낮은 열전도율값으로 뛰어난 보온력을 가짐, 이론적으로는Mineral Wool대비 57%의 단열두께로 동일한 보온력을 유지. 이 효과로 인해 발생될 부가적인 Save요인들, 즉 철구조물 두께 등과 시공비를 감안하면 Save시킬 수 있는 요인은더욱 많음.

Mineral Wool은 물리적인 강도가 없어, 지지해주는 구조물로의 작용을 전혀못함.또한, 시간경과에 따라 Mineral(Glass) Wool이 아래로 조금씩 쳐져서 내려오기 때문에 상부부터 단열재 공백현상이조금씩 발생함. 수분에 약하기 때문에 투습시 보온성을 전혀 발휘하지 못함.
