New Members: We are delighted to have you join our parish family! Registration forms are available in the narthex and in the parish office. They can be mailed, turned into the parish office, or dropped in the collection basket. Come by the church office for a Welcome Packet. Mass Intentions: Please stop by the parish office to offer a Mass intention for a loved one. Baptism: Family must be registered and participate in the life of the Parish. For more information on specific requirements, baptismal preparation, class dates and available Baptism dates, contact the parish office.

Matrimony: Arrangements must be made at least six months prior to the wedding date. Couples must schedule an appointment with the parish priest to secure a date on the parish calendar and begin preparation. Hospital/Homebound/Nursing Homes: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion take communion to the homebound. Family members should call the parish office to inform us about those who are ill.

Altar Flower Donations: To honor or memorialize a loved one with a gift of altar flowers, call or stop by the parish office. Arrangements are $75.

Bulletin and Pulpit Announcements: Items to be published in the bulletin or announced during Mass are due in the parish office by 9:00AM on FRIDAY the week before they are to be published.

We plan financially to go on vacation, we plan financially for the education of our children, we make financial plans for our retirement; do we plan financially to support God’s work in our parish community? In gratitude for the gifts we receive from God, 33% of our registered families and those visiting made a joyful return to the Lord to assist in the support of God’s work in our parish community. Let’s increase this participation to 100%.

Congratulations to Rosalva Montoya and Bryan Ramirez for being selected Woman and Youth of the Year for St. Matthew 2016. We would like to recognize the following nominees:

Irene Boggs, Karen Burton, Lucinda Rickards, Erica Tovar, Sheryl Petrovich, and Diana Vargo.

The Mass from the Archdiocese of Atlanta recognizing the Woman of the Year and the Youth of the Year will be on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00am at St. Brigid Catholic Church in John’s Creek. St. Matthew is having the celebration on Sunday, April 17th at the 10:30am Mass with a reception following in Hedges Hall.

Take a chance on a beautiful, queen size handmade quilt. Tickets are only $1.00 or 6 tickets for $5.00. The monies will be to support many Women’s Club service projects as well as Burn the Mortgage. Tickets will be sold after all Masses on April 23rd and 24th.

Mark your calendar for a day of great fun with your family! On April 24th, St. Matthew will have a kermes (festival). There will be delicious food, live music, dancing, fun games, soccer tournament, raffles, and more. If you would like to be part of this great event, contact Rosalva Montoya at 404-740-8869. In Our Prayers...

"Come, be my disciples"....Jesus has indicated this several times in the bible. A disciple is a follower of Jesus' teachings. Helping the poor and needy is part of Jesus teachings. Saint Vincent de Paul is in need of more disciples to assist the needy in our community. Our next meeting is Thursday April 14, at 7PM in Hedges Hall. Our help line number is 770- 868-5100 Monday thru Thursday. Thank you for your continuous support in this ministry.

Religious Education Classes 2016-17

Please mark your calendar! We will be registering children for the upcoming 2016-17 school year every Saturday and Sunday after all masses during the month of April in the Religious Education Building. A $35 tuition fee per family is required at the time of registration.

• Tiene que estar re istrado y ser miembro activo de la parroquia • Presentar el certificado de nacimiento del niño/a. • Los Padrinos deben ser Católicos

practicantes y estar casados por la Iglesia (presentar acta de matrimonio)

• Si los padrinos no son miembros de nuestra iglesia tendrán que presentar una carta de la iglesia a la que asisten

• Los Padres deberán de asistir a las clases de preparación pre-bautismal.

Re uisitos Para Casarse

Se requieren los siguientes documentos:

• Certificado de Bautismo, Primera Comunión, y Confirmación con fecha de expedición actualizada

• Licencia de Matrimonio, o si ha sido casado por el civil, necesitamos el Certificado de Matrimonio. Haga una cita previa con el sacerdote por lo menos 6 meses antes de fijar la fecha del matrimonio. Tendrán que participar en clases, charlas o seminarios.

• Tienen que estar re istrados y ser miembros activos antes de apartar la fecha.

• Haber recibido su Primera Comunión

• Registrarse en el curso de Educación religiosa de jóvenes.
