What is it?

“m-commerce are any commercial transactions and communication activities conducted through wireless communication services and networks using handheld mobile devices that have been designed to be used within mobile or otherwireless communications networks.“

Why is it special?

Display

Size limits amount of data that can be displayed or read comfortably

Legal Problems

• Information requirements may not be met or simply ignored by users

• Sites optimized for mobile use may differ from their non-optimized counterparts

• Limited or not possible

• Features generally set, when device is delivered

Legal Problems

Legal requirements can not be met if no appropriate solutions for mobile devices exist (e.g. signatures)

• … tough it needs to be adapted

• Reduce / abolish media discontinuity

• Take limitations and peculiarities but also existing m-commerce offerings into account when drafting legal provisions
