MMC General Body Meeting:

MMC will hold annual general body meeting and 2010 executive committee

elections on Saturday, October 24th during the Diwali program.

If you wish to be part of the 2010 Executive Committee or volunteer for

MMC activities, please send an email to [email protected]. This email

should be received by October 22nd, 2009.

Let us know which position you wish to contest and a brief resume.

Namaskar Dear Members,

I would like to wish you and your family a very happy Diwali and prosperous New

Year.

Your karyakarini has almost completed its term with Diwali being the last big

event of the year. It has been a great experience running MMC and we thank

you for your support and enthusiasm. We hope that you enjoyed the variety of

programs we brought to Chicago during the course of the year.

Looking forward to next year, we are in a unique position. I am sure you are

aware that MMC will be hosting the BMM 2011 Convention in Chicago. MMC

teams will be busy getting ready for the convention while at the same time our

regular MMC functions have to continue. We will for sure need plenty of

volunteers to manage these two undertakings.

I urge you to signup as a volunteer for the convention online at:

http://www.mahamandalchicago.org/bmmvolunteer.aspx as well as come forward

to assist with the regular MMC activities.

On a parting note, I would like to stress the importance of being an annual

member of MMC. The small donation you pay towards the annual membership

goes a long way to subsidize MMC programs and is a primary source of income.

This allows your karyakarini to bring quality programs to our city as well as rent

better venues. We request current members to continue to be MMC members

for 2010 and encourage you to get the annual 2010 membership if you are not

an existing member.
