    Matisse is renowned or painting natureand people. He is amous or his

    Matisse was not aiming to depict theanatomy o people. He was trying to

    express emotions.

    To do this he distorted the fgures andpainted them in striking colours.

    Matisse gave up his career as a lawyer to study FineArts and learn how to paint. He was a very restless

    Discover colour contrasts

    Paint the fgures using the secondary colours: green, orange and purple.
