全力で取り組むとともに、「知・徳・体」を備え調和のとれた人間形成という教育目的の実現に向けて、「いわて県民計画」に基づき中長期的展望に立ち、学校教育の施策の重点化を図りながら、時代のニーズに的確に対応し、社会教育、生涯学習、文化芸術、スポーツの振興を図ります。
