    The Transport 'etwor# 5ayer is based on &P transport- comprisin "1TP on top of &P.

    The support of any suitable >ata 5in# 5ayer protocol- e.. PPP- 2thernet- etc. - shall not be prevented.

    6 P "aer The e'0 shall support &Pv7 E*F andIor &Pv8 E3F.

    The &P layer of ?* only supports point;to;point transmission for deliverin ?*;P messae.

    The e'0 shall support the >iffserv 1ode Point mar#in as described in E8F.

    "1TP E@F shall be supported as the transport layer of ?* sinallin bearer.

    "1TP refers to the "tream 1ontrol Transmission Protocol developed by the "itran wor#in roup of the &2T= for thepurpose of transportin various sinallin protocols over &P networ#.

    There shall be only one "1TP association established between one e'0 pair. n e'0 shall use the >estination Port'umber value 378** assined by &' to be used for ?*P and this value shall also be used in "ource Port 'umberby all e'0s within a networ#.

    'OT2B multi;homed e'0 implementation should provide the correspondent e'0 with the set of &P addressessupported durin "1TP association establishment unless the correspondent e'0 already has this

    information e.. throuh &P address manaement.n arbitrary e'0 shall be able to initiate the &'&T procedure towards another e'0 for establishin the "1TP

    association.

    The "1TP conestion control may- usin an implementation specific mechanism- initiate hiher layer protocols toreduce the sinallin traffic at the source and prioritise certain messaes.
