我所經過道路，雖然滿佈痛苦，The path that I have trod, Has bro't me nearer God,

卻是引我更近天父；Tho' oft it led thro' sorrow's gates.

雖非我願選擇，但若行走己路，Tho‘ not the way I'd choose, In my way I might lose

我將喪失天樂無窮。The joy that yet for me awaits.

非我願作何事，非我願去何地，Not what I wish to be, Nor where I wish to go,

我是何人，竟敢選擇己路！For who am I that I should choose my way?

救主為我揀選，這是好得無比，The Lord shall choose for me, ‘Tis better far, I know,

去留只願遵主命令。So let Him bid me go, or stay.

若只為得冠冕，使我去負十架，The cross that I must bear, if I a crown would wear,

十架就失該有價值；Is not the cross that I should take,

既為主所頒賜，我就背負無懼，But, since on me 'tis laid, I'll take it, unafraid,

負架原因只為我主。And bear it for the Master's sake.

惟我順服神旨，主愛必然充溢，Submission to the will of Him who guides me still

一路既由祂手引領；Is surety of His love revealed:

主將我心高舉，遠超所居之世，My soul shall rise above this world in which I move;

順服，立見完全得勝。I conquer only where I yield.
