Preface
China Hi-Tech Fair 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the “CHTF 2015”) came to a
successful conclusion at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center on the afternoon of
November 21, 2015. This fair is the first domestic technology event after the successful
convocation of the Fifth Plenum of the 18th
Central Committee of the Communist Party
of China. Based on the strategy of development driven by service innovation and with
the theme of “innovative entrepreneurship, cross-border integration”, CHTF 2015
aims to fully demonstrate the achievements of China in promoting entrepreneurship and
innovation and accelerating industry convergence. It acts as an efficient platform for
boosting cross-domain and cross-industry collaborative innovation, promoting the
capitalization and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements,
deepening international exchanges and cooperation in science and technology and
stimulating the vitality of entrepreneurship and innovation of the whole society,
manifesting a more important role of “industry vane”, “technology vane” and
“innovation vane” in high-tech areas.
With a total exhibition area of 150,000 square meters, CHTF 2015 attracts
583,000 participants including 128 delegations from 94 countries and regions to the
main venue and branch venues. Totally 3,686 exhibitors participate in the fair. The
popularity index of professional visitors1 is 238, i.e., each booth receives 238
professional visitors on average each day; the popularity index of purchasers is 56, i.e.,
each booth receives 56 purchasers on average each day who have purchase intentions
or actual purchase behaviors. 1,496 reporters from 214 domestic and overseas media
have reported the grand fair.
1The purchasers (including enterprises and individuals) engaging in the products and services displayed at the
exhibition and the insiders providing relevant services. Part I Survey implementation overview
I. Survey information summary
(I) Explanation of evaluation modules
The effect evaluation for CHTF 2015 mainly covers three modules: satisfaction
rate and effect evaluation, special investigation (the satisfaction of forums and
activities, satisfaction investigation on release of new products & technologies) and
popularity index statistics.
(II) Explanation of evaluation implementation
We plan to evaluate 3,000 samples and actually evaluate 3,276 samples. Upon
audit, there are 3,102 effective samples and the effective rate is 94.69%.
II. Major analysis methods
Five statistical analysis methods are adopted for satisfaction rate and effect
evaluation: comparative analysis, frequency analysis, single factor analysis of variance,
improvement priority index analysis and structural equation modeling.
III. Questionnaire reliability explanation
After the evaluation statistics, we can get that the questionnaire reliability of
exhibitors is 0.938, of visitors is 0.952, of investors is 0.898, of forums and activities is
0.948, and of release of new products & technologies is 0.916. All these indicate that

IV. Comments of media
CCTV Topics in Focus
For 17 years, CHTF not only serves as an exhibition and trading platform of
hi-tech achievements, but also serves as a “vane” that leads industry transformation
and upgrading of China. On CHTF 2015, there are 10 professional exhibition areas and
numerous new technologies and products. Many Chinese enterprises such as Tencent,
Baidu, Kuang-Chi and DJI participate in CHTF 2015 and have equal shares with
international transnational corporations. Participants are attracted by some leading
products, such as flight bag, UAV and high-end robot.
People’s Daily
Shenzhen’s perseverance to CHTF for over 10 years is one of the important
reasons for the fast development of Shenzhen’s high and new technology industries.
CUTV
Shenzhen CHTF is becoming the first stop for many overseas manufacturers to
compete in the Chinese market. Here, they can find out both cutting-edge technologies
and business partners.
Shenzhen TV
With the theme of “innovative entrepreneurship, cross-border integration”, CHTF
2015 responds to the innovative development philosophy of China. In fully displaying
hi-tech achievements, CHTF 2015 strives to realize in-depth integration of technology
and economy and push forward the construction of an innovative country.
