Each year in the United States, m

ore than 300,000 people suffer

sudden cardiac arrest. In most communitie

s fewer than 8% survive,

according to the Citizen CPR Foundation. When people like you

take action and become trained to save lives, you’ve joined a

dedicated group of rescuers who can im

prove these outcomes.

First aid training is one of th

e numerous ways in which the

National Safety Council saves lives – by providing you with

the knowledge and confidence you need to respond in a

life-threatening situation.

NSC saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in

homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership,

research, education and advocacy.

Spread the word about the im

A Brazilian national, Carlos Morais was visiting

the United Sates when he suffered cardiac

arrest. A bystander performed CPR until

paramedics arrived, saving Carlos’ life.

This was a life-changing experience for Carlos.

Upon his return to Brazil, he became an NSC®

CPR Instructor. He now not only has the

opportunity to save lives, but also to give

others the knowledge and confi dence they

need to do the same.

At the National Safety Council®, our goal is to

save an additional 10,000 lives and prevent

1 million injuries by 2014. With your help, we

believe we can save more than 2,500 lives in

that period through CPR and AED training.

Our Mission:The National Safety Council saves lives by

preventing injuries at work, in homes and

communities and on the roads through

leadership, research, education and advocacy.

No instructor restrictions

Teach courses from other providers as well as NSC— get grandfathered in if you are authorized to teach fi rst aid and CPR by another provider.

Preferred product pricing Everything you need is available at one low price so you can lead a successful course. Our Instructor Resource Kit is composed of a DVD, CD, Instructor Manual, Instructional DVD, Resource CD and Student Workbook. Student Workbooks include course completion cards and are priced with no hidden fees.

Too many students trained in fi rst aid lack the confi dence to respond when an emergency occurs. Simply passing on knowledge does not work. Along with technical, detailed information, it’s critical to build skills that enable your students to respond confi dently in a life-threatening situation.

NSC training focuses on hands-on practice and repetition, building more self-confi dence so your students can perform well during an emergency.

No boring modules and infl exible programming options—just quality classroom or online training that addresses each client’s needs. Whether you’re concerned with meeting OSHA standards, training Emergency Medical Service professionals or teaching daycare providers about the special needs of infants and children, NSC courses are the ideal solution.

Focus on training, not administration NSC provides access to the recordkeeping database at no cost to you—simply enter your students’ records and NSC will notify them when their completion cards are about to expire. This allows you to concentrate on your core competencies instead of worrying about administrative details.

NSCEmergencyMedical ResponseTEXTBOOK

Each year in the United States, more than 300,000 people suffer sudden cardiac arrest. In most communities fewer than 8% survive, according to the Citizen CPR Foundation. When people like you take action and become trained to save lives, you’ve joined a dedicated group of rescuers who can improve these outcomes.

First aid training is one of the numerous ways in which the National Safety Council saves lives – by providing you with the knowledge and confidence you need to respond in a life-threatening situation.

NSC saves lives by preventing injuries and deaths at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads through leadership, research, education and advocacy.

Spread the word about the importance of first aid training. Please share these lifesaving materials and skills, and encourage your loved ones to enroll in an NSC course.

Realistic to the eye and the touch, the Prestan Adult Professional Manikins and Infant Professional Manikins feature a CPR rate monitor that allows for instant feedback to both instructor and student regarding the rate of chest compression. This enables each student to gauge his or her rate of compressions, while allowing the instructor to monitor several students quickly and easily.

The manikins also simulate the way an actual victim’s head would move if CPR is required. In addition, the unique construction of the Prestan manikin incorporates a mechanism to ensure that students compress at the proper depth.
