recommended by the manufacturer. • Never operate the exercise bike if it is not working properly, or if it has been damaged. Contact the authorized dealers for

examination and repair. • do not use the exercise bike without proper footwear. NEVER operate the exercise bike with bare feet. • do not wear any clothing that might catch on any moving parts of this exercise bike. • Keep hands and feet clear at all times from moving parts to avoid injury. Never turn the pedal cranks by hand. • do not dismount the exercise bike until the pedals are at a complete STOP. • do not attempt to ride the exercise bike in a standing position at high RPMs until you have practiced at slower speeds. • do not insert any object, hands or feet into any openings, or expose hands, arms or feet to the drive mechanism or other potentially

moving part of the exercise bike. • do not use any equipment that is damaged or has worn or broken parts. Use only replacement parts supplied by the authorized

dealers. • do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or when oxygen is being administered. • Close supervision is necessary when used near children, invalids or disabled people.• When the exercise bike is in use, young children and pets should be kept at least 3 meters / 10 feet away. • Ensure that adjustment levers (seat and handlebar fore-and-aft) are properly secured and do not interfere with range of motion

during exercise.

wARNINGASSEMBLY

There are several areas during the assembly process that special attention must be paid. It is very important to follow the assembly instructions correctly and to make sure all parts are firmly tightened. If the assembly instructions are not followed correctly, the exercise bike could have parts that are not tightened and will seem loose and may cause irritating noises. To prevent damage to the exercise bike, the assembly instructions must be reviewed and corrective actions should be taken.

Before proceeding, find your exercise bike’s serial number located on the front stabilizer tube and enter it in the space provided below.

UNPACkING

Unpack the product where you will be using it. Place the exercise bike carton on a level flat surface. It is recommended that you place a protective covering on your floor. Never open box when it is on its side.

NOTE: during each assembly step, ensure that ALL nuts and bolts are in place and partially threaded in before completely tightening any ONE bolt.

NOTE: A light application of grease may aid in the installation of hardware. Any grease, such as lithium bike grease is recommended.

A Attach pedal straps to pedals.

B Attach the right pedal to the right Crank arm, tightening it CloCkwise with the provided 13mm/15mm flat wrench.

C Attach the left pedal onto the left Crank arm, tightening it Counter-CloCkwise with the provided 13mm/15mm flat wrench. (NOTE: The left crank arm is reversed threaded so it is very important that it is tightened counter-clockwise. Tightening it the opposite way can damage the pedal or the crank arm or both.)

d Connect the Console Cables and carefully tuck the Console Cables into the Console mast.

E Attach the Console to the Console mast using the 4 pre-attaChed sCrews (The screws will have to be removed from the console first).

CONSOLE OPERATION

Note: There is a thin protective sheet of clear plastic on the overlay of the console that should be removed before use.

A) LED DISPLAy wINDOwS: display time and distance during workout.

b) LIVETRACk LCD: displays LIVETRACK fitness journal information. displays heart rate, calories, pace and resistance level during workout.

C) LIVETRACk CONTROLS: used to adjust LIVETRACK display settings.

D) START: press to begin exercising, start your workout, or resume exercising after pause.

E) STOP: press to pause/end your workout. Hold for 3 seconds to reset the console.

f) + / – : used to adjust resistance level.

G) LEVEL QUICk kEyS: used to reach desired resistance level more quickly.

H) PROGRAmmING bUTTON: used to select stage, level, time and other options.

I) CHANGE DISPLAy: press to change display feedback during workout.

J) SPEAkERS: music plays through speakers when your Cd / MP3 player is connected to the console.

k) AUDIO IN JACk: plug your Cd / MP3 player into the console using the included audio adapter cable.

L) AUDIO OUT / HEADPHONE JACk: plug your headphones into this jack to listen to your music through the headphones. Note: when headphones are plugged into the headphone jack the sound will no longer come out through the speakers.

m) mP3 PLAyER POCkET: used to store your MP3 player.

N) READING RACk: holds reading material.

O) ENERGy SAVER: after entering stand-by mode for 10 mins energy saver will run automatically to minimize energy consumption.

DISPLAy wINDOwS

• TImE: Shown as minutes : seconds. View the time remaining or the time elapsed in your workout.

• DISTANCE: Shown as miles. Indicates distance traveled or distance remaining during your workout.

• SPEED (SPD): Shown as MPH or KM/H. Indicates how fast the pedals are moving.

• CALORIES: Total calories burned or calories remaining left to burn during your workout.

• HEART RATE (HR): Shown as BPM (beats per minute). Used to monitor your heart rate (displayed when contact is made with both pulse grips).

• LEVEL (L): Shows the current level of resistance. Will be displayed in the alphanumeric window.

• LIVETRACk LCD DISPLAy: When LIVETRACK is activated, the LIVETRACK information is displayed in this window. Use the four buttons underneath the display to change display information. More information is on page 28.

GETTING STARTED1) Check to make sure no objects are nearby that will hinder the

movement of the exercise bike.

2) Plug in the power cord.

3) You have the following options to start your workout:

A) QUICk START UP

Simply press START to begin working out. Time will count up from 0:00. The resistance level will default to level 1.

b) SELECT A STAGE

1) Use the PROgRAMMINg BUTTON to select USER 1, USER 2 or gUEST and press ENTER. NOTE: if you press START before pressing ENTER, the stage will begin and counts up from 0:00 for the Manual (STA1), and count down from 30:00 for all other stages. The level defaults to 1.

2) Select a stage using + / – and press ENTER on the PROgRAMMINg BUTTON.

3) Select weight using + / – and press ENTER.

4) Set time using + / – and press ENTER.

5) Select a level using + / – and press ENTER.

6) Press START to begin the stage.

DATE AND CLOCk SETUP

1) Enter Setup mode: Press and hold the 2 and 4 keys for 3 seconds.

2) Use + / – on the PROgRAMMINg BUTTON to change settings and press ENTER to confirm.

3) Settings include: Month, day, Year, Hour, Minute, and AM/PM.

4) Review settings: You can review your settings at any time while in setup mode. Press ENTER to scroll through settings.

5) Exit setup mode: To confirm the date and time, press and hold ENTER for 3 seconds.

TO CLEAR SELECTION/RESET THE CONSOLE Hold STOP key for 3 seconds.

fINISHING yOUR wORkOUT When your workout is complete, the display will flash “WORKOUT COMPLETE” and beep. Your workout information will stay displayed on the console for 30 seconds and then reset.

Research shows that those who journal their fitness routines or workouts, on average, achieve greater success than those who do not. Because your new exercise bike is equipped with the exclusive LIVETRACK Fitness Journal System, you’ve taken an important step towards achieving your fitness goals.

The integrated LIVETRACK Fitness Journal software allows you to track your fitness progress over time without the need for paper journals or logs. With LIVETRACK Fitness Journal, you can easily compare your current workout to your last, average or lifetime workout totals. With quick access to feedback like duration of workout or calories burned during previous workouts, you’ll be able to see the progress you’ve made. Read further to learn about how LIVETRACK Fitness Journal can help motivate you to enhance your performance.

SETUP To activate the LIVETRACK Fitness Journal, a user MUST be chosen before the program begins. To select a USER 1 or 2, use the + / – kEyS and press ENTER to confirm. All workout data will accumulate only for the user that is chosen. NOTE: If no user is selected data will not be tracked.

RESETReset all recorded information for User 1 or User 2 by selecting the user and then holding down the wORkOUT STATS/HOLD TO RESET key for 10 seconds. NOTE: This step is permanent and will delete ALL previously accumulated data for the chosen user.

ACCUmULATED DATA

With the LIVETRACK Fitness Journal, you can scroll through your accumulated data in multiple formats by pressing the LIVETRACK buttons. A workout is saved when: the program ends, the console is paused and not resumed within 5 minutes, or the STOP button is held to reset the console.

1) PERSONAL bEST: allows user to scroll through and view 5 personal bests for all previous workouts. They are: • Best Mile – fastest time in which the user has completed a mile • Best 5K – fastest time in which the user has completed a 5K • Longest Workout – (time) • Longest Workout – (distance) • Calories Burned – most calories user has burned in one workout

2) LAST 5 wORkOUTS: allows you to view data from your previous 5 workouts. The following data from these 5 workouts can be scrolled through and viewed by pressing the wORkOUT STATS key:• Time – total time of selected workout • distance – total distance of selected workout • Calories – total calories burned during selected workout • Pace – average pace during selected workout

3) wORkOUT TOTALS: allows you to view the total accumulated workout data. Pressing the wORkOUT TOTAL key will allow you to scroll through the following totals: • Total Workouts • Total distance • Total Calories • Total Time

USING yOUR CD / mP3 PLAyER

1) Connect the included AUdIO AdAPTER CABLE to the AUdIO IN JACK on the top of the console and the headphone jack on your Cd / MP3 player.

2) Use your Cd / MP3 player buttons to adjust song settings.

3) Remove the AUdIO AdAPTER CABLE when not in use.

4) If you don’t want to use the SPEAKERS, you can plug your headphones into the AUdIO OUT JACK at the bottom of the console.
